Appreciate the Hotfix as always (especially with the mission reward bug), but uh.... 12 Hotfixes and still no fix for the Scorch bug.

    Proof it was passed on:

Oh my, yes! This NEEDS to be fixed. I've been killed by these bastards from behind multiple walls. In fact, I've been killed by them before I even hear them. I'm pretty sure they can basically hurt you through anything and from any direction, as long as you're inside the range, you're fair game. It's madness!

I sometimes wonder whether the game would be better with a sub. If, and I stress if, they reduced the grind, I would pony up.

To be honest, I would too. This is probably the one game where I would pay a sub. I guess that's kind of what prime access is, but it just feels worse because of how expensive it is. Really though, it's better than many other MMOs. Prime access only changes about every 3-4 months it seems. MMOs generally have a $15/month sub, plus the base game, plus expansions. Something like WoW was $40 base (originally) + $15/month + ~$40 for each expansion (cataclysm was more I think, like $70) if you bought them when they came out, which ends up being $270 before the sub cost, which for, say, a year and a half (how long I've played Warframe) comes to $450. Granted, the expansions were spread out over a longer period of time, but then the total price would end up being much higher. For Warframe, if you had bought every single prime access, it would end up being around $1,400, but there's really no need to do that unless you really want the prime accessories, which you could just buy the accessories pack. So idk which would be better. This way we can at least choose how much we pay, but the grind is still pretty painful, though I've heard WoW has pretty painful grind as well.

This is Business Model trumping fun, period. If it were just Kavats, it might not not be so bad. But it's not.

This is a trend now. DE has become so laser focused on selling plat, that almost nothing in the game is Fun to get by just playing.

It's become a contest to see just how inconvenient obtaining stuff can become on the one hand, and just how much we will tolerate to avoid paying on the other.

The problem is... middle ground is fading fast. There's not much, for vets, to obtain in a varied, enjoyable manner. Just endless grind, or buy plat constantly.

Vets need fun loot too. And right now, that's lacking.

My guess is not enough people are buying cosmetics or prime access. That's probably why with the new market rework, they put the plat option at the forefront and the credit option was less than obvious. Free-to-play can only take a game so far. Subscriptions bring in consistent revenue, but for a game like this, once veteran players have everything they want, there's no more revenue coming from them, so they have to introduce more stuff to get them to continue to pay up. I don't like it, but that's the nature of free-to-play.

A suggestion: can we get Kavat Genetic Codes as alert rewards? Or, better yet, bundles of the code? Because it's nearly two weeks into SotR, and I've yet to get a single one and the temptation to just use plat is real. Plus, we already have Kubrow Eggs as potential alert rewards.

Plus, Kubrow eggs pretty much drop like candy in comparison. It's really not difficult to get them, and you only need ONE as opposed to TEN. Honestly though, I'd just be happy if they got rid of the stupid pug head option, as I've now wasted 4 cores and 40 genetic codes on 4 ugly &#! Kavats that are never going to get used. I wouldn't dare show their ugly mugs to anyone else. Still, I agree, it needs to be easier to get the resources needed to make a Kavat.

Also risk of getting a kavat with the hiper derpy face as insult to injury after all the RNG!

Risk? There's no risk, it's a guarantee! At least has been for me. I've incubated 5 Kavats so far, 1 was Adarza, and the other 4 were all derpy pug-faced Smeeta. This bullsh*t needs to change. I want my time and resources back, DE!

  6. Still no fix for: Smeeta Kavats only getting ugly pug face. I've incubated 5 Kavats so far, 1 was Adarza, and the others were all pug-faced Smeeta. I want my resources back, DE. This is BS. You can't expect me to believe that this is the only look that Smeeta are allowed to have, when the picture of them has long ears. I'm not making another Kavat until this is fixed. This is bloody ridiculous and I'm pissed.

  7. Okay DE, now I'm annoyed again. I just did 3 Lunaro matches, did absolutely amazing in them, completed my daily challenges, and guess what...none of it counted...NONE OF IT! My challenges still show as unfinished, my standing is still where it was, and my weekly challenges are unchanged, and may I remind you there's less than 2 days to complete the weekly challenges and I've worked hard to do so.

    Yeah! I said you're right...

Sorry, I probably should have made it more clear. I was just clarifying my last comment to make sure DE didn't read your comment and think "oh, it's a W10 problem, so we don't have to fix it". Not that I think they WOULD do that, but I wanted to make it clear that this is an issue and they need to fix it.

  9. 11 minutes ago, Erebvs said:

W8 still having bugs, don't surprise me w10 too. Lol. But, you're right. Other apps work fine.

