Gender Alternate Warframes

DE has said they won't allow full Gender Swaps, but they HAVE said they might do Gender Alternates, where they are a different gender, but with the same theme/sorts of powers. So here I am, bored at 12:52 AM(when I started typing this at least) and thinking to myself: "Hey, why don't you make a Gender Alternate of EVERY WARFRAME CURRENTLY IN THE GAME?!" Sure! That sounds like a great idea! The next day(After staying up till 3 AM working on this) I looked at what I had already done, and decided, "Sure, I'm crazy enough to finish this." So, starting from 6:30 PM to 11:40 PM I worked on it, and finished it. So here we go, bear with me folks, we'll go Alphabetically from the top. Be warned that these are all basically BSed off the top of my head, and have not been properly balanced or thought out at ALL. Just a heads up. Also, be ready for a LOT of reading.

 

-Ash Female Alternate: Wisp

First Power: Needles

 

Using this power throws out a group of slim, deadly needles, silently dispatching foes.

 

Damage is: 50/75/100/125, and throws 3/4/5/6 needles. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Headshots for double damage, ignores armor, deals triple damage to light infested, impales and can puncture at least 2 enemies.

 

Will not disrupt Shade's cloak, or Ethereal Form (Described Below)

 

Can be used while sliding, jumping, wall running, and clinging to a wall.

 

The needles are thrown in a small cluster, to maintain decent accuracy for headshots.

 

They are completely silent.

 

Second Power: Stun Powder

 

Using this power causes Wisp to throw her arm out in a wide arc, launching a broad cloud of Stun Powder that stuns and staggers enemies for 3/5/7/9/12 seconds.

 

Range is 4/4/6/8 MetersThis can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Stun Powder is thrown in a 180 degree arc in front of Wisp, it is blocked by cover, but not other enemies.

 

Third Power: Ethereal Form

 

Using this power, Wisp slips into an Ethereal form, becoming like a ghost. She becomes immune to damage, but cannot harm other enemies with her guns or melee attacks, she can only damage enemies using her Needles. She can pass through enemies in this form, if it wears off while she is inside an enemy, the enemy will take high damage, if it dies, Wisp appears in its place, if it survives, it is staggered, and Wisp is shunted behind it.

 

Damage: 300/300/500/500 This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Duration: 4/6/8/10 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Ultimate Power: Slicing Orchid

 

Using this power Wisp summons an orchid of ethereal blades to rise up around her, shredding apart enemies.

 

Damage: 700/800/900/1000 Serrated Blade damage. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Radius: 14/14/15/16 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Wisp is invulnerable while this goes off, but the casting animation is quite short.

 

Conclusion

 

Wisp is a fast, high-damage caster alternative to Ash, sharing similar abilities in Needles/Shuriken, and Smoke Bomb/Ethereal Form, but with differences in playstyle, focusing on high power usage, and less focus on the gunplay and melee aspects that Ash takes advantage of.

First Power: Wavelength

 

Using this power, Sone throws out a wave of sonic energy that travels forward, doing damage and stumbling enemies in its path.

 

Damage: 20/20/25/30 This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Range: 10/10/15/20 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

This damage is Armor Piercing damage.

 

Second Power: Oscillation

 

Using this power, Sone sets the weapons of himself and his teammates Oscillating at a very high frequency, causing all damage dealt by their guns and melee attacks to become Serrated Blade type damage.

 

Range: 15/15/20/25 meter Radial Buff. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Duration: This buff lasts 10 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Third Power: Mach

 

Using this Power, Sone launches himself in a target direction, breaking the sound barrier, and leaving a sonic boom between him and his destination, damaging enemies in that area.

 

Damage: 150/150/225/500 This damage can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Range: 10/10/13/15 In-game meters of distance traveled.

 

This damage is Armor Piercing.

 

Ultimate Power: Echo

 

This power causes Sone to release a massive Sonic blast towards the nearest enemy, dealing massive damage, the sound will then 'Echo' to the next nearest enemy, and continue to Echo until there are no more enemies in range.

 

Damage: 500/500/600/700 This damage can be increased by Power strength (Focus)

 

Range of 'Echoes': 8/8/9/10 Meters. This can be increased with Power Range (Stretch)

 

This damage is Armor Piercing damage.

