  1. But you’re just so much fun to play with! 😀

I’ve already admitted that I could have done some research before I just naively assumed Revive would continue to work the way it’s always worked everywhere else in-game. If that was wrong of me, then I was wrong, and “so much people” were right to point it out. I do make mistakes, and when I do, I admit them.

But you poked me to get a response, and when I did, you call me “triggered”. You thrive on responses; it’s why you keep trolling! (And here you are, responding to MY trolling YOU! 🤣) But please, tell us all - how “should” your targets respond? You certainly didn’t want to be ignored; trolls hate being ignored. So enlighten us, o sage one: what IS your preferred response to your droppings? 😛

My opinion is that your opinion sucks.

Well, you’re certainly welcome to your opinion. But based on your recent posts, you seem to think a lot of folks’ opinions suck. So I guess I’m in pretty good company.

And as far as not being a veteran? *chuckle* 3500 hours and MR 27 says otherwise.

Thanks for sharing. Run along now.

On the other hand I've seen enough posts by the OP here to know that this guy is most likely just looking for a fight.

Y'know....I honestly wasn't looking for a fight. You're welcome to your opinion of course, and if I gave you that impression, then perhaps I should apologize, because that wasn't what I wanted to communicate. I'm not afraid of a fight, especially when I think I'm right, and my posts will reflect that. When I become convinced that I'm wrong, then I 'fess up and admit it, and my posts will occasionally reflect that as well. But I didn't post tonight to cause a fight.

You can fairly argue that perhaps I should have done some research before I started doing Arbitrations. But is the "drone system" explained anywhere in-game? Nyupe. Is it more complicated than 'Press X and wait', the way Revive works pretty much everywhere else in the game? Yes. It absolutely is more complicated than that. That was where I was coming from when I said it was too complicated. But, as I said, it's fair to say I should perhaps have done my research, and maybe 'too complicated' was a bit strong. I'll take the hit for that.

But looking for a fight? No. I like thinking about things, and coming to my own conclusions about them. I think you all feel the same way about your own opinions. Sometimes that means I don't agree with the herd, and I have no problem being That Guy, who stands up and says "Excuse me, but why?" In this case, why does Revive have to work the way it does? Why isn't it explained, or even mentioned that the way it works everywhere else isn't the way it's going to work here? Is this the best way for this to work? You can argue that this is a better method than insta-death, and that's a separate argument. But the way DE modified the Revive mechanic in Arbitration is not explained, and it's certainly not intuitive. So yes, I called this skunk a stinker. You are welcome to disagree, but that's my opinion, and IMHO it's a fair criticism.

Lots of people apparently complained that the previous way deaths were handled was not the best way. That's the same argument I'm making here, albeit for a different system. I don't have a better solution, which I probably ought to be able to put forward, so that's also on me. But I am absolutely not just posting to cause a fight, I'm posting because it's my opinion that the system can -and should- be made better than the way it is right now.

  4. Just tried Arbitration for the second time, and I'll be damned if I can figure out the revival system. I have no desire to have it explained to me, if I really cared I'd go print out a set of instructions from the Wiki, but from this veteran's POV, it just looks overly complicated for the purpose of being overly complicated. Ran my first one last night, spent more than half an hour running and killing in return for 8 whole Vitus Essences. Overall, a bad investment of time.

I won't be going back. Thought about grinding a Grendel, don't see many out 'n about and now I see why. Sorry DE, gotta rate this iteration of Arbitration a Fail.

By the time I got a single shedu part I made 800 platinum selling arcanes. They are dirt cheap now so I'd say just cash out and buy it. You can basically buy it in 3 runs of murex and selling energize as the shedu is only 50-60p.

Eh, I can count the number of weapons or parts I've paid Plat for on prolly two hands. Don't get me wrong, I've purchased hundreds of dollars of Plat, I've just spent it on other things. For some reason I have that bone in my head that makes me want to grind for things. But DE has to give me a reasonable shot at them, and so far, at least via Scarlet Spear, my drop chances have not been 'reasonable'.

  6. I've now played the event long enough to have earned all of the emblems, and purchased most of the rewards. I say this not to brag, but only to demonstrate that I've been playing the event for an appreciable period of time. It's been enjoyable, although a certain amount of rinse-and-repeat is probably unavoidable. So here's my .02, FWIW.

The only Shedu drop I've gotten is a barrel, and that fell into my lap in the opening hours of the event; nothing in the days since since, and I've killed at least my share of Simbolists. I've been asking in my mission groups, and so far only one other player reported receiving any drops, and he only got two of the parts. Yes, I understand RNG, and I know this is the way RNG works, and there's nothing unusual about these drop rates. I get it.  But grind isn't just about the maths; there are other aspects at play.

