They could make flare guns that act like Radial Blind (perhaps a weaker version of it?) that makes enemies' shots very inaccurate for 5 or so seconds (as long as the flare 'exploded' near them). It could also do minor fire damage on a direct impact (maybe 10 or so damage).

 

The gun would fire something akin to flashbangs that make a bright burst of light that lingers for 5sec or so and any enemy caught in the radius has their accuracy greatly reduced during that 5 sec (but no stun unlike Radial Blind).

You know why I want one?

Because some infested missions are dark as the place, where the sun never shines.

 

It should be a consumable with a few uses per slot, so it can then be used from the inventory, like ammo boxes.
