Game Crashes Nvidia Display Driver (April 2015)

I'm running the latest beta drivers from nvidia, on windows 8 with a gtx 780.

I've tried un ticking multi-threaded rendering with no luck. It seems to happen on void missions and survival ones on saturn. I'm at a loss of what to do. anyone?

I've checked my temps and utilization, everything seems normal. Gameplay is smoothe with no fps drops, until that crash of course.

Today I managed to play for a bit longer, instead of the display driver crash i get war-218642

Edit: Fixed by setting both .exe processes to windows 7 compatibility mode. I am on windows 8.1. maybe something in windows 8/8.1 os is conflicting?

I constantly have this issue. My drivers occasionally crash not playing Warframe, but its pretty rare. However with Warframe it happens all the time with every driver version I've had. The real annoying part is that Warframe is the only game that crashes with the drivers. Even the supremely S#&$tily made Battlefield 4 manages to recover from a driver crash.

I have the beta drivers installed and can play multiple 35-40 minute survival missions back to back.

It's apparently not a problem with the beta driver, just Steam + Warframe.

I stopped using Steam + Warframe and everything is perfectly fine, though you probably need Steam for something if you're asking here.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling on Steam or checking file integrity or what ever it's called?

If your card is crashing often, please disable the PhysX Effects. They don't always handle driver reset very well.

That is, of course, if you have a NVidia card.

Also, if your card is crashing often, it is better to use DirectX11, if you can, of course.

I have Nvidia card, Phys X disabled, using DX11 and latest stable drivers (not beta) and I still crash on a regular basis.

Lol, just validated my steam files, 114 needed fixes.....4.2Gb!! I think I've gone down this road before, nothing changes. I think I may delete from steam and use 'vanilla' client

Isn't that basically all of the Warframe data? XD

Dx9 and Dx11 handle driver crash in a different way. With DirctX9, the game has to take necessary actions in case of a Graphic Card crash and with DirectX11, DirectX (not the game) is taking the necessary actions in case of a Graphic Card crash.

It's different and it's really possible than one method work better than the other in your specific case.

In my discussions with support (thank you DE_Wes!) after submitting crash details and testing a few things I was directed to the 332.21 drivers. They've been perfectly stable ever since with Warframe.

It's not ideal but until whatever issues these are get fixed at least it's an option.

I found a confirmed solution for myself. Turns out that steam beta client was bugging my game out. Opted out and the crashes stopped. Unfortunately the steam overlay stopped working when i reverted.

I appreciate the reply from staff.

Ok, STILL happening. I deleted from steam and ran from normal client. Same problem.

Please fix this.

That's me done playing for now. Really no point in farming for rare mods when it is more than likely I will crash and lose it. Just lost Natural Talent. Glad it wasn't Tranquil Cleave.

Anyway, guess I'll try again on next hot fix.

i have same problems, i have try the 332.21 too and i runs better then the newer ones. I dont know why.

From time to time the client (or driver) crashes in odd, it happens often.

But the 332.21 looks like the best at the moment, the newer drivers makes more problems and crashes.

it sounds a lot like the issues I have as well, however I only chrash after 20~ish minutes in a mission.
but no matter what mission I play I get game-freezes several times per mission often causing the hosting to migrate.

I'm running on XP Pro with GeForce 560.

gonna try downgrading drivers.

it goes apphang. not crash for me, it doesnt go thru that rvolution enging handler.

my temp was 65 degress last logged on full load.

these crashes were hapenning before on earth and normal survivals & voids,

it stopped crashing with an update from u12

i think for my case, i just hope that they patch and stabilize ceres, its the only place im crashing
