Chapter 1

"Sir!!, The Cryopod seems to be something that isn't a Tenno!"  a Red Veil scout spoke quickly into his headset, his shock stemmed from seeing what looked like a human in the cryopod.

 

"Activate it, we must know who this person is and if he has any information that may help our friends the Tenno"  a gruff voice answered back through the slight static he was receiving, with a nervous and shaking hand he slowly flipped the switch flushing the pod from where it was being held.  With a thud a figure dropped to the floor before quickly attacking the man that had just released him.

 

"Where is she?!?! Where did you put her?!?!" His voice was sharp, he seemed very agitated and his right hand was covered in what looked like a dark metal very intricately crafted to resemble a clawed gauntlet with a slight bulge on the back of his palm. The strange metal seemed to stop at the end of his wrist but the flesh of the arm seemed blackened, almost charred in appearance.  The scout stammered his reply

 

"S...Sir please calm down, this was the only pod we found, the rest seemed to either have been taken or destroyed.  W...who ever it is you were looking for is most likely go-" the man's clawed hand clamped on the poor scout throat as a low growl erupted from the attackers throat causing more fear to course through the man's body fearing that he may have released something not meant to be alive.

 

"What was that? She might be what? Dead?  Trust me she isn't!! I can feel it, in my atrocious hand, it compels me to find her....  Now tell me where I am and where I can find a weapon."  He had calmed down if only enough to let the man's throat go leaving him gasping and sputtering trying to get air into his lungs.

 

"There is a Grineer Weapons Depot near by, we are on Earth sir, what hasn't been overtaken by the forest."

 

"Forest?  How long have I been out?  Last I recall she and I were being put to sleep after having gone to that wretched place they call the Void"  at the utterance of his last words the scout shivered and realized this man, whatever he was had been exposed to the Void and it's almost arcane forces.  Fear once more took over the man as he did not look into his attacker's eyes.

 

"Sir, if I may ask?  What or who are you?"

 

"I...I am Zero, a simple Soldier that was contracted to see what lay beyond those gates some crazy scientists had created to explore the Void.  You didn't answer my question, How long have I been sleeping?"  Once more irritation rose from Zero's throat, he had begun to feel annoyed that some unknown and weirdly dressed man had roused him from his slumber.

 

"I don't know,  You predate most of the technology the Orokin left us, I'm not even sure what you are, sir"  His words stung at Zero's ears.  He had slept for so long he had no idea what events had transpired while he was here locked away like some item for these men's use.

 

"Fine, lead me to the Grineer's depot. Whoever they are"  and with that the duo set out while the scout mussed about the man known as Zero and his mysterious right arm, for a moment he thought a golden eyeball was looking at him from the right arm.  In a moment the eye closed as Zero clutched his arm momentarily, shaking some unknown force off himself.

 

 

Looking up Zero could see the night sky through the thick and ever expanding trees that inhabited earth, he heard growls, leaves rustling, and many many footsteps coming from what seemed to be a base or sorts.  Men wearing bulky armor and females that seemed horrifically disfigured by robotic implants patrolled the area, to his dismay they spoke a language he neither understood nor wanted to.  The scout had left more likely afraid of meeting the Grineer troops.  Looking around Zero grabbed a large stick from the ground before letting out once more a low growl.   To his luck dog-like animals ambushed the patrolling unit allowing him to sneak by before grabbing the gun of the nearest man and a few magazine cartridges.

 

"This should be enough to see me to their armory, I just have to follow the tracks they left me." He thought to himself as the creatures noticed him their eyes met his green and blue eyes, cocking their heads they seemed more interested in his stick than him.

 

"You guys want this?" He waved the stick before throwing it a ways, they took off going after the stick before bringing it back to him.  A idea sparked in his head.

 

"How would you guys mind helping me get a few more toys?"

 

Chapter 2

 

Without waiting to see if the animals would respond Zero took the stick and drew the pack of toward the camp before throwing it right into the camp, as expected the animals took notice of the Grineer and attacked allowing him to slip in undetected before a familiar pain took hold of his arm, a voice spoke in his head.

 

"I smell fresh blood......is it time we feast?"  the voice softer that Zero's but with a more lunatic tone seemed to echo in the forest.

 

"Yeah, guess I haven't had fun in a long time..." Closing his eyes Zero prepared for what he knew would happen next, the clawed gauntlet expanded as the eye opened fully.  From his wrist to his should his right arm was completely covered in the metal it's sheen reflecting the lights that were set up,  with in moments along with the howls of the Kubrows came a eerie almost child-like laughter emanating from Zero himself.   He rushed a small group that had spotted him quickly over taking the lightest unit, his armored hand grabbing the man by the face before the same black metal that covered his hand erupted out of the poor soldiers body.  Without hesitation the Lancers began to unload on this being they knew could not be a Tenno, Zero felt the sting of their bullets before flinging the body of their comrade at them knocking a few off their feet.

 

"Get Klem!!" Shouted a larger male-like man his armor was a dark grey and he seemed to have a horn on his helmet, Zero simly smiled and focused.  Pulling a black almost glass like sword from the void he plunged his mental construct into the ground causing multiple spike of black metal to erupt under the Lancer and Hellions that had surrounded him before retracting as he snapped the sword.

 

"Guess I still need practice, that was way too small of a radius" He muttered to the being in his right arm

 

"With more food we become stronger....we must feast" it's reply came into his mind causing a slight discomfort in Zero.  The remaining troops that weren't too badly injured by the now subdued Kubrows took the chance and began to unleash upon him hoping this new devil would die like many of the Tenno had.  To their shock he shrugged off all the bullets his upper body now encased in a black metal armor, the one on his right arm becoming even more intricate and moving, as if it were alive.

 

Their commander seemed to utter something before they seeming began a almost foolhardy rush to him.  Within moment many of the Heavy grineer had thrown him to the ground trying to keep him pinned down.  A slight struggle before more black metal spikes erupted, this time from the armor impaling a few unlucky Grineer and only damaging light the luckier one.  Zero brought out the gun he had been carrying it seemed to be a small assault rifle with a red ribbon around the barrel, with a quick click he undid the safety and unloaded the small magazine into the group before him. 

 

As the sun rose a group of four arrived at the scene, they saw what seemed like flakes of metal everywhere and at the center Zero, knocked unconscious his body seemed unknown to them the charred right arm and odd gauntlet.  Yet when they looked among them a message interrupted the silence.