Based on what I've read, like the Embolist before it, the Shedu looks to be not worth the amount of grinding it will take to obtain one, at least from an effort/reward standpoint. And I suspect that DE would not want WF to earn the rep of a game whose hardest drops are a waste of time. Seems like the simplest solutions would be to either make the Shedu worth the effort (and thus risk power creep), or conversely leave it as it is but bump up the drop rates somewhat, at least to the point where assembling the weapon seem achievable. Among the players I've been speaking with, most don't seem to feel that it is. Most don't seem to care about it. (A third, less desirable option would be to simply not include weapons/sparklies in the first place that most players will never bother working for.)

At the point in the event where I am now, I'd like a reason to continue participating, but as long as DE keeps making the Shedu parts out of Unobtainium, there's not enough of a reason to grind for them. As I said, just my .02.

  7. I'll go along with what's been said before: find your play style, pick a 'frame that works well with it, and enjoy playing the game while you farm the parts for other things.

I ran with Rhino for a long time early on, because I have no skills, and being able to take great piles of damage allowed me to survive to the end of missions better. Many other 'frames are supposedly very good (Trinity, Mesa, Equinox) but for whatever reason never got me excited. So others love them, and I own them, leveled them, but I don't take them out and wear them very often. One GentleTenno above mentioned his main is Hydroid, and he loves wearing it. Hydroid doesn't do it for me, and that difference between us is just fine.

Over time, as you play through Alerts and such, you will find that some missions can be made much easier if you own certain 'frames - Loki is a great example of this. Being invisible on Spy missions is a YUGE advantage. Do I put on Loki for pretty much anything else? Nope. But I rarely run a Spy as anything but Loki. I also don't run Spy missions unless I have to, because I like other mission types better. It's all about your preferences.

Nova's pretty squishy, so once I built her and maxed her out, I kept her in the barn for years. But recently (again, I have no skills) a kind Tenno explained how to build a Speed Nova, and now I enjoy running Defense missions with her - but as with Loki, I don't wear her for most other mission types.

So find your own groove and run with it, while you farm for parts and try out other weapons & 'frames. While you're doing this, ENJOY PLAYING THE GAME. It's the reason you're here, so don't neglect it.

  8. I was about to ask the same question. I'm also soloing Derelicts, thought I'd gotten pretty good about knowing all the places vault doors can hide, and on a few occasions I've searched (what I thought was) an entire map and found no vault. Do we know if every Derelict mission is guaranteed to contain a vault?

  9. I built a Railjack, but since my clan fell apart a year ago on the Ash nerf and IRL work schedules, it seems like my gunboat will be keeping that new-car smell for the foreseeable future. Now I'm learning about RJ trolls, paying for Archwing-launchers--oops, I mean, paying for Railjack supplies, and this formerly Co-op game which went Solo (for all intents and purposes) a few years ago is now trying to force/entice us all back to Co-op again with RJ. Then there's liches, fishing, Eidolons, Tridolons, Orb-Spiders......none of it has really grabbed me.

Credit where it's due: DE's expanding the game in lots of new directions, and keeps adding lots of new content. Most games aren't doing anything like it. I was looking forward to soloing the ship, but now? ........I dunno.

I'd say it's probably a bug. You should send DE support a ticket.

Just for safety reasons, I'd suggest you take a look at your roster of frames again and make sure you somehow don't have a duplicate, brand new, unleveled and unforma'd Nekros.

That is exactly what happened. Feeling stupid, but relieved.

  11. Suddenly my 3-Forma Necros Prime has no Formas, no skins, no mods, no colors...? WTH?

I didn't think he was one of the re-works, but he's back to square one, for no reason I'm aware of. Wha' happ'n?

EDIT: Never mind. Apparently I have a second Necros Prime that I built -for some reason- and then forgot about. Duh.

I think you mean Mire as Bacon Sword...

Yes, that was my reference. When the Mire first dropped, players started calling it the Bacon Sword because it's default coloration and 'melted' lines (compared with the more geometric lines of more typical swords) brought the idea of a cooked slice of bacon to mind.

  13. I've noticed these have started showing up for completing 3 of certain missions, and which allow you to then play an extra mission.

Do these do anything other than that? Or are they just incentives to get Tenno to play Invasion missions (which I guess the rewards alone weren't accomplishing)?

Seems like you get one, you use one, have a nice day. Am I missing something?