I'm just saying that blaming it on W10 when it's been out for a year and is one of the most used OS's now just doesn't make sense. DE and all other developers developing for PC should be testing their stuff on W10 and if they're not, it's their problem, not Microsoft's.

  10. 6 minutes ago, Erebvs said:

    That is a W10 problem.

No, it's not, because many games DO alt+tab just fine. Warframe worked fine a few updates ago, and a number of other games I've been playing alt+tab just fine. It's entirely possible for alt+tabbing to work correctly in W10, and W10 is VERY popular and has been out for a year now, so there's really no excuse for a game that's updated as much as Warframe to not alt+tab correctly in W10.

  11. 2 minutes ago, Geraaltix said:

I had my entire PC crash while alt-tabbing out of full screen mode a good while back (before Specters of the Rail). I switched to borderless window mode, and haven't looked back. It does take your current resolution for the game resolution, so you'll have to be using the resolution you want, but it works perfectly fine for me, and no weird fullscreen bugs from Warframe as a result. I'd recommend doing that for anyone having alt-tab issues.

I would normally do that, but I have a g-sync monitor and end up losing the functionality if not in fullscreen. NVidia has a mode for windowed games, but it doesn't work nearly as well as fullscreen g-sync.

No, I do get my rewards, because it tries to update again and succeeds.

    Still, something that shouldn't happen.

Oh hey, well that's new! It never used to actually retry before, so maybe they actually fixed that dumb bug in a way, though it would be nice just to not see that error at all.

  13. 7 minutes ago, VisionAndVoice said:

That "couldn't ypdate account information" after every single mission is unnerving to say the least.

Ah yes, that probably means you got nothing from the mission. Yep, the most dreaded bug in Warframe history is BACK BABY! (well, it's the most dreaded for me at least)

  14. 2 minutes ago, Biter. said:

Still can't alt-tab in fullscreen mode.

Oh yeah, I was having that issue as well. Quite frustrating. I had to Ctl+Alt+Del instead, and even then it was really fighting me. I've had this issue with MANY games in the past, but for Warframe it's pretty much always worked, so it's more startling when all of a sudden it stops working.

It's been 2 hotfixes now and my cat's head still missiong due to a maturation bug

Hey, look on the bright side...at least you don't have to look at an ugly pug-faced Kavat. I WISH my Kavat didn't have a head, lol.

Speaking of which, DE, please remove the ugly pug-faced head! No one likes it, I repeat, NO ONE LIKES IT! It's ugly, terrifying, and seems to be the only bloody head that Smeeta Kavats every get! If you changed it a little to look something like a cougar head, with the nose being a little longer and the ears pointing up instead of down, then it would be fine, but as it stands, it's just plain hideous! (no offense to the artist that made it, you truly are a master of making ugly faces ;) ) Please DE, I beg of you! I just want a normal looking Smeeta with long ears and a long snout! I've already incubated 5 Kavats (well, one is in the cooker now) and the 3 Smeetas I've gotten have all been pug-faced!

  16. Very nice hotfix. Looks like lots of bugs have been fixed. I know that invasion escape pod bug was getting pretty annoying the other day. I should have only had to do the mission 3 times, but ended up doing it like 7 or 8 times because the pod kept getting stuck.

Oh, btw, I noticed that at some point DE snuck in separate key bindings for Lunaro. They're all the way at the bottom of the key bindings screen, but they're there and the work! I now have "Use" mapped to "E" again! It was so annoying having to remap it just to dash, and having dash mapped to "E" without any way to change it was just horrendous. I can now play Lunaro properly now and I'm happy :)

One thing I would like to mention though. I was playing a couple archwing missions the other day and I'm really not liking the new flight model. It could work with some tweaks, but as it is, it's ridiculously hard to control. There's no good way to stop anymore as pressing "S" causes the archwing to move forward and start to make a turn. It's like in many third person games where you press the opposite direction and instead of your character turning in place and then moving that direction, they instead move in a semi-circle until they are finally facing that direction. This wouldn't be so bad except that the new momentum causes you to then start drifting in weird directions. Basically, your only option for stopping is to just stop accelerating and hope that you come to a stop in the right place. This becomes very troublesome when it comes time to extract as the extraction area is so small, it's very difficult to actually stop in the right area. Also, the momentum itself is pretty annoying, especially when moving through tight places. I felt like a pinball with the old flight model, constantly bouncing off things, but at least I got through. Now I feel like a bowling ball. I still constantly run into things, but now it's incredibly difficult and slow to correct and move on. As I said to my squad, this new "six degrees of freedom" doesn't really feel like freedom, and it doesn't, it feels slow, unresponsive, unwieldy, and clunky. Oh, and I didn't even mention shooting in the new system...it's bad, I mean REALLY bad. Why are my bullets shooting out of the barrel at a 90 degree angle? It doesn't make sense, and they seem to not always shoot in the direction I'm pointing either. I personally liked the jetpack style movement of the original system where we actually had the ability to strafe around while still pointing in one direction. The new system is just too difficult to control. And no, it's not that I'm "just not used to it", it's just clunky and doesn't work for the type of levels archwing has. This movement system was not designed for use it tight environments or fast paced combat. I like where you guys were going with it, but I think we need strafing back. I don't think it would be difficult to do either. Just make it so if we point forward (W) we use the "six degrees of freedom" model, but if we press left (A), right (D), and especially back (S) then we can strafe around. Even if you just allowed strafing when we are aiming (RMB), that would be a step in the right direction, though that wouldn't fix how terrible it looks when we shoot when flying around (seriously, did you guys test that? My gun is almost never pointing in the direction the bullets are going). Please have another look at this. Archwing really needs some help as it's not a very popular mode. It's fun when it works, but it needs some love.