 

Conclusion

 

Sone is slower and more durable than Banshee, but boasting the same high damage potential and team DPS support opportunities as Banshee herself, though he'll have to watch his power reserves a bit more closely than Banshee does.

 

-Ember Male Alternate: Cinder

First Power: Flash Burn

 

Using this power Cinder shoots out a quick burst of super-heated air directly in front of him at short range, dealing high damage, and burning through both flesh and even armor.

 

Damage is 250/250/275/300 This can be increased with Power Strength (Focus)

 

Range is short, only 5 meters, but very wide, covering 220 degrees in front of Cinder and spreading to his sides. This CANNOT be increased by Power Range.

 

This damage ignores armor.

 

Second Power: Brimstone

 

Using this power causes Cinder to lay down a patch of super-heated brimstone, causing high fire damage to enemies that pass over it.

 

Patch is 3 meters in diameter.

 

Damage is 100/100/125/150 when an enemy walks over it, and repeats this damage every 3 seconds the enemy stands in it. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

This lasts for 30 seconds at all levels. This CANNOT be increased by Power Duration.

 

Third Power: Pyroclastic Bomb

 

Using this power causes Cinder to lob a large bomb of molten rock, when it lands it explodes in a splash of fire and heated rock shrapnel that deals high damage to enemies in the radius.

 

Damage is 300/300/400/500 damage. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Explosive Radius is 3/3/4/5 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Ultimate Power: Eruption

 

This power causes Cinder to summon a mighty eruption, sending a flow of lava outwards from his location, doing very high damage over time as long as the lava lasts.

 

Damage is 225/225/250/300 every .75 seconds to any number of enemies in the lava patch summoned. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Lava spreads out to a range of 12/12/13/15 This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

This power lasts for 7/8/9/10 seconds. This can be increased with Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Conclusion

 

Cinder is a bit faster and tougher than Ember, but shares her focus on high damage, and lots of burning, though he brings along better options for defending a specific area, and setting traps thanks to Brimstone and Eruption. However he'll have to watch his energy to make sure he doesn't burn through it as fast as he burns through his foes.

First Power: Blade Wind

 

Using this power summons a series of swords to whirl and spin around Joyeuse, dealing damage to nearby enemies.

 

Damage is 150/150/225/500 vs all Grineer, Corpus Crewmen and Ancient Infested and 450/450 / 675/1500 vs light Infested and Moa. This is increased with Power Strength (Focus)

 

Range is 3 Meters around Joyeuse at all levels. This CANNOT be increased by Power Range.

 

Second Power: Hamstring

 

Using this power causes Joyeuse to spin low to the ground, blades spinning around with her to slice the legs of nearby enemies, knocking them down and making them take longer to stand.

 

Range is 8/8/11/14 Meters. This is increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Enemies are knocked to the ground and take 30%/30%/40%/50% longer to stand back up.

 

 

Third Power: Mighty Leap

 

Using this power causes Joyeuse to make a mighty long jump, jumping 4/4/5/6 meters forwards. This CANNOT be increased by Power Range.

 

Cannot be used while in the air.

 

Ultimate Power: Hurricane of Blades

 

Using this power summons a massive amount of swords that spin and whirl around Joyeuse like a hurricane, shredding any enemies in the radius.

 

Damage is 300/300/400/500 this can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

This lasts for 4/4/6/7 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Conclusion

 

A very balanced frame, with similar abilities to Excalibur, but enough differences to make sure she stays unique and keeps her individuality.

 

-Frost Female Alternate: Glacia

Using this power causes Glacia to create a burst of cold around her, freezing enemies around her until they thaw.

Duration is 3/3/4/5 Seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Enemies that are frozen can take damage normally without being unfrozen.

 

Second Power: Hailstorm

 

Using this power summons a vicious hailstorm around Glacia, this deals damage and slows any enemies that enter it.

 

50/50/75/100 damage every 3 seconds. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Duration of 30 seconds at all levels. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Range of 7/7/8/9 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Slow of 20%/30%/40%/50%.

 

Third Power: Rime

 

Using this power encases Glacia and her allies in a thick layer of ice, reducing damage they take.

