The lightning rod

The chant is written by Yomuntai.

As he swings around his duel zorens at councilor Vor, the Volt piloting Tenno speaks the following chant :

There is no rain.

There is no wind.

There is no warning.

There is only a crackling.

I am the spark from the corner of your eye.

I am the flash from the dark.

I am the Storm.

He speaks it aloud with a sturdy voice filled with confidence and pride. He slashes off Vor's arms and legs. The now incompacitated concilor drags his blood-spewing body on the ground, crying for help and mercy. But the Tenno had naught to give.

He walks over to Vor, push with his feet on the grinner's side and turns him over on his back. Vor, crying away, lifts his stumpy arm and begs for something the Tenno had none for his enemies.

His voice turns from serious to wickedly insane, and laughs the final words of the chant:

And you are the lightning rod.

He charges up all the crackling energy that his frame can gather, and launches it on the screaming grineer. The electricity pops every vein and both eyes in clouds of shining red, and burns the victim to a smoking crisp.

The Lotus congratulates the Tenno for assassinating the target. She tells him to get to extraction.

He jogs away, satisfied of his work.
