Nvidia Video Driver Crashing In Warframe Sometimes.

lately, my Video Driver crashes from time to time in Warframe. doesn't seem to occur in other games at all.

each of these Drivers has been used, and has had the same Crashing issues, save for 350.12 and previous if memory serves.

had updated Drivers to 353.06 not long ago since i was about two months behind, and using the current version is generally recommended, so.

when i started experiencing Video Driver Crashes from time to time on 353.06, i then backversioned to 352.86. still occurring.

a couple days ago (IIRC), i moved to 353.30, to see if it would be resolved. it was not.

now, i could backversion to 350.12 or earlier i guess, but something is off if the Video Driver is Crashing, it's not supposed to :p

i haven't adjusted any settings as of yet, but if i do, i will mention the results of those.

attempting to diagnose this is annoyingly difficult though, because the Crashes only happen maybe one, twice a day even if i'm playing Warframe for most of the day, to look for reasons why this is happening.

meaning changing settings will have a lot of... time before i can expect to find out if anything changed.

Hi,

I see someone else has had issues with the nvidia drivers. This started from the release of U16.10. I've had to reformat 7 times in the last week because of the driver. Then when trying to install a fresh install or a different driver release, the installation kept failing. I've been forced to reformat the pc many times. In the end I am using the Driver found in Windows update and I haven't crashed since.

Hi,

If you have to constantly format your PC then something else must be wrong. It's known that the driver causes some GPU driver crashes, but that's nothing that will force you to redo your entire windows installation.

Even if everything seems to work for you right now...you should really read through the crash.dmp and minidmp files or at least check the event log and do some troubleshoots. Because there seems to be quite the difference between your issue and the known driver issues...as the known driver issues will mostly under certain circumstances only give you GPU Kernel crashes unless your system already has something weird going on with it...that you can't even install certain drivers could point at many issues.

Anything from broken hardware to faulty bios.

The driver just refuses to reinstall even after I choose a clean installation. I only have issues with Warframe when its crashing. Atm I am using an older driver and machine is running how it was previously. Nice and stable. I had to re format pc as it was the only time I could get the driver to install properly again. Strange I know but as I am having no issues with boot or hassles with any other program I can only assume its a combination of nvidia and Warframe being the fault.

In terms of drivers and bios all up to date except for nvidia driver.

-snip-

that's definitely a completely different issue. and sounds like there's a Hardware problem somewhere around.

it is not recommended to ignore issues, they can escalate into much more severe problems if you ignore them because it isn't inconvenient enough at the current time.

Didn't see the hot fix from nVidia... going to give that a go and see if my problems go away.

As of now, I'm still experiencing CTD's from driver crashes. As someone has mentioned, this started around the begining of U16.

Can you please try installing the 353.38 hotfix and let us know if it stops the crash?

well, i just had my Video Driver Crash, so i guess it's not completely fixed, but it certainly seems like it's happening much less often.