 

30%/30%/40%/50% damage resistance to both shields and health.

 

10/10/15/20 meter radial buff. This can be increased with Power Range (Stretch)

 

Duration of 6/6/8/10 seconds. This can be increased with Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Ultimate Power: Flash Freeze

 

Using this power Glacia lets off a massive wave of extreme cold that freezes enemies solid for a long period of time, forcing them to slowly thaw out, during this time they are extremely fragile.

 

Range of 8/8/14/16 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Freezes enemies for 10/10/15/20 seconds.

 

While frozen, enemies can be freely damaged without being unfrozen. Enemies frozen by this power lose their armor and resistances to all damage types.

 

Conclusion

 

In contrast to the slow defensive minded Frost, Glacia is a nimble support specialist, delaying enemy advances, or stopping them in their tracks completely. She may not be as hardy as most warframes, but she'll ensure that all enemies who face her learn the meaning of the word "FREEZE!"

 

-Loki Female Alternate: Eris

Using this power causes enemies to see the target as an enemy and threat, causing the target to draw a larger amount of aggro than usual, and making enemies target it until it is dead. If the target dies before the duration expires, the effect transfers to the next nearest enemy within 15 meters.

 

Duration of 10/10/15/20 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Range of 40 Meters at all levels. This CANNOT be increased by Power Range.

 

Second Power: False Peace

 

Using this power causes all enemies in the radius to lose aggro, and not aggro on Eris or her allies for the duration of the ability, unless attacked. Each target will only retain hostility if they individually are attacked, attacking other nearby enemies will not turn nearby ones hostile unless they are also attacked.

 

This power has a range of 15/15/20/25 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

This power lasts for 15/15/20/20 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Third Power: Foe Scramble

 

Using this power switches the positions of all nearby enemies with the enemy farthest from them, the sudden change staggers enemies, leaving them vulnerable.

 

This power has a range of 10/10/14/18 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

This power staggers the enemies for 2/2/4/6 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Ultimate Power: Discord

 

Using this power causes all enemies in the radius to go insane, making them do a random action from the following: Attack an ally, attack an ally with melee, flee from Tenno, flee from Allies, stop moving and become staggered, or lose all hostility.

 

This power lasts for 20/20/30/40 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

This power has a range of 16/16/18/20 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Conclusion

While slightly slower than Loki, she is a bit more durable, but retains his tricks and chaos-causing abilities, able to sow strife and madness through the ranks of her foes, she can trick them into lowering their guard, or drive them insane, making them easier to pick off.

 

-Mag Male Alternate: Polaris

Using this power, Polaris launches the target enemy up into the air suddenly, dealing damage and ragdolling them.

 

Damage is 80/80/90/100 This is increased by Power Strength (Focus)

Range is 5/5/10/15 meters. This is increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Second Power: Magnetic Well

 

Using this throws out a point of massive magnetic power that draws all bullets and projectiles into it, after a certain amount of time, the Magnetic Well explodes, launching the collected bullets and projectiles outwards in a large explosion.

 

The damage is based on the projectiles fired into it.

The thrown range is 10 meters at all levels.

The draw range where it takes in any projectiles including hitscan, laser, and other projectiles, including Leeches from Leech ospreys, and the lasers of Railgun and Fusion Moas, is 5/5/10/10 meters. This is increased by Power Range (Stretch)

This draws in allied fire as well.

 

Third Power: Deflection Field

 

This power summons a bubble of high magnetic power that surrounds Polaris and follows him around, during this time all enemy projectiles shot at Polaris are deflected away, sometimes striking other enemies, and all projectiles shot by Polaris deal double damage.

 

Ultimate Power: Hematomagnetisim

 

This power causes Polaris to super-magnetize the iron particles in the blood of nearby enemies, drawing it out suddenly and violently, causing massive damage and stunning those who survive.

 

This power does 800/800/900/1000 points of armor ignoring damage. This is increased by Power Strength (Focus)

The range of this power is 10/10/13/15 meters. This is increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Conclusion

Polaris is a hardier healthwise, and a bit quicker than Mag, with more defensive focused powers to help protect himself and teammates from enemy projectiles, allowing him to be more defensive and party-oriented.

