Make A Melee Weapon

I haven't seen one of these threads in a while so instead of the usual buff this and nerf that figured I'd post one of these just for fun to see what people come up with.

try to come up with something that fills a role we don't have yet.

 

 

What is it?

What stances does it use? or what type/class of weapon is it?

What damage types? High Crits or status or neither? Channeling?

Finger and feet claws

 

What type of weapon is it?

Sparring type like obex & kogake, since that weapon class is very small

 

What damage?

Mainly slash with a bit of puncture, it would have high status to further seperate it from obex/kogake which both only have 10%

 

this would also fix banshees fugly feet

Fist sparring type, mostly palm thrusts and jabs

 

Launches out energy blasts like a short-range cannon, long-ish range for melee

 

Puncture and impact damage, but primarily impact, works off high crits and fast DPS

 

I'm afraid that's not going to work...it will break fingers. and soul punch already does.

would the energy blasts be a new stance for all the fist weapons like furax/ankyros?

or would this be a new class of weapon?

or could the energy blasts be a unique mechanic to this weapon alone?

So it's kinda a shame that we don't have one of these already. The word Ichor was used in ancient Greece in reference to the Blood that flows in the veins of the gods or the immortals. Oston Tsekouri means bone ax in Greek I just chopped off the T because why not. I call it this because if I remember correctly the Ichors are made out ot Sinew bone and I'm guessing this Ax will be too. The stats I compiled are just increases of the ichors stats based on the zoren and scindo.

 

Oston Sekouri

 

Heavy

MR 6(like the dual ichor)

Physical Damage: None

Elemental Damage: 111.5 Toxin Damage

Crit Chance: 15

Crit Multiplier: 2(I hate 1.5)

Status: 25%(30 would have been on par with the zoren to scindo change but thought it might be too high)

 

I'm not going to go into all of the other stats as these are the most important.

The ground slam has a 120 toxin damage and also has a 25% chance to proc a toxin effect within a 5m radius(not increased by mods) 

 

There is currently no artwork for this as I am artistically challenged. Feel free to add a pic if you would like. Bored at work so I drew up a basic pic

This is a concept for a new Trident style weapon. Please feel free to leave your opinions on the weapon. 

I'm a horrible artist so a visual representation won't be in store for the future. I wanted the damage to be on par with the Orthos Prime. It will deal primarily puncture damage with a touch of impact. It will have a more piercing attack style with its finishers ending in the target being smacked by the ornamental ball that's on the end of the weapon. It will also have a charge attack that fires a harpoon(similar to the Grineer Scorpions) from the center spike of the trident. The harpoon will deal puncture damage and have an innate punch through allowing you to pull up to 3 enemies in. The projectile damage will start off with a base of 150 dropping 25% for each enemy that the punch through hits. 

 

Mastery Level: 3

Weapon Type: Trident

Physical Damage 65

Puncture: 50

Impact: 15

Crit Chance: 10%

Crit Multiplier: 2.5

Attack Rate: .9

Stamina: 12

Charge attack: 150 Puncture damage; 2nd enemy 112; 3rd 84

Charge range: 15m

The charge attack has a higher crit chance of 20% with the same multiplier. 

Jump attack: 75

Slam attack deals ice damage because water isn't a thing

Elemental damage: 45

Radius: 10m

Slide attack: 110

 

Stance: The stance is a new stance called Neptune's Rage; not really sure on combos yet I'm open for input here. 

Stance and weapon stance slot have d polarity; kinda to go along with the ice theme.
