Invasion Future Mission Archetypes

As of now, Invasion missions only involve one really special tileset, which is the Grineer-Corpus Boarding Invasion, where you fight across the two battleships. I'll be posting future Invasion Archetypes, or variations of the current Invasion missions, for more variety and less repetitiveness between missions (we can already play Defense with Invasion, but lets add more!).

Invasion-Sabotage/Deception?

Flavor Text:

“In response to narrowing resources and trade channels, the Grineer and Corpus are running into disputes over trade route territory. FOMORIAN and ASCENSION cruisers have been sighted escorting a convoys of Cargo ships throughout one-way trading routes. Your job Tenno, is to infiltrate and disable the defensive and offensive systems of one of the factions in order for the other to gain an upper hand in the ensuing dogfight. Escape the cruisers before they are destroyed by the counterattack.” -Lotus Description

Ascension Info

In response to the Grineer Fomorians, Ascensions are a new brand of Corpus spacecraft that are geared primarily towards war. Frohd Bek has pitched the blueprints of these vessels to the Corpus Board, and has gained funding towards the construction of a sizeable fleet of these ships. The Ascension-class ships will utilize parts of the newer Corpus Ship tileset (implemented in the Hunt for Alad V and the recent Invasion missions), and along with the ships theme, will have larger rooms than the Corpus Freighter.

Mission Info

Players will start on the opposite faction’s ship (Fomorian or Ascension). The Allied faction will contact the player and serve as a guide during the mission. Initially, the Captain will inform the player that they have [10 minutes?] to disable the ships systems before they get into firing range. Players do not necessarily need to complete the mission within the initial time, but they will get an extra credit bonus (or others), should they disable everything before the attack starts.

On Fomorians, players will have to disable the following systems in any order:

  1. -Gun Battery
  2. -Shock Torpedos
  3. -Main Engine

On Ascensions, players will disable the following similarly:

  1. -Railgun Battery
  2. -Corrosive Torpedos
  3. -Main Engine

There are multiple objectives per category (4 Gun Batteries, 2 Torpedo bays, etc), but there will always be one Engine. Don’t fret, they are located close to each other. Once the players are successful in their mission, the Captain will tell the player to evacuate before their bombardment is finished. The ship will be shelled by the Allied faction’s Torpedos and Batteries, blowing out parts of the ship. Player's must reach their Allied faction's ship to extract.

If Player's are unable to clear the assigned objectives by the end of the mission, any left objectives will deduct bonus pay from the reward, and the players will now be tasked with the objective of returning to the Allied ship and fight their way to extraction while enemies warp/Drop-pod into the Allied ship. Unlike the Perfect runthrough, the extraction isn't timed, and when player's extract, they will catch a glimpse of the two cruisers locked in a dogfight.

EDIT: Should this be termed as a Sabotage or Deception mission? The original plan was for it to be Deception, however after rereading it, it posed more like a Sabotage mission.