 

"Tenno whoever that man is, he's the one the Red Veil told us of, quickly grab him so that we can either interrogate or welcome into our fold" Lotus spoke worriedly, she had never seen something like this, before they moved Zero grabbed the stick he had found earlier and stood up weakly.

 

"First Lady, get out of my head and second of all tell me who you are and who you work for."

 

"I'll explain everything"

 

Chapter 3

"It's all I'm asking, now what about you four?  Can you talk?"  His eyes locked onto the male-esque figure at the front on the group.

 

"I'm Zephyr, nice to meet you.  Zero? I think that's what the scout called you"  Her voice surprised him considering he though she had been a male.

 

"I'm Ember and the big guy next to me is Frost" She seemed to have a bounce to her voice almost happy to introduce herself and the male next to her.

 

"Oh! and this quiet guy is Ash, though he may act all high and mighty he's quite the lap dog" Ember chuckled as Ash turned to her giving her what could be a cold shoulder.

 

"I take it you guys are what the Grineer called Tenno, I must admit those suits seem very 'organic'.  If I may ask do you have normal names or just your armor names?"  Zero had relaxed allowing himself to lean on a tree to study what remained of the camp, most of was left was covered in the black metal his hand was covered in.  The rifle he had been using last night was destroyed, almost as if a great pressure had destroyed it from the inside out like all of the bodies that hadn't be eaten by the fauna.

 

"Lotus, shall we take him in or do we-" a sharp crack stopped Zephyr as a tree came crashing towards her, without thought Zero dashed taking her in his arms and quickly getting her out of the way.

 

"Watch it, I don't know who you are and what that thing on you arm is." She spoke almost ashamed she had been caught off guard

 

"This is Void Steel, pretty much solidified energy from the Void. Slightly sentient and very hungry but seems it doesn't respond to you guys vital signals.  I take it all of you were exposed to the Void as well."  He looked at Zephyr figuring she might be the leader of this squad,  she nodded before pushing him off her gently.  he could hear a chuckle coming from Ash before another crash resounded from the forest.

 

"Halt!! By orders of captain Vor we are here for the Human, hand him over and you will not suffer Tenno!!" a rough and very force English was heard from a speaker as Zero stood up.  His long coat fluttered in the wind as he reached for his arm, time slowed for him as he raised his right arm to meet he face

 

"Hey partner, I think it's time to wake up.  We got company and not the friendly welcome to the neighborhood kind."

 

"Sl...Sleep....I want slumber.....too much food last night...."

 

"Hey now you can't be full just yet, besides this guy sounds fun.  Just some back up would work."

 

"Sleep..."

 

Zero muttered realizing the being in his arm would not help him this time, without waiting he held the stick tightly before grabbing it with both hands as time resumed for him.

 

"Yoh! You four get back I wanna face this guy myself, no back up"  He could here a disappointed sigh from Ember as Frost patted her head gently while Ash simply nodded.

 

"Freya" Zephyr muttered

 

"What?"

 

"My name is Freya, you asked if we have names besides the ones are Warframe's mine is Freya"  She sounded slightly happy before they headed away leaving Zero to face the man known as Capt. Vor.

 

"You must really think you're something, but I know you're just a human who got lucky last night" Vor appeared from a machine a scowl on his lips, he looked at Zero the clothing resembled nothing he had seen not even frm Earth Tribes that still existed within the vines and leaves of the forests.   Without thought Zero rushed towards him wielding his stick like a makeshift sword.  Vor smirked pulling out a Skana he had taken from a dead Tenno's body before clashing against Zero's stick, within moments he felt a great force come from the male pushing him back a few feet rocking the machine.  Pushing Zero back Vor grabbed his pistol firing a few rounds of his personal pistol,  he managed to get two shots in before Zero rushed him planting his feet firmly in the ground while placing his left forearm and right hand across Vor's chest sending a pulse of energy through Vor before rocketing him into the nearest tree.

 

"Huh, I thought that would of made you go boom.  Guess I'm still a bit too weak to go full force." Zero remarked speaking in a joking tone towards Vor.

 

"Whatever you are, I will not fail to you.  I will bring you to the Queen's best scientists for dissection, you will make a great addition to our cloning pools!!" Vor Briefly disappeared from Zero's view before slamming his feet on the human's back the metal foot shoving him back a few feet.   Zero groaned in pain slightly feeling the old man's weight on the kick.   Turning around he once more swung the stick clashing against Vor's own blade.   They repeatedly clashed the wooden stick not breaking in any of them, never yielding nor bending.  

 

"I tired of this Human!! Feel the power of the Void!!" Without worry of repercussion Vor grabbed his key and sent a large pulse of energy towards the slightly stunned male who took it full force sending him flying back into the truck of a tree.  Zero hadn't been expecting a weird amalgamation of a man to use the Void as a power source no less such a powerful stream of golden energy.  Reaching with his right hand he grasped the energy sending his 'partner' into a crazed state

 

"I AM AWAKE!!!" the voice was rich and smooth as it reverberated through the forest, Freye and co. were able to hear it from where they were waiting.  She felt a pang of almost nostalgia hearing it.  Zero simply smiled as the energy surrounding him became the milky star filled Void he remembered.  Closing his hand on the beam causing Vor's key to shatter. 

 

"How!! no one has survived such a potent blast!" Vor shouted in a voice mixed with anger and his first tinge of fear

 

"Easy, I was killed by the Void, so it can't do any worse than it has already.  Besides I won't die till I find her.  Now let me show you the true power of the Void."  Zero's voice echoed in the hollowed part of the tree, his body giving off a black almost light-less energy from his body, a elegant armor adorned his body which was now covered by the Void Steel.  A crest resembling a broken moon and fang was etched on his chest as a feathery plumes were at the top of his helmet, the golden eye on his right hand was fully open and moving.

 

"That there is your meal partner, now let's prepare him into a feast." Without a reply Zero dashed towards Vor once more planting his forearm and hand into the mans chest sending him flying back at a faster speed before jumping to kick him into the ground.  Without hesitation he slammed his foot into the old man's chest and letting out a a shrill howl only to be stopped by a hammer thrown into his body cracking the armor and throwing him into a tree.

 

"Vor are you Alright, that 'thing' wasn't too much of a problem?"  a large and imposing figure spoke after grabbing the hammer.

 

"Thank you Kril, we should regroup before engaging him.  He seems to be like the Tenno a warped being of the void."  Vor spoke calmly before they left an unconscious Zero lodged in a tree as the armor cracked and shattered reverting back to just his clawed gauntlet and charred right arm.

 

"Crud, did I just get nailed into a tree?"

