Buff Serro Speed

Was 60 in U11. Then after U13 it was nerfed to 30 for seemingly no reason.

Gotcha, was going from comments on wiki...

Yeah GU13 (Melee 2.0) nerfed melee attack speed number stats on quite a few weapons (Obex speed Nerf and heavily reduced wall attack....not to mention no longer easily killing Osprey on slam attack)

The reason they nerfed fury was cause they buffed the attack speed of all melee weapons that were in the game at the time. Why they made that change tho i dont remeber but i do know there was a reason behind it.

Attack speed gap from Obex and Kogake was more than .1 pre Melee 2.0.

Didn't Obex go from 1.7 to 1.0 with Melee 2.0?

Serro is arguably the best Corpus melee weapon, just needs a slight speed boost.

Lecta is over shadowed by Scoliac and Atterax.

Obex and Prova play second fiddle, in their respective classes. (Prova Vandal being better but event limited reward.)

Uh, listed melee attack speed doesn't really correspond to its actual DPS.  A complaint about a discrete number that does not directly represent what you're arguing for isn't a sound complaint.

All melee speeds could be defaulted to 1 for attack speed, for ease of speed calculations...

But only in game experience lets you know that 1.0 attack speed on Scindo or Jat Kittag is not the same as 1.0 Attack speed on Pointed Wins daggers or Kogake/Obex.

Heck quick melee or Grim Fury on sparring is super fast in comparison to Brutal tide attack speed combo animations.

Looking at Syndicate Mods for Energy Lab and that the Mods seem to boost a stat deficiency:

Supra: Status boost (although it is not properly adding 20 to base for additional mods to recognize new base status)

Spectra- 15meter range now extended to 35meters

Would like to see:

Serro- attack speed boost 15% per rank for a max of 60% attack speed

(Supra mod adds more Status than any mod single mod adds, Spectra mod adds more Range than Ruinous Extension can provide(only +8meters so only increases Spectra to 23meters and other beam weapons to 33meters; Embolist gets largest benefit from Ruinous Extension going from 6m to 14m. - With Fury capped at 30% boost a 60% speed boost would be amazing.)

I think a speed boost would be better than a Critical boost as I don't see them buffing the 5% to anything decent and the crit damage multiplier is 1.5x, so just raw attack speed with syndicate Radiation proc would be splendid.

Also unnerf Sparring weapon attack speeds

Or un-nerf Fury and take it back to 90(Even if it means adding Ranks to the card I'll take it....I just don't want a Primed Fury appearing....)

probably cause a default 1.7 attack speed with berserker and a 60% fury would make it's rof ~4.25....and considering how sparring weapons have multiple strikes per "hit"....

I just Wish they make Spoil Strike Penalty -5% or -10% cuz when fury was 60% it made more sense then now!

 

Now Fury is 30% and Spoiled strike is -20% how nice 10% attack speed!

 

For the sake of consistency, this needs to happen.

Primed Fury can sound "okay" but is another grind/time sink although it would add the ability to make minute adjustments depending on melee play style.

-Though you would need multiple mods at different ranks to adjust combo speed with any new weapons or Stances

Melee 1.0 had Obex at 1.7 attack speed with capable of being maxed to 60% bonus.

Punches were the two-hit quick-melee back then.

Melee 2.0 came and lowered Obex to 1.0 and Fury capped at 30%.

Plus the very situational Wall-attack was nerfed along with the ability to easily kill Osprey with an Obex Jump Slam. (Seems like hitbox got tweaked when Obex Jump slam was changed to match other jump-slam animations)
