So DE has set it's eyes on Venus for the next open world expansion. I can't tell you how excited I am to see new corpus buildings, maybe some out door areas mixed with indoor areas. I honestly think I would expect to see an open world made of corpus buildings. The reason why I say this, is because Venus is not cold like it shows in the game. It is extremely fking hot, since it's close to the sun and all. There is no way Venus has an atmosphere and no way it could ever maintain it. If they made Venus an open world area without many corpus buildings then there will be a serious problem.

Are the corpus being burnt alive out in the open, Would WE be out burning in the open. Do new players like to be burning out in the open. IF no one is dying of heat, then why is anyone alive on this planet. There are some major things DE would need to consider. Instead of Venus having snow and lots of cold rock is should look more like this:

    10.jpg

As you can see it is barren, dry, and looks way more like current mars. When making this planet you really need to consider why you originally designed Venus to be more like Earth in the mountains. There are even plants growing their too. I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure plants to grow here. Anyway just though I'd share my thoughts upon this. I can understand why DE would make it so the heat doesn't actually matter in the end, but it could make for some interesting environment effects, as long as it is not radiation based.

Please make sure this planet looks how it should. That's all I ask.

Pretty sure Venus does have an atmosphere.

    MELEE 3.0

I know it is a shooter not a slasher or action-rpg, tho I still want want DE to futher develop the melee system for the players like me that most of the time prefer melee over guns

You might say: "Well, why don't you just go play For Honor or Dark Souls pvp then?" Well, that's what I can do also but I do however want WF to have that system also since it has the potential and need for that system not only because it is a reasonable step forward but a must for the game about space ninjas (this one is kinda subjective but whatever)

Yes as if now it is much easier to kill mobs using guns but I feel like there could be bosses or mini bosses that can be killed (or damaged to the point where the guns will get them bc the boss simply dodges any projectiles and immune to WF abilities due to being too badass at the first stage) only by using melee at first like in this case for example maxresdefault.jpg

I like the idea of a boss that can only be damaged VIA melee and would like improvements to the melee system too. I'm not sure how that image from Gantz: O serves as an example though. That boss required serious teamwork, surprise attacks, and unrelenting firepower to barely beat it.

1:The man in the wall is just a figment of out imagination. It is just the evil inside of us.

This is what i believe it is. I don't necessarily view it as evil though. I look at it as the shadow aspect of a person's consciousness. The subconscious and repressed side that harbors the things a person does not actively think about or wants to acknowledge about themselves.

It fits with several lines Teshin says in The War Within, and the entity makes itself known at the end of the quest. A line i find particularly interesting is the "Margulis lied to you, a lie of omission. She did not cure the Zariman children - she erased them" line. I think Margulis attempted to 'cure' the children by partially repressing just enough of their memories to make them forget some of their powers, so that they would be less dangerous to be around. The memory repression that Margulis did probably resulted in their Void-manifested shadow getting buried as well, which resurfaced once they regained their memories. All speculation, but those are some of my thoughts.

Some boring people don't like Dark Souls invasions I see. Some people need to fess up and stop using "harass new players" as a scapegoat for fear of their own egos being bruised, as if there are not already measures against repetetive invasions of the same person or opting out measures anyway, Not like a new player is going to be any better against regular AI controlled god mode Stalker either way though. So what next? Invocations of "think of the children"? We need more inflated excuses for "no fun zone"

I partially agree that some people are using "new players" as a scapegoat for their argument against this feature. There are already countermeasures against new players encountering AI Stalker, and no one knows what further tweaks DE plans to make to the mode before implementation. Hell, getting attacked by Stalker and dying only puts a person into bleedout, so friends can revive the person before they use their own revives, which they have 4 of per mission. Stalker is immediately forced out of the mission when killing the mark, so it's not like they can stay around and harass someone until all revives are gone. Stalker also can't spawn into a mission when extraction is available.

According to Prime Time #173, Stalker mode was only for fun for Tennocon. There is no real intention to implement this mode into the game.

Wrong. They pretty much said they are putting it in the game and plan to showcase more of it in the upcoming devstream. I assume this means they will tweak the mode to make it less harmful(not that it really is, except for the trolling parts).