 

Chapter 4

"You know, you didn't have to tell him your name Freya.  He's just a target we have to escort to where Lady Lotus tells us to."  Ash spoke softly looking at here a unknown feeling had been stirring in him since they had met the male known as Zero.  It had only grown stronger when Freya spoke her name to him.  She turned to look at him as she removed her helmet her long bangs covering the scarring over the left side of her otherwise very fair skin.

 

"You really are too strict, besides what gives you the right to call me by my name when you won't even state yours to anyone?" She seemed agitated as she stared him down her dark purple eyes seemed to compliment her slightly violet hair and armor.  Ash held up his hands in protest as he knew she was getting mad.

 

"relax i won't say it anymore, what is it like a thing only 'Zero' can say?  Besides for all we know he might be dead or a traitor." He knew he had to be right, no single Tenno could take on Vor without some form of weapon and all that Human had was a stick and some malformed had.  He noticed Freya looking longingly towards the location of the explosion that had occurred earlier.

 

"I'll go check you Frost and Ember head back, if anyone can move quickly of the four of us it's me." Freya spoke calmly before placing her helmet back on. 'He has to be alive he looked stronger and different from anything I've ever seen. he has to'  She was stopped mid-stride by Ash.

 

"I'll go if anything happens you guys will notice my smokescreen as a distress signal.  Besides we can't let our leader go out like that you are the youngest of us after all'  She could feel him smile at her as she nodded reluctantly before leading the now flirting couple towards their evacuation route.  Inside Ash's mind he knew he had to rid them of Zero he was a threat to Lotus and to Freya.

 

"You know I think Ashy is jealous that you told Zero your name, I don't blame you though.  I mean did you see how many Grineer he had taken out with just that stick?" Ember chuckled as Frost just sighed knowing she was just trying to get a reaction out of him.

 

Ash had turned off his communicator along with tracking signal as he progressed quickly to where Zero was last seen, he knew if the male had survived he'd be weakened or near death allowing him to lay blame on Vor for his death.  Maybe then he thought Zephyr would notice him and allow him to use her name.  He shrug the thought out of his head reminding himself that he served Lady Lotus and any emotional attachments may cost him focus in a battle.  Nearing what was now a wasteland he saw Zero slumped on a trunk using the stick as a crutch.

 

"Hey if you're hear to save, kinda late bud.  If you're hear to kill me, mind letting me catch my breath?" Zero spoke jokingly as he saw Ash walk towards him his throwing knives in hand.  Zero simply stood up hoping his 'partner' would wake up to save him again but knew even he had sustained too much damage against those two guys.  Steadying himself he prepared for the worst.

 

"You! I have a few questions!! What are you? Who are you? Why do the records lady Lotus had kept show no indication of you?" Ash asked as he took off his helmet his relatively normal visage felt odd to Zero almost as if he was missing something, then he saw it.  Ash was blind, his crystal blue eyes were unfocused yet they could clearly see where Zero was standing.

 

"Well me? I am Zero, a simple soldier for a small military contractor.  I'm Human, at least I was before entering the void.  I am technically dead, died upon entry of the Void damn thing burned like hell yet all that really is burned is my right arm and part of my chest and back.  Besides that I don't think I really was mentioned in reports neither was she...." Zero trailed off keeping the last part to himself as he mused when she could be, maybe she was this Lotus but they didn't have the same voice or accent.

 

"And what are your intentions with Freya?" The last question sparked curiosity in Zero, could it be Ash had feelings for her?

 

"You mean the cute little bird, well i thought it was a boy since her armor is pretty unisex, besides that she sounded cute. you think she's into me?" He smiled slightly before noticing Ash was coming at him with his fist raised ready to punch him in the face.  He took the hit coughing slightly before returning one into Ash's chest knocking the wind out of the blind male.

 

"Woah buddy don't worry I'm not into her I'm a taken man, my partner was sleeping with me.  I'm after her cryopod." He reassured the jealous Ash who regained his composure.

 

"Then don't you dare lead her on or toy with her heart or I will kill you," As to show he was serious Ash let out one of his wrist blades, Zero simply smiled and shrugged as if to agree.  With that the two limped back to the group.

 

"So how does it feel to be blind?"

 

Chapter 5

Looking out the the Pad the three were waiting for the Zero looked to Ash, his gaze met the now masked male's as they had stayed in silence on their way back while Zero had tried to get parts of Ash's past from him.  The male had remained quite silent yet would nod when Zero's guess would be correct.  Freya went up to them and shifted Zero's weight from Ash to herself accidentally brushing against Zero's scarred flesh.

 

"Watch it!! it may be scar tissue but it still hurts you know." He spoke going from angry to understanding as she looked down.

 

"Sorry it's just Ash looks a bit worse for wear and I figured I could help since that's a leaders duty." He voice was quiet and distant almost as if she was scolding herself for the mistake more than she should.  Zero simply smiled and patted her head gently propping himself against her gently.

 

"Lead away miss Freya"  He spoke warmly to her almost like a older sibling would speak.  She seemed to cheer up and nodded leading him to a small cargo ship.

 

"I'll take him to get some equipment and we'll meet at the solar rail so we can figure out what to do" Freya spoke to the other three as they nodded before heading off in their personal ships as she and Zero boarded hers.

 

"So what happened to you? did you really take Vor on and win?" Freya asked with a glint of child-like curiosity as he sat in one of the benches shaking his head while rubbing his still normal wrist.

 

"I blacked out when Vor filled me with Void energy, I don't think he understood what happened all I remember is waking up imbedded into a tree.  Besides that I have a vague feeling I was hit by a very large hammer." Zero rubbed his chest as time once more slowed and the being in his arm spoke to him.

 

"She seems nice, is she a meal?"

 

"No she is a friend someone who will help us.  Besides I thought you were full after that banquet our enemy gave you" Zero chuckled at his analogy softly

 

"Energy wasted by keeping you alive, feed constantly to be strong"  He could tell his partner was falling asleep again as Freya looked at him

 

"What was that?" She asked pointing to the now closing eye on the back of his hand. He simply held it up to her.

 

"Well I honestly don't know I just call him my partner, converts matter into energy or feeds of the void directly. you could say it's like a parasite I picked up on my one and only visit to the void.  I just remember passing the portal into darkness then a bright light and all I remember is doctors trying to graft parts off my arm as I screamed in pain.  the scar tissue is due to them removing armor parts with a plasma cutter.  They asked to remove my hand but I said enough was enough and they left me keep this.  I can grow the armor back but I'd need a lot of energy" Zero reminisced sorrowfully at the mention of his past. Freya gently touched his hand with hers before taking off her helmet.

