I Want A Lighsaber

I want to have a Lightsaber in Warframe… but that does not “fit Warframe’s theme.” So… I shall come up with a excuse reason to get a Lightsaber.

Come all you little Tennos, and here a story of honor, bravery, and sacrifice.

In a distant part of the system, the Corpus Board was holding an in person meeting to discuss matters of the upmost importance, such as Alad V’s shenanigans and the rumored return of the Formians. To maintain a secret status of the event, it was held on a small ship and no protection was brought, their goal was to stay under the radar of the Grineer.

Unfortunately, the Grineer caught word and sent a Galleon to destroy and kill the entire Corpus Board. On the Galleon’s journey, it spotted a small Corpus ship. Suspecting riches aboard the ship, the Grineer decided to critically damage, board, and loot the entire ship. As soon as the first shot was fired by the Galleon, all of the Crewman abandoned ship, leaving the Prodman aboard because the Crewman outranked them and did not like them. To add insult to injury, the Crewman took the Prodmen’s Provas, to sell them at a later date. The Creman even brought all of their MOA’s, as losing them would be losing profit.

Thus, the Prodmen were left alone on the vessel, only numbering seven, awaiting their death by the Grineer. The Prodman hid inside lockers, hearing the Grineer soldiers speak of their plans to kill the Corpus Board. The Prodmen new that they had to do something, but were too frightened.

Then, the Prodmen remembered a bedtime story once told to them, a story about a brave Prodmen who singly handedly took down Phorid. This gave them the inspiration to attempt to hold off the Grineer, no matter how futile it was. They needed a weapon, so the Prodmen went out and found a crate of lasers used in construction. The problem was that the Prodmen were not taught ranged warfare, so hope was lost to them. Fate had a different plan, a window shattered near the Prodmen, leaving glass shards everywhere. One curious Prodman wanted to see what would happen if one of the cutting lasers was pointed through the glass… to the Prodman’s amazement and delight, the glass seemed to create a definite range to the laser, creating a three foot beam of light. The Prodmen then went and recreated the process, making seven swords of light.

By this time, over two hundred Grineer were aboard the ship, and the Prodmen were going to attempt to slaughter them all. Over the course of the battle, the Prodmen learned the skill of blocking bullets and parrying. There was nothing that could stop them.

Once the ship was cleared of Grineer life, the Prodmen had to make a decision. They could either abandon ship, or attempt to save the Corpus Board. They saw it as there was no choice what to do. The ship they were on was badly damaged and not equipped for battle, they did the only thing they thought they could. The Prodmen brought the ship to full speed, with an aim set for the Grineer Galleon.

The Prodmen were successful in stopping the Galleon from reaching the Corpus Board meeting, but at the cost of their lives.

After the Corpus Board meeting had finished, the news came about the Grineer Galleon and all of the circumstances around it. Upon reviewing the security camera footage from the Corpus ship, they decided that those Prodmen should be honored and remembered in some way. A new class was created, only the most skillful and honorable Corpus could assume its position. This new class was given a sword of light, using the same technology the Prodmen came up with. They were trained in the art of deflecting bullets with this sword of light, they would always being in groups of seven, and they were then given the honorable role of being the guardians of any Corpus official.

So…

There you go, a new Corpus Sword of Light and enemy.

(This is mostly a joke, but a Lightsaber-ish weapon would be cool. Maybe primarily slash with innate heat damage?)

At least in Warframe, a lightsaber would be allowed to slice people into bits, unlike every other Starwars game ever, where you simply beat people up with your lightclub.

SWTFU2 had a few gibs in it, but mostly situational. Bring on the Light Sabre gore DE!
