Excavation Missions Bugged

Ok I've been running excavation missions recently to get void keys and exp for lower level weapons and have encountered some weird bugs, now these bugs didn't exist before the False Profit patch

(As of now I haven't tested any other excavation missions so I can't say if its only cambria)

 

#1 The game tends to freeze for a few seconds frequently when I'm running these missions

 

#2 For some weird reason the excavators become invincible, I have done extensive testing and found that the grineer will attack the excavator and will NEVER succeed in destroying it

 

UPDATE: I am fairly certain this is not specific to me, A friend is having the exact same issue as me

 

Also the excavators seem to stop being invincible briefly, for a few seconds they can take damage, but then they go back to being invincible, also important note, when they are invincible I cannot hover over them to view their health or shields nor do they have collision, it's like they aren't there

You've verfied integrity with Steam, haven't you? Don't do that. Ever. Now the launcher will have to redownload the entire year worth of updates.

However, if you did that with the actual launcher, then you'll be just fine... But 6 Gb? That's a lot.

XD I used steam so I guess I am redownloading the entire years worth of updates due to my habit of using that feature to fix other games, oh well now I know

 

Anyway I have a suspicion that the new False Profit Event broke it for some reason so maybe reinstalling that update would fix it? Not sure I'll get back to this thread when I'm done reinstalling the updates

It would appear (to me) that the excavators are only invincible when they've got power. When the flow of power carriers stop (which happens quite often in my games) and the power of the excavators stop, they start taking normal damage again.

Yeah I did some further testing and found this is the case, as long as they have power they are invulnerable and don't have collision

This is still the case for excavation missions on all planet nodes that are excav.

 

I was going to start a thread but thought id latch onto this one.

 

Seems enemies shoot beneath the excavation pod itself and do not cause it damage.

Kubrow charges and thrown grenades can still damage it though.

 

Its in easy mode though at the moment, and I hope this is rectified soon.

I have the same problem. When I play online Warframe freezes after I joined the session and then I get hostmigration. When I play solo the game just freezes all 2-3 seconds. This is only happening on excavation missions. Please fix this DE I want to farm neurodes ._.

 

Edit: Maybe it's another AMD based bug because friends of me with NVIDIA GPU and Intel CPU don't have this issue.

Edit2: This bug is happening for me in every mission but only on earth. Other planets I tested worked fine without any problems.

Happened to me in Jupiter Excavation.

Anti Moa projectile just bounced off.

 

Extractor could only damaged by :

1. Grenades (Thrown by Crewman) damaged the shield but could not confirm if it will damaged Extractor's health.

2. If the Extractor ran out of power for awhile it starts to take health damage but it's still immune to damage cause by mobs, shield intact.  

 

Gradual health damage after it ran out of power was implemented by DE to prevent E-Gating me think.

Still not fixed for me I have done extensive testing, and tried reinstalling no such luck I have no idea what could be causing this bug, it's something that would definetly need a hotfix

I see I'm late to the party. Thought it was just a visual thing, but apparently not.

Still, I'll contribute what I've seen:

Even with power, excavators take damage from AoE.

With my reticule over one, I don't get a HP/shield bar indicator.

I can confirm that the excavators still seem to be invulnerable on Neptune at least. Sent a request to DE_GingaNinja to check the excavations if possible. If this is intended, I guess that is one thing; but it seems like a glitch to me.

Can confirm an issue with excavators not being able to be damaged. It seems they might be able to be damaged when they run out of juice. I considered the possibility that this an intentional unlisted change, but it just seems weird that enemies would still target an invincible extractor...

In most gameplays, the mobs are seem to be respawned in only a particular area and stuck at some doors. The S#&$s happen in both Grinneer and Corpus tile sets. It really does great influence on normal runs and hoped to be fixed soon.

  I can confirm, the excavators only take damage when they run out of power. I've done several as the host, somebody else hosting, only 2 people, 4 people and solo. In all of those runs the excavators would NOT take damage unless they'd run out of juice. No idea if this is a bug or not.

 

  I also encountered a bug where the enemies would only spawn in an area of the map once.