 

"A few Tenno aren't really from Cryo-sleep some of us are able to take off the armor since we are accidents of Void exposure, I myself was infected by the void, like you. Luckily I was given this suit to contain it and eventually be released from it.  I just have burnt scar tissue on my face and left body.  I just miss my family sometimes, they think I'm dead so that they don't pursue me." she looked up her eyes covered in tears slightly as she kept his hand in hers.  "Do you miss your family Zero?"

 

"I don't know, I don't really remember them much.  I myself was more of a adoption case always sent to new homes till I was 18 then joined a Merc group in hopes for quick money.  Instead I ended up here in a future where I have no clue what caused it." He gently brushed her tears away knowing what it meant to miss home and loved ones. "I'll be your family Freya, that way you don't feel too alone."  She simply nodded before brushing off her tears and looking at him. 

 

"We're going to be meeting a man, he's a black market salesman who sells weapons among many things people from the colonies need.  I'm sure we could get you a portable shield and some space equipment so that you can come with us to less welcoming areas" She placed on her helmet as they reached what looked like a broken ring as it began to shimmer showing them a larger cargo ship. Docking gently Freya handed Zero a rather big and bulky suit which he managed to tear with his right hand as the gauntlet adapted to it to cover the rips as he placed the helmet.

 

"Tenno!! Why do you have a...what is that" Spoke a rather friendly man

 

Chapter 6-10

 

Chapter 6

A man wearing a slightly over-sized hat and blue coat looked at them as Zero tried to see through the small visor the helmet had giving him quite a limited field of view.  What he could see was that the man was young and looked human.  The man's dark eyes squinting into the visor.

 

"Take that helmet off what ever you are, let me see those eyes." Zero nodded simply crumpling the metal with his hand and tossing it to the floor his black hair rolling out of its containment.  For a moment the man circled around him inspecting him almost as if looking for something wrong with him besides the obvious hand.

 

"Your name?" He spoke at last looking into Zero's Heterochromic eyes surprised by the dual colors that seemed to fluctuate in colors.

 

"I am Zero and you are?"

 

"I am Darvo, friend to the Tenno and merchant now what can I help you Zero?"  Darvo looked at him with surprise and some suspicion.  Zero simply removed the space suit since they were indoors now ripping it more than taking it off.

 

"You wouldn't happen to have combat-type clothing that I can use, nothing too bulky please." Zero spoke softly keeping a eye on Darvo he himself not too trusting of the man.  Darvo nodded and lead them towards a room where a piece of clothing was on display.  For a moment Zero assumed it'd look like another space suit.  What he saw amazed him, a simple Coat with a hood and vest with a white button up shirt, black dress pants that seemed more leaning into casual and combat shoes with simple designs and slightly high heels for male shoes.  The coat captivated Zero due to having a hood and what looked like a retractable face visor and mask.

 

"How much Darvo" Freya asked knowing she'd have to pay for Zero given he had just woken up from a long slumber, Darvo turned and proceeded to do what all Corpus do best.  Haggle, he shrugged.

 

"I..I don;t know Tenno it may be a bit out of your price range given it's a prototype I took out of Jupiter last time I uhh 'visited'.  Seems Alad was testing some new material they found and a new subject probably like that young man"  At those words Zero quickly lifted Darvo with his right hand lifting him into the air as his eyes focused into a deep blue and green almost growling he spoke.

 

"Where and who?! Answer!!"  Freya grabbed Zero and pulled him away.

 

"Sorry about that Darvo.  He's looking for someone and it seems that you may just know where that person is." Freya kept her hand on Zero's shoulder keeping a tight grip as Darvo coughed slightly not used to a human being able to lift him up like that.

 

"Well if you take it and him and get out now I'll tell you I'll even through in a few weapons of his choice.  All free, that man is as angry as a Grineer on a bad day." Darvo swiped a card raising the glass from the clothing as Zero went to put them on while Freya and Darvo spoke.

 

"Is he human?" Darvo whispered softly regaining some composure.

 

"I don't know really.  I mean he couldn't be if he took on Vor and lived.  Whatever he is I'm glad he's on our side." Freya sighed slightly worried he would bring them trouble. Zero came back moment later the clothing had fit him perfectly and it even allowed his clawed gauntlet to blend in.  the other hand was gloved to resemble it so that they would be indistinguishable.  Freya smiled looking at him seeing him looking more relaxed.

 

"Now this armor is a special thing, made to combat Tenno I mean assist them.  Active Camouflage, Heat and night visor, Sonar and wired communication all in the hood.  just press your left palm against a surface and vanish. Perfect for stealth missions.  Just know it is on a limit of time or it started weakening." Darvo continued to explain as Zero lifted the hood and turned on the visor and mask covering his face allowing him to seem almost like a normal Tenno with the coat closed.  Freya paid as he grabbed a Latron and Pyrana before heading back to her ship.

 

"Freya, lets make a visit to this 'Alad V' first before meeting up with everyone else" Zero asked as she prepared to take off in her personal ship having left the cargo ship as apology gift.  Freya nodded setting a course to the coordinates Darvo had given her.

 

"Do you think she'll be there Zero?"

 

"If not I'll beat it out of him"

 

Chapter 7

"Zero why did you not pick a Melee weapon? I noticed you picked a Latron and a Pyrana but no melee." Freya asked as they slipped into the rail that would send them into Jupiter's area as he sat down next to her pointing at his Clawed gauntlet.

 

"My 'partner' is pretty much the only weapon I would need but for now I will use them and if I like them I'll keep using them.  I can just rush in and get destroyed by some bullet hell.  That and I have this stick which I found amazingly powerful didn't get notched or sliced when I went toe to toe with that Vor character.  Besides that what do you use Freya?"  Zero looked at her as she smirked her Purple iris glowing almost with a devilish happiness before she brought out what looked like a Pipe gun with four barrels and a few wires.

 

"This is called Hek, named after a Grineer councilor who may have asked for it to be made in his honor, besides that I use a simple pistol we call Lex and these" She pulled out two almost glass-like daggers with a very organic handle.  "They are called Ether daggers, they seem to be made of a glass that reminds me of your Void Steel pretty durable and strong."  She smiled showing off her arsenal to a new friend as if gossiping about a new mission or having found a cache of credits.  He smiled warmly as she continued to explain each weapon and how she had made them her own and how he himself could too.  Zero simple shook his head.