The self-inflicted delusions toward DE and this mode is saddening. People are twisting the words of Reb's statement on prime time, claiming they said it will be 'no consent' when implemented, or just generally stating the complete opposite of their intentions. Then you have the anti-PVP crowd ignorantly upvoting statements that clearly hold false information, just because it is anti-PVP. This kind of blind support is zealot-like behavior. Doom-and-Gloom and fearmongering is a tool for those with a weak, lazy, or selfish argument/position.

It is possible to clean up issues in the mode, so make suggestions for that. Don't cover your ears and eyes to suggestions/solutions to scream 'lalalala i can't hear you' just because you're afraid it'll have rewards or perks you might want.

    PvP exists.
Those players who want to participate - do.

What benefit is there for dropping a predatory PvP encounter into a PvE-by-choice mission?

Yet another reason to stick to solo/inv only.

PVP exists and gets boring like PVE content sometimes. DE adds more PVE content, they can add more PVP content. Some people like the hunting-style PVP that is seen in games like Left4Dead, Dead By Daylight, Evolve, and ETC.

DE needs to get rid of trolling aspects of this and make it a opt-in feature. As an opt-in feature, that means only the people that actually want to experience this type of feature can enjoy it.

The benefits for killing the player-controlled Stalker should be good since the risk/danger is significantly higher against a human controller.

This is the first time I've seen someone mention Ballas talking to the Orokin Council of Executors. In several of the recent Prime trailers he appears to be doing just that and, perhaps it's just me but he appears to be becoming increasingly jaded towards the Orokin. In several of them, particularly in the Oberon and Valkyr trailers where he seems to be regarding the Orokin way of life as inevitably leading to self-destruction.

From Oberon Prime Trailer: "Greed and denial will seduce any destruction... even our own. We're blind to future consequence..."

From Valkyr Prime Trailer: Starting with "Our long deathless winter has left us numb..." and ending with "... That is why they will destroy us."

    From the War Within:

    [Spoilers]

We know that the miracle of Orokin immortality required the sacrifice of others in the Yuvan Theatres as part of their Continuity.

    [End of Spoilers]

For this reason I think there is a cause to believe that Ballas is possibly talking to the Orokin Council of Executors. It is entirely possible, and from above seems increasingly likely, that after Margulis' death Ballas has started to become jaded with his way of life and is coming to the realisation that if the Tenno are to survive the Orokin must die. Remember, the Tenno are the last of Margulis that he appears to have left, their destruction would be the destruction of what little he might have left of her. So the "miracle" of the Tenno surviving the Old War would require the sacrifice of the Orokin.

I can agree with this. When reading the Detron Crewman synthesis imprint, i got the vibe that Ballas tricked the other Executors into going along with the proto-Sentient plan, to spite the Orokin Empire for Margulis being executed.

Basically, i'm just saying i can believe a theory, if it is sound enough, that states Ballas got tired of the empire and wants it to end.

Is this invading Stalker scannable? I'd love to help defending our hosts against each other, if it's a chance to grab that last codex scan of non-shadow Stalker. Probably the rarest enemy in the game at this point, unless you get lucky with a new player.

Good question and good point. This would allow the regular Stalker to be scannable more frequently.

You must have missed the boat man, that Simaris' Entry you mentioned confirmed that the Orokin in some way shape or form are Ancient Infested a l o n g time ago, haha.

No, it didn't allude to the Orokin being Ancient Infested at all. It basically points out how the Lorist becoming Infested is what created Ancient Healers.

I have an issue with the way Ballas was shown. I mean in the Ancient Healer synthesis entry describes the Orokin.

Same in the Guardsman synthesis entry. When the pirate-orokin showed up, his description was that "His symmetry was off and his eyes were dull." Same with the Ordis Fragments.

This tells me that the higher rank Orokin were unnaturally beautiful by the standard of that era. One of the qualifications of beauty being symmetry. That thing that was shown does not feel symmetrical. Granted Ballas is an Executor, and that class is just one step bellow the actual Emperors of the Orokin empire. Executors basically dealt with the day-to-day on behalf of The Seven. But still, when I look at that description, I do not feel like that is Orokin. It's some abomination set up on a pedestal as a freak show entertainment piece.