 

-Nova Male Alternate: Nihil

This power causes Nihil to release a burst of Antiparticles around him, causing a heavy explosion in a short radius all around him

The range of this power is 3 meters.

The damage is 400/400/500/600. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

This power knocks down all enemies hit.

This power deals Physics Impact type damage.

 

Second Power: Matter Impact

 

This power charges the melee weapons of Nihil and his allies with a field of Antimatter, causing heavy explosions with every strike as the Antimatter clashes with the matter of their targets.

 

Damage is 80%/80%/90%/100% of melee damage as a 1 meter explosion with every strike.

Range of Radial Buff is 15/15/20/25 meters.

Duration is 8/8/10/12 seconds. This is increased by Power Duration (Stretch)

 

Third Power: Matter Reversal

 

This power suddenly alters the particles of the specific target, changing their body into a mass of Anitmatter and causing them to explode as they are suddenly in contact with the normal matter around them.

 

This power does 800/800/900/1000 damage. This is increased by Power Strength (Focus)

This power has 20 meter range at all levels. This is increased by Power range (Stretch)

The explosion radius is 3 meters. This is increased by Power range (Stretch)

 

Ultimate Power: Annihilation

 

Using this power causes Nihil to open a rift to a section of space filled with Antimatter, causing a flow of Antimatter particles to rise out from the rift at his feet, causing a massive series of explosions around him.

 

The damage of this power is 250/250/300/350 damage per explosion. This can be increased by Power strength (Focus)

This power causes 3/3/4/5 explosions one after another This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

The range of this power is 10 Meters. This is increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Conclusion

 

Nihil is a slower, more durable form of Nova, while retaining the massive, deadly power of Antimatter within him, but allowing him to cause quick, sudden bursts of damage around the battlefield, as opposed to causing entire waves of destruction across the field.

 

-Nyx Male Alternate: Erebus

First Power: Nightwave

 

This power causes Erebus to send out a wave of darkness in front of him, blinding enemies and causing them to fire wildly in random directions.

 

The range of this power is 7 Meters at all levels. This CANNOT be increased by Power Range

This wave is fired in a 180 degree radius in front of Erebus.

The duration of this power is 6/6/7/8 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Second Power: Darkblades

 

This power causes Erebus to strike the ground, causing a series of dark, shadowy blades to jut out suddenly in front of him, dealing high damage.

 

The damage of this is 250/250/300/300 This is increased by Power strength (Focus)

The range of this is 8/8/9/10 meters in front of Erebus, the blades spread out in to one meter wide.

 

Third Power: Shadow Stride

 

Using this power causes Erebus to sink into the shadows, tripling his movement speed, making him undetectable, and allowing him to pass under enemies.

 

The duration of this power is 8/8/10/12 Seconds. This is increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Ultimate Power: Eclipse

 

Using this power causes Erebus to send out a massive wave of darkness, blinding all enemies in the radius and dealing damage overtime to them.

 

The duration of this power is 15/15/20/20 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

The range of this power is 15/15/20/20 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

This power does 15/15/20/25 damage per second. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Conclusion

Erebus, as opposed to its female counterpart Nyx, manipulates the darkness around enemies instead of their minds, blinding them and dealing damage as darkness eats away at his foes. However for this he suffers a loss of speed and power reserves, but becomes far more durable as a result.

 

-Rhino Female Alternate: Amazon

Using this power causes Amazon to leap forward in a deadly pounce, striking and dealing damage in her way, and causing high damage to the enemy she strikes at the end of her pounce.

 

The range of this power is 10/10/15/20 meters.

The damage of this power is 400/400/500/600 damage to the pounced upon target. This can be increased by Power strength (Focus)

The damage of this power is 200/200/250/300 to enemies between her and her target. This can be increased by Power strength (Focus)

 

Second Power: Vengeful Fury

 

Using this power causes Amazon to absorb damage from enemies for a certain amount of time, dealing this damage in addition to her regular damage with all melee strikes.

 

This power can absorb up to 800/800/900/1000 points of damage. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

Striking an enemy with a melee strike empties the current amount of damage absorbed, allowing more to be absorbed.