 

"I can do it a bit easier that you actually.  I hope this works though."  Zero closed his eyes forcing the creature in his hand to awaken and placed it on his Larton, slowly the hunting rifle began to be consumed by the darkness of a pocket Void being opened allowing him to shape it to his desire.  What came back from it was a sleeker rifle it's barrel shorter slightly without the extra rounds being held on the side the Stock was made of what seemed to be Cheery Oak with the trigger and trigger gaurd almost in a petal shape a Eye insignia was on the side of the barrel with leaf etchings around it.  He proceeded with Pyrana making it fin like decorations slightly bigger and giving it a revolving chamber along with a small decorative bayonet as he finished.  Zero's 'third' eye closed signaling that it had used an imense amount of energy.

 

"How did you do that? I've never seen anyone be able to use the Void to manipulate material so easily. I kinda wanna learn how."  Zero held his normal hand up stopping her as he caught his breath, his face pale and covered in sweat.

 

"n...not...easy took....takes a lot out of you to do that, I'm amazed I managed to do them both so quickly.  do you have any food or some sort of nutrition supplement?"  As he Spoke Freya handed him a few bars of what he thought were chocolate biting into them and devouring them before coughing slightly looking at her as if she had poisoned him.

 

"They are pure Protien bars great for quickly regaining some stamina and energy when in the Liset, they taste horrible but they do their job quite well I got used to the taste after a ..ack never mind yet they still taste horrible but it's all we have at the moment.  Most Old Earth foods became useless or extremely rare that this stuff is the most common to get. sorry" Zero shrugged and ate two more coughing slightly and grabbing a glass of water she had provided him.  They both shared a laugh before a beep alerted them that they had arrived at Jupiter.  Quickly Freya scanned the area then turned back to him.

 

"We have trouble Zero."

 

Chapter 8

Zero looked at the screen then out the main window as he saw what looking like a ship being devoured by the inside as it had begun to crumple.  just then a message popped up a call from the Ember and Frost from earlier.

 

"Heyo, it me Ari and Yuki I noticed you guys were nearby and in course for that infested ship? want some help I can't wait to rip it apart and-"

 

"Excuse Ari, she's just very excited to do something since your friend took all the glory back on earth, you wouldn't mind us helping I hope Sir Zero."  Yuki the male seemed the more serious of the pair while Ari was like a child who had just gotten a big gift her smile was a wide toothed grin as she seemed to be squirming with excitement while Yuki reprimanded her gentle his calm demeanor probably what drew her to him.  She noded happily before grabbing her helmet as Freya gave them the green light and motioned for Zero to activate his mask.

 

"That ship is 'Infested', imagine getting a cold and then that eating you from the inside out.  that's kinda what must of happened to a crew member in the ship before spreading through out the ship.  the suit should have a air filter and run off a energy supply.  Hopefully we can get you a portable shield from the wreckage so it can add a extra layer besides that armor."  she noded grabbing her guns as Zero prepped himself activating the helmet giving him a now faceless look under the hood before it began to glow a slight Purple showing his face partially as he began the start up for all the functions.  one he noted was Arch-Wing Proto which he turned off not knowing what it mean.  moments later they dropped onto the outside of the hull cutting it with a plasma knife before entering their armors self-pressurizing making sure they stayed alive in the cold and harsh space.  the Ship sealed their entrance with a fleshy covering as they looked at Yuki and Ari with the latter just moving slightly in place.

 

"Alright you guys are here!! Now I can start the fun.  Stand back boys I'm about to give you a great show"  Her very bouncy and excited voice became seductive and slower as she created a ball of fire and tossed it towards what seemed to be a wall of flesh in an instant a shriek filled the area as Zero covered his ears at the pained and sorrowful sound of multiple voices.  with it came many barks and howl as well as bone scrapping metal as what looked like dogs came at them followed by very malformed figures.

 

"Chargers and runners careful everyone, especially you Zero we don't know what that suit can and can't take."  Freya took command as the now covered in flames Ari continued her dance around the creatures sending flaming kisses and using her flamethrower almost as one would lead their partner in a formal dance.  Yuki the more serious of the two cleaned up what she didn't get as Zero noticed many of the Infested creatures avoiding him and out right whimpering as he got closer.

 

"whoa how do you get them to fear you so easily?" Freya commented as the other two noticed.  Zero had stopped listening to the sounds as he and his nameless partner began to speak to each other.

 

"All this is a virus."

 

'Virus is food, stronger Virus better."

 

"You mean you can feed off this like you did those weird things back on earth?"

 

"Easyily, now feeding time?"

 

"No, it's Feast time!!" At that Zero slammed his now expanded Gauntlet claw into the ground as the dagger-like talons sank into the ground sending out Void Steel needles under each Charger and runner near-by impaling them and converting them into pure energy dropping some of the rounds they carried and any other belongings he couldn't convert as many of the systems in his new armor turned on and became fully functional.  He quickly turned on the Night-vision mode of his Visor as well as a tracking and mapping system to see where his allies were and any enemies that were around.  He seemed to have a shield reading now along with a damage and injury monitor he shrank to a corner so it wouldn't take too much of his peripheral vision.

 

"I think he just are them, he went nom nom Yuki.  Can I do that too" Ari seemed curious of Zero as Yuki shook his head.

 

"I've never seen anything like that, it's almost as if he commanded the Void to do his bidding.  It was truly a display of power Sir Zero"  Zero blushed at the compliment under his face mask and visor before pulling out his Pyrana and seeing an Ammunition count as well as a shot.  Though the ammunition count seemed higher than anything he thought he could carry he was amazed as Freya explained.

 

"On the back of your Coat you have a thing we call universal Munition ou Uni-Ammo  converts ammo into the one you need and is stored there by Pocket Void kinda like what you do but for bullets"  She motioned to the one on her back a green and red one "one for each weapon or the same one for certain types."  Zero nodded and took aim sending a volley of pellets into a group as they were shred apart rather violently by the impact as the group continued to clear the ship trying to find zone:zero of the infection.  Zero began to become accustomed to their team-work and movements helping Yuki and Ari when they were often surround or pushed down by the bigger more dangerous Infested.  Then they heard it a thundering of footsteps as the infeested parted, before them stood a massive beast it's glowing eyes and large hands bending the metal under it. 

 

"Hey Freya, is that what I think it is." Ari asked in a very serious tone losing her play nature for this moment.

 

"Y..Yeah a Juggernaut,  I didn't think this infestation was that bad, we might need reinforcements."  Freya spoke almost scared being her first time seeing the behemoth that stood almost three times as tall as them.  Before she could react she noticed Zero from behind the beast firing off rounds from his Void Latron getting it's attention.

