I believe the deal is being considered, from what I can tell. But the terms they put it in, makes it sound like the deed has already been drawn up and every one has shaken hands. If they bring in the same kind of cash shop cluster f**k as they have on PW, I'm going to quit Warframe in less than 2 seconds, and forget about the game in the next 5. It's absolutely fine that DE is using platinum items to bring in some money for development, but if they head downt he same road as PW, the game will die. Trust me. Also, as others has stated, I wont be spending more money on warframe before I know PW will not be involved with the development. "We can't talk about it" or "We're looking forward to it optimistically"? I mean, really, there's nothing DE can say about this that would change anything, and they're likely to give lots and lots of typical answers about this, nothing more. As the others said, yes they are worse imo. If this is true, I will be completely done with Warframe. DE has given me one of the most pleasurable game experiences I have had. Basically they are the casino mob masters of video games, they will make even cash shops rng based, and will make you spend a hell of a lot more money on a game than you should, of games they make themselves, they have almost zero creativity and effort, since it uses the same engine over and over again, but reskinned. They basically sell their own rpg maker games as actual games, and buy out what they can and turn them into a great big roulette scam of a video game market. Warframe is a game with a huge amount of potential, and having PW pulling their strings behind the scenes is a surefire way to destroy that potential. I'm not sure that there's anything you (DE) could do at this point, but I would applaud any efforts made to stop this from happening. Even self-sabotoge to make the company seem less desirable is not out of the question. (For those of you who aren't familiar with PW, acquisition by them will dramatically shift development away from new gameplay content. Instead, expect development to focus on a plethora of obnoxious, obtrusive lockbox and other lottery-type systems) Holy moses. NO please god no Do not let PWE take this game from us!
