Best Frame Overall: Frost [Here Is Why]

First things first, you are probably mad, so to clarify this is why I, believe Frost prime overall is the best frame in the game. There may be better frames for specific instances, but overall I believe Frost to be the best. 

 

Team Player:

Frost is naturally a team friendly warframe. His frost shield makes him a vital part of any defensive team. No other frame has the shielding capabilities as Frost. His shield protects from all sides and slows enemies within allowing an entire team and an objective to be safe despite fire from all sides. This shield allows him to capture targets, revive down teammates, and defend any objective. No other warframe can shield as many teammates as effectively and at such a small energy cost than Frost. 

 

Boss Killer:

Between Icewave impedance and snowglobe there is now boss that Frost can't bring to their knees. ODA is turned into a cakewalk by a proper Frost.

 

Durability:

Frost is a durable warframe, not more than Rhino of course, but he is on the high end of tough warframes.

 

High Damage:

Frost can be highly aggressive. Avalanche and Icewave have incredible power especially when modded correctly. During the last event I was capable of going through the escalation and outperforming our Excalibur with my Frost.

 

Excavation, Interception:

Frost is one of the best frames for these missions.

 

Defense God:

You can't go far without a Frost in a defense mission.

 

Solo Capabilities:

Frost is excellent for solo missions. His high durability and damage makes him excellent for running alone. Again there are better ones but he is still excellent for solo missions.

 

His Weakness:

Frost is slow, simple as that. He ties with Rhino for slowest frame in the game, however those of us who know how to run overcome this obstacle.

 

Obvious Advantages:

Damage buffs are vital for higher level missions and this is one of the places where Frost is inferior. Even though his first abilities agument makes the Sydnoid Gamma core a lot more powerful, Volt can also accomplish this.

 

However here are a few frames capable of giving a team at least a 2X damage bonus:

Mirage, Rhino, Nova, Vauban

 

Here are the Frames that protect a team as well as Frost:

He is a great frame though.  

 

Especially now the globes absorb recast as opposed to stack.

No single frame is amazing. Frost is FAR from the the BEST frame, but he is a good one. Limbo is much better at defending and soloing that Frost.

 

Mesa has a much stronger ult that can easily target many more enemies.

Frosts damage is actually LOWER than most ultimates.

Frost is one of the best Crowd-Control frames yes, but no-where near the best overall frame. That title is kept by.... none of the frames.

But hes FAR from the best frame in the game, rather hes possibly one of the worst if anything.

i'll give you the slowing for inside the Snowglobe, but Snowglobe is far from 'the best' option for defending a static object.

and Frost is not 'good' for Damage. it's not his thing. it's not what he brings to the table at large anyways, so it's not a problem.

but far from 'best overall'. because there are only a select few (if any) Warframes that bring some of all of the things you need in every situation to the table.

Elec Shield isn't as efficient in Energy per square meter, but the Shield is indestructible.

I've been using Frost Prime for everything since I farmed his components, and built him back in 2013.

He's not tied with Rhino for slowest frame. Rhino P is faster then both Frost Variates, and Rhino has the Vanguard Helm, Rhino P + Van Helm = speed of Loki. So really Rhino P (With Helm) is tied to be the fastest frame in the game (next to loki)

Team Player:

You forgot Vauban? and Limbo? It still take a 'team player' to actually play any frame into a team player.

 

Boss Killer:

Any frame can be a Boss killer with proper player.

 

Durability:

Any frame can be durable if you copter fast enough and dodge everything while still making the kill. or perform other duty you're assigned to in a team.

 

High Damage:

That Excalibur must have been bad to have a frost out performance him on damage... Saryn when modded correctly still holds more burst[not fire+ice burst!! Burst like BOOM THINGS DIE] dmg and CC stun enemies in the same time.

 

Excavation, Interception:

Put Vauban or Limbo to the team too. Totally beat that interception 100+ tactical alert without breaking a sweat without frost.

 

Defense God:

Ok we're talking about DEF mission 'ight? Totally just went so far without frost. Good team with Loki and Vauban fix that, Limbo fix that. Other CC, like Nyx, Nova can also fix that.

 

Solo Capabilities:

Anyframe can be great doing Solo, with proper player....

 

His Weakness:

Ever see Frost copter?

I don't see how this has anything with Frost is the best... Some frame got even more burst damage when messing 4 as well, like Saryn.

Limbo, Vauban, better team who can actually look over their own butt with other frames, any frame really.

 

I think any frame can be best frame to people who likes the frame and has enough skill to pull the true potential out of it. There's no best frame, sorry to bust it, pal. Making a tread about what you think is 'great' base on your experience is great, but doesn't mean it's a fact.

I'd take volt tbh. Indestructible shield as well as a damage buff all in one <3

He's still good for defence, but that's about it.  For excavations Nyx is much better and can handle it solo, while Frost has to babysit the globe or it gets killed.