 

"You guys get rid of the small fry I think this guy is the source of the Infestation.  Ari mind lending me a hand?"  He spoke almost filled of excitement that fueled the already excited Ari as she rushed towards him tearing apart the infested between them.

 

"What's your plan crazy hand man.  are we gonna blow it up? tear it apart?" She asked very happily that she was gonna take down a Juggernaut.

 

"I want you to cover me in fire and have Yuki throw me at him"  Zero said seriously as she looked at him shock covered by her mask before she nodded.

 

"Yuki be ready to play Ladder!!" Ari shouted as she began to cover Zero in her Fire, without them noticing Juggernaut threw a volatile bombardment of Vile as Zero and Ari split up. the ground where they had just stood turning into melted metal.

 

"I think it can hear our comm units.  This'll be tougher than I thought" Zero pondered before throwing himself forward blasting the behemoth on the side with a palm blast like he had with Vor, it pushed the beast slightly before it slammed it's shoulder into him tossing Zero back like a ragdoll causing him to crash into where Yuki was. 

 

"The beast is tough, maybe we might need to retreat Sir Zero.  It could be too dangerous."

 

"No Retreat shouldn't be our only choice.  How about this.   create a layer of Ice right around the beast Ari throw a fire ball at the layer of Ice and Freya I think you know your part in this I hope."  Zero spoke back calmly assessing any damge the group could have taken as they all still seemed able to go.  Following the Plan Yuki froze the moisture allowing a thick layer of ice to blanket their fighting area as Ari created a weak enough fire ball causing the ice to not melt but create a fog that was then thickened by Freya control of the atmosphere around them as they all moved in the fog like shadows Zero new that the monster was tough with a hide that didn't get dented or even bruised by his attack.  He noticed his arm glowing seeming filled with energy.  'Alright now or never I guess I can wake it up and use my full power.

 

"Wake up, Void Zero"  He called out to his arm raising it into the air having thought of the name on the spot.  The eye opened and let out a eerie howl as Zero felt the Interface on his HUD changed showing now speed of his target it's location and weak points almost as if Void had just scanned the beast.

 

"Alright each one focus a leg and once three are down I'll deliver a finishing blow just get away from Juggernaut the moment I give the cue"  Ari, Yuki and Freya all gave their ok as each one attacked a leg. Yuki freezing the left leg from a distance while taking shots with a sniper rifle causing the hide to crack and then shatter before he was able to pierce the bone with a shot.  Freya herself took the same side but from behind slicing at it with her daggers before blowing chunks of the hide off with her Hek.  without notice she was kicked and sent flying back into Ari who had just finished with the back right leg caught her before making sure they were out of range making sure Freya wasn't too hurt.  Yuki gave him a thumbs up through the remaining mist as Zero pulled his claw back causing the fog around him to disperse before Juggernaut took notice.  though it's legs badly damaged it still began to charge at him placing himself perfectly where Zero wanted.  Lifting his claw and swiping forward Zero had opened a Void tear above Juggernaut sending many needles and some spikes of Void Steel onto Juggernaut who began to get whittled and destroyed by the storm of metal that was assaulting it.  with a last and sorrow filled howl it  fell most of it armored hide destroyed or covered in Void steel spike falling just inches from Zero who's third eye closed and he fell to his knees panting slightly.

 

"Whew you just destroyed that thing in one awesome way,  I envy you and what ever your hand it"  Ari happily patted his back as Yuki helped him up.

 

"How are you doing Freya, not too hurt I hope." 

 

"I'm doing better than you, at least i won't be eating too many protein bars like you, man that was a devastating attack.  I take it you can use the Void when you arm is awake and manipulate your body energy when it isn't"  She smiled as they made their way to the extraction room that had been set up by the ships' AI.  As they arrive the two groups parted with Ari and Yuki both more at home with Zero and his strange abilities.  Upon entering the Liset both Zero and Freya sprawled on the now two beds in the only room in the cabin.

 

"Zero?"

 

"Hmmm?"

 

"I'm sleepy can we nap?"

 

"Lets, I am way too worn out.  Ordis Stealth mode"

 

"As you wish Sir"

 

Chapter 9

Zero stumbled out of the room seeing Freya looking out the window as a comet passed by them, he smiled remembering the nights he would look up from Earth and hope to reach the new colonies in space.  Now he was on a stealth ship and headed towards Jupiter to find hopefully some clues to where she was.  Freya smiled looking at him before going back to staring out the window.

 

"Do you think Solar Rails would be able to take us out there, outside our solar system?"  Freya asked still looking out the window as Zero sat down on a bench, he looked out the window thoughtfully as he shook his head.

 

"If I recall we couldn't really reach any of the outer planets due to not having a strong enough rail system.  Heck when i was put into cryo-sleep we had just begun to colonize Mars.  I feel so much has changed and I have to play catch up now.  Well at least I'm not being used as some experiment anymore.  So how far are we from the coordinates?"  Zero looked at her as she went to check the navigation computer.

 

"Not too far we can get ready now, I think it's one of the hidden Corpus labs so we won't be getting any back up if stuff goes south.  You sure you wanna do this?" Freya seemed nervous from going into a mission without any back up or Lotus guiding her.  Zero nodded as he put on his Coat and Boots.  he put on the visor and begun adjusting it to what Freya had told him would be the conditions for Jupiter.  Moments later Ordis cut the silence.

 

"We've arrived I'll be landing a bit away from the exact place so that you two can go in undetected.  if anything goes wrong come back there and I'll get us out of here."  Freya and Zero nodded before jumping out of the Liset and landing on a small platform.  At last Zero had seen what was once a dream to his people, a city and base on Jupiter the gas giant.   Freya motioned towards a vent letting them hide as a Corpus squad passed by them.   Zero noticed the weapons they carried seemed very odd.

 

"Corpus use energy weapons and robotics instead of ballistics and brute force, you could say they are the more advanced of our enemies."  Freya noted as they continued through the vents looking for a way into the base without causing too much of a ruckus.   Seconds later Zero heard a crack as he fell through and landed right in the middle of a patrol squad, they pointed the energy rifles right at him.   Freya dropped on them knocking them down before helping him up.

 

"If they don't sound the alarms we should be fine,  let's just get these guys hidden before another squad arrives."  Zero nodded helping her hide the Corpus crewmen while grabbing a code to get them in deeper towards the labs.

 

"Freya try getting to the control center I'll do the searching if anything happens I'll tell you." 