This power has a duration of 8/8/9/10 seconds, this can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Third Power: Whirlwind Strike

 

Using this power causes Amazon to whirl around with a series of stikes, dealing high damage to all nearby enemies and knocking them down.

 

This power does 500/500/600/700 damage. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

The range of this power is 5/5/6/7 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Ultimate Power: Absolute Rage

 

Using this power causes Amazon to be overcome with rage and bloodlust, massively increasing her damage resistance, melee damage, melee speed, and knockdown immunity.

 

This power increases melee damage and speed by 100%/100%/125%/150%

This power grants 70%/70%/80%/90% damage resistance.

This power makes Amazon immune to stunning, stumbling, and knockdowns.

 

Conclusion

 

Amazon is a fast, violent alternative to Rhino, focusing on getting into the middle of the fray, and tearing things up. She has a high melee focus, and her abilities are made to get her into the fray as fast as possible, and do as much damage as possible. She trades much of the durability of Rhino for speed and energy reserves.

 

-Saryn Male Alternate: Hebenon

Using this power causes Hebenon to launch a burst of acid in front of him, dealing damage over time and lowering enemy armor.

 

This power does 5/5/10/15 damage per second of poison damage. This CANNOT be increased by Power Strength.

The duration of this power is 8/8/9/10 seconds. This is increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

This reduces enemy armor by 25%/25%/35%/50%

The range of this power is 4/4/5/6 meters in a 180 degree arc.

 

Second Power: Nervescatter Poison

 

Using this power releases a cloud of Nervescatter poison, this poison slows enemies down, makes them take additional damage, and will cause them to randomly stagger from the damage to their nervous system caused by the poison

 

This power has a range of 10/10/12/14 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

The duration of this power is 4/4/6/8 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

Enemies take 30%/30%/40%/50% extra damage during the duration of this power.

 

Third Power: Toxic Cyst

 

This power implants a cyst of deadly poison inside the target, causing them to release a cloud of lethal acidic toxins, dealing damage over time to all enemies around the target. If the enemy dies the cloud of toxins stays where they died for the rest of the duration.

 

The range of this power is 15/15/20/25 meters.

The damage of this power is 30/30/40/50 damage per second. This is increased by Power Strength (Focus)

The duration of this power is 14/14/16/18 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Ultimate Power: Phage Cloud

Priest is slower and more durable than Trinity, but loses on power reserves. His powers focusing on granting buffs to himself and his party, allowing him to prepare himself and his allies for a series of battles, or tough foes, and his ultimate allows him to deal damage to his enemies while replenishing himself and his allies at the same time.

Ultimate Power: Omega Guardian

 

Using this power summons a huge guardian shaped like a figure with heavy guns for arms and a pair of shoulder cannons, this guardian faces and shoots at all enemies in range.

 

The gun arms of the guardian deal 10/10/15/20 damage with a fire rate of 10. This CANNOT be increased by Power Strength.

The shoulder cannons deal 50/50/75/100 damage, and fire once every 3 seconds. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

Conclusion

Also, I'm aware that gender alternate warframes are low on the priority list (VERY low) this was mainly just my pure insanity acting up making me spend about 8 hours of time making all this.

They might dislike it a tad, but they have recognized the outcry for gender swaps or the like and have mentioned this very idea several times. Even if I personally dislike the way this is done (if it is ever implemented), because I disagree with their "you are in control of several Tenno and not just one, and we want the warframes to have personalities instead of the player", but there you are. You can't just have new shiny things all the time, old content needs work just as much, sometimes even more.

On topic: If DE ever gets around to address this and does it this way, (and just to not-very-subtly-at-all get my point across even more, I'd rather have both genders of a similar warframe be able to interchange between their skills) I would be very ok with them stealing ALL of these ideas of yours. They should just hire you, to be honest, hah

Wisp:

Based on the Will-o'-the-Wisp, also known as Jack-o'-Lanterns, Hobby Lanterns, or Hinkypunk(Europeans are weird, I got nothing) are flickering ghost lights that usually appear in bogs, marshes, and swamps. They are often considered mischievous, or even downright malicious, luring travelers off the road or into dangerous parts of the bogs and swamps. How does it connect to Wisp herself as a Warframe? Well, her ghostly nature due to Ethereal Form certainly makes her vanish and appear like such lights, and it's certainly clear that she's there to lead her foes astray, preferably straight into the jaws of hell.