I suspect that Alarez(pirate) wasn't even an Orokin to begin with. If he was, he was extremely low in rank. I base this on Bilsa not recognizing him, her surprise at how he was even able to use the Executorial Frigate ship, or even knowing where he was from before Veytok killed him. He was an opportunist that saw the fall as his way of claiming control of the system for sure. He was definitely collecting high-rank Orokin DNA as a way to give himself the power to operate their locked tech.

The only mention of Emperors are from Stalker's codex entry IIRC,  a deranged individual, and that probably refers to the Executors. Nothing in the lore suggests Ballas or his peers are beneath anyone. The Executors are The Seven based on context of all their mentions, and The Seven are the rulers.

Besides I would love to fight a warframe as boss to get its parts like I mentioned before your post.

I always loved to fight Stalker to get his stuff.

Just imagine, you going on a Lua tile and there an open arena on the end and the umbra version of the warframe you are trying to get is there on the middle, just like Devil May Cry when you fight your brother on a circular arena, but in a knee position, an awesome dark music starts and the umbra gets up ready to fight.

Oh dear... I lost there for a few moments.

I imagine it more like the battle with Lingering Will in KH2, with Umbra in the ruins of Lua somewhere. Even better since Lingering Will is simply armor with the original wearers mind/hate trapped in it.

The Core gameplay does lack challenge, and that's a problem.

However, allowing invasions will do absolutely nothing whatsoever to fix that, and will merely introduce the new problem of newbie players getting harassed through PvP invasions from toxic veterans.

It definitely does lack challenge, and it is a severe problem. I was genuinely let down by Nox as a new enemy unit. Hopefully, the Corpus Spider Proxies and Grineer Ghouls have some mechanics to fix this problem.

Invasions is a tricky but possible thing. Biggest negative i can see against it is that it is PVP, and by being PVP, people would be against its implementation regardless of whether it is optional or not.

If there is one thing I've learned with this community it is mostly about 'me! me! me!' when it comes to content.

completely agree. Dark souls is not a good comparison, because dark souls is a hardcore game, whoever decided to actually go through with it is already a hardcore player. When I played Dark Souls, I expected that level of difficulty, but warframe is not, never was thus their player base is not a hardcore themel

Warframe's difficulty being a challenge to obtain is thanks to a vocal faction in the community and their adamant resistance toward balance+challenge. If content happens to be introduced that forces someone to not rely on their crutches/metas by rendering them useless, people will lose their minds. Universe forbid introducing the possibility of mission failure for anyone but uneducated new players. This whole inferiority/superiority complex that festers within the community on both the PVE and PVP side is nauseating.

Not sure about the Tenno maturing, but Steve had much to say in a recent interview involving Tenno combat in Plains of Eidolon. I'll copy the Tenno bit, but here's the full article itself: http://www.mmogames.com/gamearticles/warframe-plains-of-eidolon-interview-steve-sinclair/

During the day the plains are accessible to anyone but powerful beings come out at night. What type of requirements will players need in order to have a chance against these Spectral Sentients?

The design for it is kind of out there. During the day, new players come in and experience the landscape features, fighting Grineer camps. As the sun sets, the half-destroyed ghosts of the Sentients emerge. They’re a multi-stage boss battle. They have very specific weak points and abilities. Our design for that is that you need to be very deep into Warframe. You need to be ‘War Within.’

Without going into spoilers, but there’s a specific type of character that emerges when you get that far into the game. That character, when we have Plains of Eidolon, we actually be able to weaponize themselves and build armor from these same monsters they’re fighting. What’s interesting about that is the Warframe becomes almost like a tag-team with this character. It’s very high-end play. We’re here at TennoCon, I’m meeting all these players who’ve been with us for four years. We really kind of owe it to them to give them a crazy challenge they’ve never faced before.

Sounds like the Operator will be able to build armor from Sentient remains. Also sounds like the Warframe will be fighting alongside the Operator.

I do agree though. This isn't Dark Souls and if people dislike PvP so much as they do in this community, why on earth would they want this form of PvP instead?

Because it would be fun for the people that would be into this type of thing. All they have to do is make participating optional to stop the complaints and balance/tweak more aspects of it.

