The twin grakata has the same fire rate and mag size as a single grakata?

 

I may need to check in-game description.

 

Yeah not freakin okay. it should have a firerate of 40.

Mag should be 120.

Why isnt Clan Tech Weapons research rushable yet? 

 

I could imagine them making more in plat spending with allowing us to rush research, than forcing everyone who wants it first day to spend 325p on it...

 

while everyone else waits for research...

 

I mean if we can rush decor we should be able to rush the research times.

Is is just me, or is power creep rearing its ugly head with every new addition. No wonder people don't use any of the older weapons anymore.

 

Mabye the reason you (DE) have to keep removing weapons/frames from drops or from the game altogether, is because they're USELESS compared to - oh, ANY new weapon that's released.

please fix Harpak description saying it an automatic fire weapons when the trigger is burst fire. the gun performance also pretty poor just like Paracyst really...secondary fire of this gun is really redundant if you think about it. this gun should be automatic instead of burst fire

I agree with it being automatic but the secondary fire is there because it is a harpoon gun. It also deals 50 base damage how is that weak like the paracyst?

Harpak desperately needs auto-fire, as it is advertised. Right now, the burst fire mechanic just helps its DPS to hell, since the fire rate cannot be boosted by any means. Seeing the slow bursts is just painful, knowing I cannot change it is even more horrifying. DE please?

I agree with it being automatic but the secondary fire is there because it is a harpoon gun. It also deals 50 base damage how is that weak like the paracyst? 

u charge it up and u hardly hit the target and instead of pulling the enemy to your location why not dealing low damage but impale them to the wall allow them to be disable for a few seconds to give your team a breather? we are all use paracyst and we are known that no one like that gun

ACK & BRUNT :

I feel the Ack & Brunt suffers from the same thing the Silva & Ageis suffers from. They are both fairly low damaging weapons and have no benefit to blocking or using the shield (that I'm aware of). Upon testing, the damage I received while blocking with the Ack & Brunt was no different than the damage I received while blocking with the Jat Kittag or other melees. 

 

I'm honestly not concerned with the damage of the weapons. Not every weapon needs to be an end-game boss slayer, but since there's no benefit to the shield aspects of the weapon, there's nothing that separates it from any weapon in the sword category. If there was some benefit to blocking either in the form of more efficient blocking or some sort of temporary buff from blocking damage (something similar to how syndicate weapons function, just with a percentage of blocked damage instead of experience), I feel that'd bring the the sword and shield weapons up to where they need to be. 

 

The sword and shield weapons are some of the most unique weapons in the game and I feel with just a little bit more love they can earn the respect they deserve and not be looked at as just 'mastery fodder'. :)

You are just talking about Sword and Shields in general. The Ack and Brunt is a solid medicore weapon with it's critical chance.

I have to agree with this. Do note that the new stance also adds to Ack and Brunt.

 

 

I've been using this weapon constantly since U17 came out and not once have I had to switch away from it. It's on ScindoPrime/Atterax levels of crit (imo) and the stance Final Harbinger turns it into one of the deadliest weapons out there on a berserk build.

 

40 Damage might seem weak, but remember that it's berserk viable, we have a new stance, and the fact that it's physical damage based, not silly flame based.

 

Fire is just a bad base element right now.

So hot. That is sword and board done right.

I'd personally prefer it if it was a single shot weapon with a damage increase so it does as much damage as the alt-fire but without the chain/pull option. It would make it feel more like a harpoon gun... Perhaps increase the model of the harpoon projectile aswell, it looks very tiny atm.

As I said in my original post, I don't really have an issue with the damage. It's more the fact the shield has no added benefit outside of looks at the moment. Being a sword AND shield, I'd expect the shield to play some part in the weapon's functionality. My hope is that when blocking, it'll negate the damage more effectively.... but it doesn't at the moment which is a little disappointing. 

 

If the shield doesn't offer anything to the mechanics of the sword and shield, then it's just a sword... and I'd say the most interesting aspect of these weapons is in fact the shield.
