Silva And Aegis And Dual Property..

Recently picked this up and was very disappointed that it had not one physical property. I understand the sword being made of pure elemental however it is solid enough to slash into and through flesh. If you made a hammer out of ice, would that hammer not do impact damage to whatever it hits? 

 

A lightsaber, sword made of pure energy, does it not slice through material as if it were butter?

 

I think just because a weapon is made of a particular element does not mean that it cannot harm within physical properties. When I think of a pure heat damage weapon, I think of a flame thrower because instead of harming your physical form in a forceful way such as going through you or pushing you down, it merely wipes flame across you.

 

Now if you were to concentrate that element to the point to where it would be dense enough to pierce or slash through physical entities with force, then it should be known as both a heat and forceful weapon.

 

Anyway, my suggestion is to make the Silva and Aegis the first dual property weapon. What I mean is to give it a slashing heat damage type, that could be scaled by both slashing mods AND heat mods..

 

But then people are like "But now it's overpowered", nearly every other weapon in the game can have an element added to it's already visible physical damage types. Making them appear "normal", while a weapon like this that DOES slash but does not have slashing damage would seem gimp. 

 

Tl;dr The Silva and Aegis needs a physical damage property associated with it. This property could be known as a "Slashing Heat" property that can scale with both Heat and Slashing mods (the same way it would for any weapon using the % calculations).

 

This could also open the door for the Frozen Hammer that has the Impactful Freeze damage property. ;-)

By dual property, it would be equal chance. But I think i'd rather the proc still be with the element. The slashing would simply be for the weapon to be able to scale its damage with physical damage mods. So you could use slash mods to increase the damage as well as heat mods (like most other weapons)

Like the dual/simple heat swords. Those weapons deal physical damage and on addition some fire procs when jump attack and almost the same with mire but that basicaly can deal toxic damage.

 

The other which not strength this rule is the beloved plasma sword. That weapon clearly physical and could deal some small physical amount of damage but only deal electric and with c.rap status proc.

 

Other way that weapon is slow so it's literally a garbage that made for levelling but nobody will use it.

 

Fang and fang primes should deal more slash damage because those daggers could slash and pierce too (not only just by their shape) if not does any impact then it's right it's not the daggers role.

 

Aegis and silva as you said need some phyiscal damage.

 

I also forgot the karyst - guys pls give some physical damage and increase sligthly that status.

The Sword does not have slash because it's not a sword. Look closely at it, it's basically a flame thrower shaped like a blade. Why would you make a sword with vents to propel fire? The guts and gore would clog it an ruin the whole device.
