Bulletproof Infested Poison Clouds

So I was playing a Hive mission, and along the way I notice that for some reason I cant shoot the infested that are either inside or on the other side of a gassy poison cloud.

Not to be confused with the magnetic cloud.

 

Not sure if this affects all weapons, but seemingly hit-scan weapons can't shoot through it.

Has the infestation managed to create a new type of semi-solid gas that protects them from bullets?

I've noticed this too except these poison gas clouds are also solid to the warframes themselves. I killed a poison gas Hive that spreads gas around the map like it should but the gas blocks bullets,  certain powers, and is apparently a solid object that can be traversed, climbed, or wall jumped on.

 

Aside from the poison it was funny until one of those gas clouds was covering a tumor making it untouchable and impossible to complete the mission.

beware: the infested might be infecting the nullifier backpacks scattered. and maybe sooner we might get nully infested.

its a glitch since its too obvious that it can block the bullets.
