Updated Forma'd Seer crit test for larger damage disparity

Seer Pistol has nil crit chance or crit damage multiplier....But it can Crit through Mutalist Quanta Orb/Bubble

Nukor unfortunately counts Mutalist Orbs as a wall so shots explode rather than get crit enhancement thru bubble.

I'm currently building up the AkSomati for a unique Crit build as Mutalist Orbs take care of Crit chance.

(Brakk with Mutalist Orbs negates fall off and gets big crit boost...just silly damage)

Need to get my brother to assist with Crit Soma build (see if there are Red Crits)

-Also eager to see if Drakgoon/Tiberon/Miter & Pantera gain crits

Very unconventional, but has a team utility aspect...

How are players supposed to know what the Orbs actually add to weapons fired through when it is allowing a weapon incapable of crits to crit?!?

Before Damage 2.0 yellow numbers just meant "modified" damage. Sometimes the game still reverts to that. You can also sometimes see this with melee weapons that will do parry->counter attacks for yellow numbers over and over, even though they're not rolling crits on every hit.

 

That's probably all this is.

 

As a simple test, fire through the orb with no mods on Seer, or at least an empty slot. Record the damage. Add Target Cracker for crit damage and repeat the test. If it's getting crits the number will go up. If it's not, the number will remain the same.

Then follow up test video adding Target Cracker (1 from the top so 50%)

No crit damage number was 636 in both videos

Without Target Cracker: Crits on Phorid were 795 (Then after reload and new bubbles non-crits were 715 and crits were 895)

With Target Cracker at 50% (1 from the top):

Non crits were 636 and crits were 1194

So the Seer is definitely registering as crits through the mutalist Quanta orbs.

So what exactly do the Orbs do to passing shots.

- Orbs are not maintaining 4.2x (5.2x?) multiplier from Vital Sense and Hammershot, with other weapons being fired through orbs

795 ia about a 1.25 multiplier from 636

1194 is about a 1.87 multiplier from 636

-which is almost the 1.88multiplier I am seeing From Detron through the orb

Detron has a base 1.5multiplier

503 to 2765 is a 5.49 multiplier overall

Both numbers are headshots, but one has the headshot crit multiplier.

5.49 / 2 (Headshot crit multiplier) = 2.745

2.745 / 1.2 (120% crit multiplier mods from 60% TC and 60% HP) leaves 2.2875 or 2.3 base crit multiplier.

However, with Zero mods on Seer non-crit is: 7 and crits are 25.

About a 3.6 (3.57)total multiplier on headshot

3.6 / 2 (Headshot crit multiplier) leaves 1.8 as base crit multiplier. [3.57/2=1.785]

I'm not sure how mich of the crit multiplier damage is enhanced by Mutalist Quanta Orbs, but I think the crit-less weapon have an undisclosed base crit multiplier between 1.5 and 2.5.
