Big Rooms, Big Fps Drop

Since U16, I've been noticing certain large rooms on the jupiter cloud and phobos desert tilesets causing framerate drop when loading--the cloud rooms particularly have rooms causing multi-second pauses in gameplay while they load when a door opens or what appears to be a wave spawning.

This happens most in non-endless rooms--ones that can be found in extermination or the like.

Things these rooms have in common:

•View of the sky box.

•"Limitless" ceiling.

•2 or more "blind corners"(corners around which you cannot see when standing in any one part of the room).

•Spread spawn points(when enemies spawn in the room, multiple individuals are spread across it, rather than spawning in large clusters).

•2 or more sections of targeting limit(that is, the room has multiple locations that can be stood in without their 50m targeting radius overlapping).

•3D space--the rooms always feature multi-level areas... even if connected by staircases, there are distinctly different elevations for play that vary in height by at least one wall run worth of distance.

•"Cloud effects"... either clouds moving in the background(on jupiter) or dust clouds(on phobos). I'm not sure how relevant this is(particularly since I believe they use different functions entirely), but it's worth including.

It's not particularly common, but when it happens, the game bottoms out FPS, and checking usage stats while the game is hanging like that has shown RAM usage over 1,400mb. (The game typically runs somewhere between 300 and 900 for me). This seems to happen most when host, but *may* happen as client(there are times it seems like it might have, but it's difficult to tell lag from host FPS loss).

Had one in the shipyard... the tile with the sewer with the steam.

I think it may relate to having the synthesis scanner equipped.

EDIT: Oddly, this time, my RAM usage was normal(800mb), but my FPS still managed a blazing 1.75

Reporting massive FPS drops and game freezes on Jupiter Gas cloud tileset too, especially with the high room with large pillars.

Longest freezing of the game I have experienced has been around 4 minutes. And Windows asks "Program is not responding, do you want to close it?". If I wait I do eventually recover. Fortunately game events (enemy movement etc.) stop updating too during the freeze, or a lot of revives would be lost.

(I usually play Jupiter Gas tileset with Loki and Master Thief, solo because most other players have no patience for my exploration antics.)