 

Sone:

A Sone is a proposed unit of perceived loudness, or a subjective measurement of the sound pressure caused by something. I don't know enough about acoustic science to really explain much more than that unfortunately. How does it connect to Sone himself as a Warframe? Pretty obvious, the pressure and 'loudness' of Sone's abilities is certainly felt by his enemies, arguably not for long, considering their destructive powers.

 

Cinder:

A Cinder is a piece of Pyroclastic material, which, in addition to sounding metal as hell, is basically a form of rock caused by volcanic eruptions, thereby cementing how metal as hell this rock is. How does it connect to Cinder himself as a Warframe? Once again, pretty self explanatory, he's the center of quite a bit of volcanic activity, and he's usually the only thing left.

 

Joyeuse:

Is the name of a sword used by Charlemagne, legends claim it was forged with the Lance of Longinus in its pommel, which is pretty awesome. How does it connect to Joyeuse herself as a Warframe? Her male counterpart is Excalibur, another legendary weapon wielded by a powerful man of importance, his 'sister' warframe should have an equally impressive and legendary weapon as her own name.

 

Glacia:

Not much here, sorry. Based off the word Glacier, there's no other fancy stories or science behind this one, I just thought it sounded cool, and feminine enough to let people know she is a she.

 

Eris:

Is the name of a Greek goddess of chaos, discord, and strife, not exactly the nicest lady, though, few Greek deities were. How does it connect to Eris herself as a Warframe? Eris sows chaos, strife, and (Literally)Discord among her enemies, leaving them in disarray to be destroyed at her leisure.

 

Polaris:

This was based first upon a change of the word Polarize, or Pole, which obviously connect to magnets, with their opposing poles. However it's also the name of a multi-star, made up of 5 different stars. How does this connect to Polaris himself as a Warframe? As one who controls the very power of the contrasting poles of magnetism, he can use his powers to both pull, and push the forces of the world.(Also he's in space, so stars! :D)

 

Nihil:

Simply put, it is Nothing, Zero, a lack of anything else. How does this connect to Nihil himself as a Warframe? One question, how much is left after he's done his work? You got it, Nihil.

 

Erebus:

Another Greek deity here, this time the Primordial representation of darkness and shadow, and, fittingly, the brother of Nyx, goddess of the night. How does this connect to Erebus himself as a Warframe? As a primordial avatar of darkness, Erebus makes sure that is all his foes see, pure blackness, let them drown in it.

 

Amazon:

More Greek stuff here(I know! It's everywhere! D: ) Amazons are a nation of all-female warrior women. They were extremely skilled, and very deadly with their various weapons. How does this connect to Amazon herself as a Warframe? As a vicious hand-to-hand warrior, the connection between her and the deadly Amazons is quite clear, she'll leave her foes as dead as the ancient Amazons themselves did.

 

Hebenon:

Hey look! Interesting things that aren't Greek! :D Hebenon actually comes from William Shakespeare's play, Hamlet, it is the deadly poison used to kill Hamlet's father, and leads to the entire series of tragic events in the classic play. How does this connect to Hebenon himself as a Warframe? As a master of deadly poisons and pestilences, Hebenon kills kings and paupers alike, so long as they oppose the Tenno, his insidious venoms will find them.

 

Priest:

I don't have much for this, I'm not sure what DE was going for with Trinity's name, was it perhaps based on the Christian Trinity of God? The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? Was it based on Trinity from the Matrix? Was it based on the Trinity site, where the first nuclear test was ever set off during the Manhattan Project? I'm not sure, so I kind of had to improvise for a healing/regeneration frame alternate to Trinity, this is the best I could do without spending another few hours googling random things. sorry.