 

"Alright, just don't get into too much trouble I don't think you'd want to be dissected and used in their projects"  She said jokingly before bolting towards where the control center could be, Zero went the other way noticing a lot of cameras and robotic turrets.  Planting his left hand onto the wall to use the camouflage Darvo had spoke of allowing him to bypass the more heavily guarded areas.  Freya had kept herself in the vents and some of the darker halls before reaching the command center locking the doors behind her she took out the three Corpus Crewmen in there and starting the hacking allowing them to see what this lab was used for. 

 

"Zero, this more centered on robotics, I think the armor you have on was to allow a crewman to hunt Tenno along with harvesters.   Meaning if it had gone into full production many Tenno would be taken in and used in Alad V's horrid experiments."  Freya continued showing him through video feed all the new and dangerous robotics that were in testing and production here.  Zero looked at the ones closer to finishing testing and being ready to be released into the field.

 

"Freya, Send me the location of the Riot Moa, that one is almost done in testing.  If I can destroy that maybe I can throw a wrench in their plans.  You said they were merchants and loss of profits will cut them deeper than a loss of a few personnel"  Freya nodded sending the data before starting a virus hack that could help them in the long run.  Zero stopped short as he heard a conversation.

 

"Gentlemen how far along is the Riot MOA project?"

 

"Close Alad, the final tests are going along with flying colors.  Grineer troops that we have launched it on have not been able to combat it.  If we can begin mass production it will give us a major edge against the Tenno and the Grineer!!'  A few shouts of happiness were heard.

 

"And the implementation of the Auxiliatrix into the field tests?

 

"Perfect with conjunction of Riot MOA being able to protect her while she continues repairing it I would say they will make a deadly combination" 

 

"Good continue the test on captured Tenno"

 

"Of course Alad." At that Zero knew he had to move now or it would come out of a bad end.

 

"Stop right there intruder!!!"

 

Chapter 10

Zero raised his hands slightly before snapping his fingers creating needles behind his would be captors causing them to become unconscious.  Unfortunately Zero heard the alarm as the Riot MOA came rushing towards him, Zero know not to face something so big in the hall and let himself be lead into a open test area where Tenno who had been captured were waiting.  They seemed weakened almost depleted of energy as only a few raised their heads to see the newcomer.   Alad V who had been looking at what would be a most spectacular display grew amazed at seeing his Harvester armor on what looked like a Tenno.  What interested him even more was the arm this male had. A crackle came from the speakers.

 

"Welcome young man, if you can best our prototype I will let you and those Tenno go.  It may cut in my profits but I want to see what you can do."  Alad V spoke calmly knowing the man cold not possibly defeat the Riot MOA by himself due to having the other Tenno shackled and drained of energy.   Zero growled grabbing his stick before beating on the armor plating of the hulking mass of machine before it stood up revealing its real height and kicking him back.  Falling onto the ground coughing slight Zero realized brute force may not be the best thing.  Zero put the stick down deciding maybe to use palm blasts and maybe a single target version of his feasting frenzy.   Rushing forward Zero leaped up landing a palm blast right on the gun landing a strong enough hit to cause some damage that he noticed was almost instantly repaired by some energy as he was blasted back with air pressure.  Zero then heard missiles being launched knowing they were going to the Tenno.  Throwing his stick he caused the lock-on laser to aim at a wall as the missiles just barely missed the Tenno.

 

"Alright big guy, I'm you opponent.  If you can take me down I'm sure you can take them down.  Unless you're just an over sized toaster with legs!!"  Zero felt awkward taunting a machine but it had the intended effect.  A mechanical growl was heard as it rushed towards him in its bunker mode as Zero planted his claw into the shield stopping it if only a moment before being pushed back slowly as he planted his feet into the ground.  Growling loudly the pair slowly began to roar as they pushed the machine back, Zero felt the weight of the machine trying to push him back.

 

"Not gonna happen big guy.  you just fell for my trick, or should I say you just became my meal."  Zero flashed a smile as Void Zero began to convert the metal plating into energy causing the Riot MOA to pull away with only one of it's riot shields still intact. Zero's smile faded as he saw nano-machines beginning to replace and repair the broken arm. 

 

"I'm sorry but you can't do that." the Auxiliatrix spoke softly and calmly as she patted the Riot MOA's leg before letting it charge at Zero once more now with more speed.  Zero grabbed from a pocket void a glass-like blade and planted it before him creating a barrier of spike made of Void Steel causing the MOA to stop in its tracks or be impaled by them.  Instead of breaking the sword Zero pulled out a second one and threw himself into the shield this time impaling the sword creating spike over both as the riot shields were expelled Zero noticed the nano-machines could not repair what was contaminated by the Void Steel meaning the shields were done for.  While staying behind his barrier Zero heard a large thud and many of the spikes around him were destroyed sending him flying back into a wall as the MOA placed its foot right on him trying to crush him into the wall.  Howling in pain Zero continuously pummeled his fist into the mechanical foot trying not to be crushed to death as warnings flashed on his visor.  Placing both palm Zero created a bigger blast of energy pushing the MOA onto it back before it righted itself.  Zero could tell the Auxiliatrix was doing her job at making sure the machine was running at top power.

 

"Will you give up sir?  your death will go a lot less painful if you do"  She spoke again her voice slightly mechanical as he shook his head.

 

"Sorry ma'am but giving up means I die again and I'm not gonna die till I find 'her'.  Now let see how well you can repair that beast beauty"  Zero knelt down using a palm blast to rocket himself towards the hulking machine as he shouted.

 

"Time to wake up Void Zero!"  the golden eye flashed open as all warnings were replaced with the schematics of the Riot Moa and what Auxiliatrix could do.  Zero knew that while he fought his partner would take in the information of his enemies allowing him to get an upper hand.  landing right on top to the MOA Zero planted his feet before slamming his fist deep into the machine's head and beginning to drain the energy from the inside.  While it's partner began doing her best to repair the machine which in turn was giving Zero a energy boost as well as bringing him back to 100%.  With a Smirk he shouted.

 

"Is that all you can do, not like make it stronger or anything, kinda weak if you ask me!!" He smiled as she began to do her best to boost the machine allowing Zero to take part of it before being knocked off and seeing the riot shields now made of Void Steel.  if he was to finish it now would be his best option.  Time slowed down as he heard his partner's voice.

 

"Full and awake now.  Don't you think we should just destroy it before it destroys us?"

 

"I'm working on that, maybe we can destroy it now since she can't get it back to full power, it's stuck a 50%"

 

"Use Void Slash but fuel our Void Typhoon into it."

