Firestorm Mod Description Is Getting Ridiculous

It was brought to the attention in Council chat over the weekend that every time a new launcher or specialized weapon is added that Firestorm applies to it increases the length of the text description on the Firestorm mod to try and accommodate it.


 


Attempts to shoehorn weapons into it have made the description text one of the longest in the game.


 


It may have been part of the reason Simulor was not included as part of the Firestorm weapon line-up. 


 


Simplifying the mod description should allow it to include it as well as future content instead of listing all 8 reindeer or all 7 dwarfs it could apply to.

Current Description (Maxed): Improves the blast radius of the Ignis, Ogris, Tonkor, Penta, and increases the radius of gas clouds created by the Torid. +24% Blast Radius


 


Suggested Simplified Description (Maxed): +24% Area Effect Radius for specialized launcher weapons


 


 


Note: Canadian spelling may be "specialised". Please adjust accordingly.

Yeah, it's kinda getting silly. Not to mention inaccurate. I'm actually not sure XD but it should only pop up when trying to mod a weapon that can use it, if it doesn't already. Next to changing the text accordingly, like OP suggests.

It does. That's how I double-checked that it didn't work on Simulor when someone asked over the weekend.

 

Why does it even need to mention those weapons? It should simply not show up for guns it can't be used on, like projectile speed or range mods.

 

Well, some people like to also go through their Mods through the Mod screen under Codex or under Equipment to see what all they have.

 

Most Warframe weapons in general seem to fall under the "Unique" category so that could confuse people, too.

Wow, I never even thought to use this with the Ignis. It's a flamethrower and all the other weapons are explosive projectile weapons.

 

How about "Improves the blast radius of a select list of arbitrarily chosen weapons. Can you find them all??? +24% blast radius" 

 

I joke because I care ;P

It would be cool if it also worked on the explosions from thunderbolt and entropy spike

 

There would need to be a separate Mod for that, one for Bows & Crossbows that worked with Thundebolt, and one for Secondaries that worked with Entropy Spike (or other Syndicate proc effects).