 

Zenobia:

Zenobia was the Queen of the Palmyrene Empire, she lead a revolt against the Roman Empire, she actually managed to conquer Egypt and expel the Roman prefect, eventually beheading him after he tried to retake Egypt from here(That'll show 'em!). Vauban was based on a military engineer, so I wanted something similar, a female military leader or tactician, the best options I had were Zenobia, Joan of Arc, or Elizabeth II(Who was startlingly good at leading a military by the way!), I decided to go with the more exotic, interesting choice, so Zenobia it was. How does it connect to Zenobia herself as a Warframe? Gathering her army of Guardians, Zenobia will expel any foes that attempt to harm the Tenno, and she'll gladly push her 'soldiers' into enemy territory to obliterate all threats to the Tenno.

 

Ampera:

Based on Ampere, which is a unit of electrical measurement, basically an Ampere is how much electrical charge passes a point in a circuit per unit time. How does this connect to Ampera herself as a Warframe? Enemies may not understand the math, but they'll certainly feel the Amperes as they blast through their body, incapacitating and destroying anyone who opposes her.

I wonder how balanced all these powers and frame stats are in gameplay compared to the other frames...Anyone want to have fun trying to guess up tiers for these? I'd be interested to know people's opinions on how strong/weak they are.

Thanks! I definitely think I did the best with the concept of Zenobia. With Vauban's theme being 'Tactics' essentially, I wanted to have a tactical warframe, without just being 'set traps' like Vauban already is, so summoning an army to set them around or use them in ways to destroy enemies certainly seems like a new take on tactics from Vauban.

 

Amazon I like, and I'd actually love to play as her, we definitely need some ways to make people learn to stop charge-attacking constantly, buffing basic melee attacks is great, but we need a way to convince people it actually worked, having a melee focused frame and showing them just tearing through mobs with normal attacks would be a great way to show that, and would be an awesome way to play the game. Mixing in her normal powers in the middle of Absolute Rage would be a great way to expand on your normal melee attacks and make some neat 'combos' out of a mix of normal, and charge melee attacks, and her powers.

DE has said they won't allow full Gender Swaps, but they HAVE said they might do Gender Alternates, where they are a different gender, but with the same theme/sorts of powers. So here I am, bored at 12:52 AM(when I started typing this at least) and thinking to myself: "Hey, why don't you make a Gender Alternate of EVERY WARFRAME CURRENTLY IN THE GAME?!" Sure! That sounds like a great idea! The next day(After staying up till 3 AM working on this) I looked at what I had already done, and decided, "Sure, I'm crazy enough to finish this." So, starting from 6:30 PM to 11:40 PM I worked on it, and finished it. So here we go, bear with me folks, we'll go Alphabetically from the top. Be warned that these are all basically BSed off the top of my head, and have not been properly balanced or thought out at ALL. Just a heads up. Also, be ready for a LOT of reading.

 

-Ash Female Alternate: Wisp

Will not disrupt Shade's cloak, or Ethereal Form (Described Below)

 

Can be used while sliding, jumping, wall running, and clinging to a wall.

 

The needles are thrown in a small cluster, to maintain decent accuracy for headshots.

 

They are completely silent.

 

Second Power: Stun Powder

 

Using this power causes Wisp to throw her arm out in a wide arc, launching a broad cloud of Stun Powder that stuns and staggers enemies for 3/5/7/9/12 seconds.

 

Range is 4/4/6/8 MetersThis can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Stun Powder is thrown in a 180 degree arc in front of Wisp, it is blocked by cover, but not other enemies.

 

Third Power: Ethereal Form

 

Using this power, Wisp slips into an Ethereal form, becoming like a ghost. She becomes immune to damage, but cannot harm other enemies with her guns or melee attacks, she can only damage enemies using her Needles. She can pass through enemies in this form, if it wears off while she is inside an enemy, the enemy will take high damage, if it dies, Wisp appears in its place, if it survives, it is staggered, and Wisp is shunted behind it.

 

Damage: 300/300/500/500 This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Duration: 4/6/8/10 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

 

Ultimate Power: Slicing Orchid

 

Using this power Wisp summons an orchid of ethereal blades to rise up around her, shredding apart enemies.

 

Damage: 700/800/900/1000 Serrated Blade damage. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Radius: 14/14/15/16 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Wisp is invulnerable while this goes off, but the casting animation is quite short.