My apologies but where did you get the information than Umbra is from dark side? Except the fact than stalker is using excalbur/excalibur umbra model and edgy propaganda. there is nothing that confirm Umbra is an "bad/dark side/ evil" warframe.

That statement combined with other words/answers given about Umbra, DE's shift to a darker narrative regarding Warframes/Tenno, and ETC support Umbras being 'dark' frames.

    46 minutes ago, yual said:

Finally , I dont think DE will make Umbra or his influence as a moral choice because it would be disadvantageous for those who have made the wrong choices

Umbra being tied to the moon side of the alignment is player speculation based on what DE said about Umbra not being available to everyone(can't find the devstream this was said in, but will link it if i find it), and DE's plans for alignment determining what you can access:

    33:33 to 34:30

Keep in mind that current alignment won't be permanent, so you will be able to shift its position in the future.

We need a way to power up the operator.
You press 5 - and you feel yourself weak

Feeling weak outside of the Warframe is kind of the point, but i do agree to an extent. I think the Operators should be glass cannons, be able to dodge roll without energy(my biggest gripe with them), and ETC.

CoH has peaked my interest in Stalker and this thing we learned about fractured transference (which Rells was the same as Stalker they go black exhuming black smoke with the orange energy) seems like Stalker might be in the same boat, lost his body and is trapped in the Excal frame due to overexposure to the void for not going into cryosleep like the other Tenno, Umbras might just be Tenno that lost their physical bodies but decided to stick around. I remember te acolytes called stalker undreaming  as well mmmm.

I think Umbra will be Warframes corrupted, and possibly possessed, by a Tenno's negative emotions that have been manifested by the Man In The Wall. I think it is also possible that all of the Acolytes belong to Stalker's Tenno. Each Acolyte is named after an emotion, and with what we saw in Chains of Harrow, It may even be possible that the Tenno's fractured mind is possessing the rest of their Warframes.

That line about Stalker being undreaming:

"The Shadow is pure, undreaming, untainted."

On a slightly more horror-based path, it could be the sound made when someone/something knocks on a window/door. Not as a signal, but when a [predator] is checking for prey (which, in this case, is us).

I agree. The number of sounds/knocks made are typically associated with dark/demonic entities as well. Hearing 3 perfectly timed knocks at night, receiving 3 perfectly lined up scratches, and ETC. I'm sure many of us heard of the the Witching Hour as well, that starts at 3am and ends at 4am, said to be the time in which demons/dark entities have a stronger influence.

The shadows and silhouettes in the trailer look decidedly human, and not warped by infestation. Perhaps he has been preventing "void seepage" this whole time.

This is an interesting line of thought because i feel like it can be speculated on in some interesting ways, with what happened at the end of The War Within and the voice.

The Void is described as another reality, and perhaps in that reality, the things that aren't prominent in the 'default' reality are mostly expressed there. Perhaps the Void is something like a mirror where the other side is allowed to exist. Maybe whatever the Zariman Children experienced cause their Shadow to be expressed in the Void, so it is no longer bound to their subconscious mind, in order to mirror their conscious mind. The Shadow becoming an existing entity with a connection to the other consciousness, but it isn't quite whole, so it tries to get into the other reality's body.

I'm pretty much making the assumption that the voice was the Tenno's Shadow, that until recently, only remained trapped in the Void and used the Warframe as a medium to interact with the plane of existence that we are familiar with. I'm really excited to see what this quest really has in store.

It could look like you are baiting void_glitch to type some kind of culpability statement  when DE is threatening legal action.

That would make sense if DE was on the fence about punishing him and haven't acted. Seeing how they already have done something as punishment, it would be pointless for me to make an attempt like that, right?

I simply do not like how people blindly vouch for a guy who was clearly in the wrong, all while he claims to be innocent and not responsible for things he did or influenced directly.

All DE really needs is proof that he broke their agreements that are detailed in the Terms and EULA to issue a ban or punishment. He agreed to it like everyone else that is playing Warframe, so he is subject to it like everyone else, if he wants to enjoy Warframe's content.

Again, i appreciated the drop rates and drop locations he provided. However, that script leak and other things that didn't bring about anything good, combined with his unapologetic attitude in Discord+elsewhere, does not make me feel sorry for him in the slightest.
