More Exterminate Bugs

The Blaze Alert earlier today was hit with this pretty hard, but it's an ongoing issue in the Grineer Sealab:

Mission setups with Sharkwing tiles, ESPECIALLY alerts, can't properly spawn enemies, leading to situations where after killing a third of the enemies you jump in the water, and the path to extraction is completely clear. Sometimes running back and forth will spawn more stuff but sometimes you're just out of luck. Oh, and if your extraction tile is that one tile that's identical to a starting tile just backwards, enemies love to clump up on that one too

 

I presume this is because Dragas and Sikulas aren't set up to spawn in any mission tagged "alert", nut this is just my guess since I don't see the game's code at all

Yeah it's best to move slowly so the game spawns more enemies in the next room. I have had those sealab missions soft lock a few times for going near the extraction tile before getting the required amount of kills and going back doesn't spawn enemies anymore.

ALL exterminate-type missions have broken spawn mechanics, but are less common compared to sharkwing tiles.

 

Also, go fast in infested invasions, chances are you'd meet this bug as well.

Not sure about that. I find more issues with normal Exterminate missions that are not on the sharkwing tiles. It is almost every time I enter an extermination mission, I make it to extraction before half of the enemies spawn. Then I have to go back and forth for 20 minutes while it spawns a few mobs at a time. Used to love Extermination missions..now they are now my second most hated mission next to Spy missions.

Trust me, it's REALLY bad in Sharkwing Alerts. Take your usual problem with Exterminates, and now flag half the map with tiles that enemies aren't allowed to spawn in
