[Warframe Concept] Brokkr: The Melee Warframe

Dwarven Warframe

 

Concept of this Warframe is a small yet tough heavy melee play style with integrated Norse Mythology behind the design and abilities.

Name:

 

Brokkr – His name Brokkr, means "the one who works with metal fragments" or "blacksmith" Brokkr is a dwarf, and an incredible good craftsman. Brokkr has a brother by the name Eitri.

The two brothers Brokkr and Eitri crafted Gungnir, Draupnir and Mjölnir.

 

Other Possible Warframe names:

 

Alviss – Alviss "All Wise" he is a dwarf, and a master smith. He is famous for his wisdom. Thor's daughter Trud as was promised to Alviss, but Thor did not want Alviss to be married with his daughter. So he made a plan to stop Alviss from doing so. Thor told Alviss that because he was so little he had to prove that he was wise, Alviss agreed. Thor made so many tests, that they lasted to the sun had risen. And because Alviss is a dwarf, he was petrified when he was exposed to the sunlight, Trud remains unmarried.

 

Austri – Austri “East” is one of the four dwarfs named after the cardinal compass directions. The others are Vestri "West", Nordi "North", and Sudri "South". Austri and the three other dwarfs was sent out into each corner of the world, to hold up the four corners of the sky.

 

Stats:

 

“Warframes Name” would be the smallest Warframe, with fine armour (like prime but silver maybe due to a large amount of a rare resource used in crafting him e.g. Morphics, or Gallium)

 

Health: 150 (450.0 at rank 30)

Shield: 50 (150.0 at rank 30)

Power: 100 (150 at rank 30)

Armor: 500

Speed: 1

Stamina: 200

Polarities: 2 x Vazarin  - D - ideal for health and armour mod

Aura Polarities: Madurai - V - ideal for melee damage aura

 

Passive abilities (Possibly if DE likes):

 

Heavy melee – this Frame receives an attack speed bonus with Axe and Hammer (Galatine, Gram, Scindo, Jat Kittag, Fragor, Magistar) melee weapons.

 

Power Abilities:

 

1 - Dainsleif

 

Once cast, you will be forced to use your melee until you have killed an enemy or inflicted damage to a boss (or alternatively you summon a special melee sword called Dainsleif which you will be forced to use as mentioned before). Whilst active you will deal an extra (you will Deal) 400 / 500 / 600 / 700 Slash damage with your melee weapon. Unlimited duration, Getting 1 melee kill or inflicted damage to a boss ends this power.

 

Or alternatively you summon a special melee sword called Dainsleif which you will be forced to use as mentioned above.

 

2 – Anvil strike

 

“Warframes Name” summons his master blacksmiths hammer above his head and then slams is down on an anvil (also summoned) causing a blinding flash in a AoE releasing an intense flash of light that affects all enemies within 8 / 12 / 15 / 25 meters and blinds them for 5 / 8 / 10 / 13 seconds and has a initial. It also causes a small knockdown AoE of 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 meters leaving them open to finisher attacks.

Gleipnir

 

“Warframes Name” unleashes Gleipnir causing all enemies within 8 / 12 / 15 / 25 meters to be bound, causing them to struggle to break free for 7 / 10 / 12 / 15 seconds.

 

"Gleipnir is the leash that the dwarfs made to bind the Fenris wolf"

The leash is as light as a silk ribbon, but stronger than an iron chain. The leash is made of six ingredients:

 

The sound of a cat’s walk

The beard of a woman

The roots of a mountain

The sinews of a bear

The breath of a fish

The spittle of a bird

 

3 – Life Steal

 

“Warframes Name”  lets out an enlightening blast of energy, Adding life steal to the melee damage of his allies within 15 / 20 / 22 / 25 meters. Affected allies will gain 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% Life steal to all melee damage sources over a duration of 7 / 10 / 12 / 15 seconds.

 

4 – Ancestors Wrath

 

“Warframes Name” rallies the spirits of his ancestors that have fallen in battle to fight at his side in a 15x15 / 20x20 / 22x22 / 25x25 meter box (centre of box is where ability was cast and box does not move). Ancestors start from behind where cursor was pointed and charge forward in a constant stream of new ancestors at a rate of 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 ancestors per second,   disappearing on contact with an enemy and dealing 250 / 300 / 350 / 400 damage. The power lasts for 5 / 6 / 8 / 10 seconds.

 

Ancestors will no change direction once cast.

Design ideas:

 

Helmet design style – Warframe helmet would incorporate a Beard design like in picture.

 

Fine armour (like prime but silver maybe due to a large amount of a rare resource used in crafting him e.g. Morphics, or Gallium)

Constructive criticism is welcome, I understand this concept would most likely not be a perfect balanced as mentioned above and may not be viable to use some ideas (especially power 4, thinking for Frame rate)

Says the guy with the Chroma avatar. What, so dwarves are verboten but dragons are A-OK?

 

I actually like this frame and think that as it's described it fits the theme of the game far more than many other popular fan concepts.

 

EDIT: Also, OP, you might want to fix your formatting. It doesn't work well with the alternate forum palette.
