Velundros
There is another post out there presently concerning dual nikanas. I wholeheartedly think that would be awesome. What I wanted to post about was to ask for another stance for dual swords - the two we have are showing their age and need some help. A new stance would be great. Additionally I was thinking about how dual swords can be different from their single versions..stances aside. What if they were given a channeling damage buff. Every weapon seems to do 1.5x damage when channeled. What if dual swords were set at 2.0x or 2.5x? Right now, I feel channeling mods are a loss of a slot with very little upside. Being able to have a set of weapons to create a "channeling" build for would be a nice distinction. Sure you can create a channel build now...but like adding berserker to a weapon with a 5% crit chance...there are better options. TL:DR - Dual Swords = Cool but dated. New Stance + Increased damage on channel would give them new life and unique design space. Thank you for Reading!
Teloch
Can't agree on the channeling buff, but dual weapons do need another stance. Even claws have three stances atm... But, unfortunately, DE attention has shifted from melee. There are stances that utilize only one (1!) combo (both polearms stances, coiling viper). I wish to see per 3 stances in each category and per 3 combos in each stance one day, but looking at the way DE split their attention (read: man/hours) at the number of highly varying game aspects, systems and new content development make me suppose that they will never complete the melee system.