 

Conclusion

 

Wisp is a fast, high-damage caster alternative to Ash, sharing similar abilities in Needles/Shuriken, and Smoke Bomb/Ethereal Form, but with differences in playstyle, focusing on high power usage, and less focus on the gunplay and melee aspects that Ash takes advantage of.

 

-Banshee Male Alternate: Sone

Using this Power, Sone launches himself in a target direction, breaking the sound barrier, and leaving a sonic boom between him and his destination, damaging enemies in that area.

Range: 10/10/13/15 In-game meters of distance traveled.

 

This damage is Armor Piercing.

 

Ultimate Power: Echo

 

This power causes Sone to release a massive Sonic blast towards the nearest enemy, dealing massive damage, the sound will then 'Echo' to the next nearest enemy, and continue to Echo until there are no more enemies in range.

 

Damage: 500/500/600/700 This damage can be increased by Power strength (Focus)

 

Range of 'Echoes': 8/8/9/10 Meters. This can be increased with Power Range (Stretch)

 

This damage is Armor Piercing damage.

 

Conclusion

 

Sone is slower and more durable than Banshee, but boasting the same high damage potential and team DPS support opportunities as Banshee herself, though he'll have to watch his power reserves a bit more closely than Banshee does.

Damage is 100/100/125/150 when an enemy walks over it, and repeats this damage every 3 seconds the enemy stands in it. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

This lasts for 30 seconds at all levels. This CANNOT be increased by Power Duration.

 

Third Power: Pyroclastic Bomb

 

Using this power causes Cinder to lob a large bomb of molten rock, when it lands it explodes in a splash of fire and heated rock shrapnel that deals high damage to enemies in the radius.

 

Damage is 300/300/400/500 damage. This can be increased by Power Strength (Focus)

 

Explosive Radius is 3/3/4/5 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)

 

Ultimate Power: Eruption

 

This power causes Cinder to summon a mighty eruption, sending a flow of lava outwards from his location, doing very high damage over time as long as the lava lasts.

I can only dream XD If they want to use them, they are 100% free to do so, they don't need my permission, or to ask me, or pay me or anything. I'd just be stoked if any of these ideas got used AT ALL XD

Ultimate Power: Discord

 

Using this power causes all enemies in the radius to go insane, making them do a random action from the following: Attack an ally, attack an ally with melee, flee from Tenno, flee from Allies, stop moving and become staggered, or lose all hostility.

 

This power lasts for 20/20/30/40 seconds. This can be increased by Power Duration (Continuity)

This power has a range of 16/16/18/20 meters. This can be increased by Power Range (Stretch)




 

I think it would be funny if the skill was like World on Fire, and it just made enemies flee from Tenno :D

Would be interesting, but I dunno how effective that would actually be, I think it'd be better if it was something like Nyx's Chaos, where it just gets thrown out and effects all enemies in the radius until it wears off.

Woo! Necro Warframe has been announced, and while I have a few ideas for a Gender Alternate already, I'm going to hold off on writing out anything until the frame is actually released, and I can get my hands on it, but, I already have a potential name for her, keep an eye out for when the frame is released and I try it out some, I'll be doing a write up here soon after!

 

In the meantime, more fun with names!

 

Hel: Hel is, in Norse mythology, a woman who watches over the realm of the dead, Niflheim. Where those who died of sickness, hunger, old age, or generally died in any way that wasn't in GLORIOUS VIKING BATTLE! She is one of the children of Loki, and was cast into Niflheim and given her station by Odin himself. She is described as being part beautiful woman, and part skeleton/rotted flesh/some other analogy of a dead body. How does it fit with the Warframe? Being essentially the Norse goddess of death, she has mastery over necrosis and death, giving a strong connection to the upcoming 'Necro' warframe!

I really dont think that you should make different stats for them, seems kinda sexest. but i dont like the whole gender locked system either, but thats why they just needa come out with new warframes faster.

The thing is that these frames are NOT actually just straight up gender swaps, they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FRAMES that have the same THEME, such as Polaris and Mag both use magnetisim. Also, note that all I did was make their stats almost opposites of the current frames, I didn't make all the females flimsy and agile, and all the males huge and buff, that's not sexist at all. I just made the gender alternates actual counterparts to the current frames, giving them what I hope would be a distinctly different play style, while still keeping the same theme of power.