 

"I can do that?!?!"

 

"Only when I'm full"  Zero smiled focusing a blade of void energy as he could feel the light around him beginning to be drained of its energy and color.  The sword changed from a simple broadsword to almost a longer more elegant blade.   Removing the visor off Zero's eyes began to glow a bright gold as he rushed forward using the blade to slice into the MOA and plunge it right into the machine's head causing the pocket of Void energy to start from the inside and blast out ward destroying the machine as Zero landed on his back panting having use a lot of energy on the single strike.

 

"Hey miss you should run away before I get up and kill you."  Zero said as he saw the female running away.  all he heard from the speakers were clapping.

 

"Well well well, good job Human. or monster.  you destroyed my Riot MOA but don't worry this test was perfect to make it a deadly machine against Tenno.  Now if you excuse me I must called the board and tell them of your existence....wait why is everything offline!!"  Alad V had become agitated, not only was his Harvester Hunter suit used and perfectly compatible with a lowly human.  He had also managed to destroy a Riot MOA on his own.  If the Board found out he might lose more money on this.  If they knew he captured a Human capable of killing Tenno they would reward him and he could continue to improve Zanuka.

 

"Sorry Alad V but I gotta go. My ride is here!!"  Zero shouted as the Corpus male saw him and all the other Tenno Escape on one of his own Cargo ships before it took off.  He had just been fooled and his data destroyed by this male.

 

"Guess I owe you one Freya, had you not shown up as he was distracted I think i would of been a lab rat again."

 

"Don't mention it and I know where your friend is.  She was last seen on Phobos.  I think she's the reason many Grineer settlements have been destroyed and why Corpus seemed so eager to invade.   After we get these Tenno to Lotus I'll ask her to give us permission to go on a covert rescue mission and get her back.  You might get a rematch with Vor"

 

"Great. I can't wait to meet that guy and thank him for waking up my arm."

 

"Wait that thing is alive?!"

 

 

 

 

Chapter 11

"As it stands Zero it'd take us a day or two if we wait here for the Solar Rails to align allowing us access to Phobos or take a slight longer route but get there faster by simply going from here to Venus, then Earth, Mars and finally Phobos.  I know it sounds long but those are aligned already and allows for easier access."  Freya was motioning over the Controls as Zero rubbed his chin thinking.  He knew it would be faster the chance of getting caught in the other planets while waiting for a realignment should the rails become disconnected was an issue.  He looked at the map once more.

 

"Why not cut through the dark sectors. If I recall those would be aligned perfectly for a slingshot jump allowing us to quickly reach Phobos."

 

"Are you insane!?  Dark Sectors are crawling with Old War derelicts T-Cyte hives and possibly space pirates.  It's the fastest route but also the most dangerous, Ordis and Liset aren't Combat Pods it's a Stealth Ship."  Freya seemed annoyed at the thought of going through such a area that could spell doom for them.  Zero shook his head almost angrily, his target seemed within his grasp yet so far.

 

"Sir, Ma'am if Ordis can interject?"

 

"Speak, what is it Cephlapon?"

 

"Why not use the void?  If Sir is so skilled could he not creat a Void Link from himself to were this other female is?" Zero hadn't thought of it, if he could summon and create constructs using the Void surely he could transport himself through it.  He sat down and focused trying to create a rip in the Void before the Liset, the more he focused a clear image formed in his head.  He saw her with a cloak in a sandstorm.  Zero could almost reach out and touch her feeling the coarse sand blowing against him as he reached out. 

 

"Zero!!"  Freya shouted as Zero seemed to disappear leaving a few piece of dust as she noticed he had transported himself into Phobos.

 

"Does that mean we're done with him?"  Ordis asked waiting for a reply.

 

"Ordis force a Rail connection, we're going to Phobos to meet up with him."

 

"Yes Ma'am"

 

"Hey....long time no see." Zero smiled under his visor and mask allowing no sand to blind him as he had become used to wearing his Harvester Armor on a regular basis.   The female turned and attacked her fists as fast as his own,  Zero did his best to block her attacks.

 

"Woah, Woah it's me Zero.  Geez I know we got off on a wrong foot when we met but are you still angry at me?"  He asked Jokingly expecting no reply.

 

"Jerk, Do you know how long I've been on the god forsaken rock!!!  6 months!!! Months!! and you just waltz in out of I have no clue where and say 'Hey'  I outta end you!!"  She screamed continuing her flurry of fists before landing a palm blast on his chest pushing him back a few feet.

 

"I'm hungry, thirsty and want new clothes.....this place is bloody hell"  in her anger she had begun to let her accent slip.  Zero smiled nd handed her three bars and a canteen he somehow had on his person. 

 

"Take it easy Ren, we'll be fine I have a few friends who'll help us."

 

"What is this crud, it taste like bloomin' dirt!!"  Ren barked at Zero as he sat next to her putting an arm over her shoulder.

 

"You get used to the flavor, or so I'm told.  It'll help you regain your strength.  Now just relax and wait I'm sure they'll be here in a bit."  Zero and Ren stayed quiet as he studied him.  The armor was nothing new to her given she had seen it back when she was being used to test Harvester armors, the one he wore was most likely the finished product.

 

"I'm not going back.....that place was horrible..." She muttered while Zero looked at the sky.

 

"The Tenno aren't too bad, they seem to be nice guys.  Granted this suit I just 'borrowed from a Corpus"  Ren looked at Zero as she knew he was telling the truth.  Even if they had been strangers before their exposure to the Void when they were reborn Ren felt a connection to him.  As such while the first few days afterwards before his claw appeared they trained and learned what they could do.  Ren envied that Zero was the one with the dominant Void entity while hers remained passive.

 

"You know it sucks having this thing.  I mean it's nice and powerful but the burnt scar tissue isn't worth it."

 

"You were looking into my head?"

 

"I could see it in your face, I know you that well."  He smiled taking off the visor but keeping on his mask allowing him to breathe without trouble as he could tell she was wearing a cloth over her nose and mouth.

 

"I also got you the F. Variant just incase you'd wanna wear it.  they feel perfect for us."

 

"I...I'll think about it.  Did you see any other things in there?"

 

"Besides this and a Riot MOA, nothing really."   They continued to talk about what they had been as Zero realized he had been searching for her for almost 3 months now.  Looking up to the sky he wondered where Freya was and what she might be doing.

 

"Hey you were supposed to get the ship through the portal, not just you Zero" A familiar voice called him out from behind.

 

"I knew you'd get here soon enough."

 

"Jerk"