  17. STILL no fix for: game breaking progress hindering bug in Invasion missions in the tileset where you have to enter the grineer pod that takes you to the corpus ship. Nearly every time we enter the pod and press the button, nothing happens. It just sits there forever and doesn't continue on. Oh, and if the host leaves? The game freezes up completely during the host migration, probably because it's in a bad state and doesn't know how to handle the migration. Please fix this DE, these missions are bugged so bad that people are having to run them probably 3-4 times as much as they normally have to to get the reward, and we don't have time for it.

  18. Is anyone else getting an inordinate amount of pug-faced Smeeta Kavats? I've bred 4 Kavats so far, 1 was Adarza and looks fine, and 3 were Smeeta and ALL had the ugly as hell pug-face. It's getting ridiculous. I don't have the time or patience to keep breeding these for the slim chance I might get a decent looking one. Has anyone actually gotten a decent looking Smeeta? I'm just wondering if I should even both breeding more if they're ALL going to looks like $#!+.

  19. Still no fix for: Every Smeeta Kavat having an ugly pug face. Seriously, I'm 3 for 3 now. I got a nice looking Adarza, but all 3 of my Smeeta have that stupid, ugly pug-like face, and I hate it! No one likes it DE! Please remove that head/ear type. It's just terrible and it seems that it's the most common possibility. I'm getting tired of wasting resources and time on this. The tails have looked just fine, but the face is ugly as sin! It's getting to the point where I'm wondering if it's even possible to get a Smeeta that has a normal Kavat face with long ears. Please fix this, and I wouldn't mind you retroactively changing the current pug-faced monstrosities to something nicer.

    • Fixed an issue with the 1000 Mastery not being rewarded when completing a Junction. If you are eligible, it'll automatically repair on login.

On my map none of the junctions are blue anymore, but when I enter one where I did all the steps, I can fight the enemy but cant activate the beam. Is there a way to track if have done them already?

Yeah, I noticed this yesterday as well. I basically have to remember which ones I've done because there's no visual indicator when we've completed them. It would be nice if they turned a different color or the list of tasks went away or something.

Thanx DE, can you guys please fix melee only missions, they arent recognizing the dark split sword as a melee weapon for some reason. Thank you!

I had the same issue with the Tennocon alert over the weekend. I was starting panic thinking I couldn't do the mission because it was bugged, but it turned out that the Dark Split Sword doesn't seem to count as a melee weapon, probably because of it's type-changing ability. In the code it's probably considered something like MeleePlus or something, and so doesn't quite fit in the Melee category.

Thanks for the tip! :) Though we are multiple people looking for the same thing during the mission we still come up empty so far. when you've done 4 missions and havnt seen any yet, 5 fragments seems so far away...

Dang, well I hope they fix it if it's a serious bug. It would be a shame if fragments simply couldn't spawn there.

  23. 7 minutes ago, Supernoobian said:

On the whole medallion/fragment overlap, I actually had this happen. In my case, the medallion hid out underneath the fragment, and I only found it by pure luck (since the marker on my map from Thief's Wit was also hidden under the fragment marker). It seems the two can overlap, but at least when I did it, they both spawn in the same place.

Oh that's weird. I think it was yesterday's Prime Time, Steve said that they share spawn locations, but that the medallions would take precedence, so they will spawn instead of the fragment should there not be enough spawn locations in the generated level...they definitely shouldn't be spawning on top of each other. Honestly though, I haven't played syndicate missions in probably half a year, so I never would have encountered this.

When will we be able to see Sortie Rewards again?

Also, when will we be able to see what planet has a extractor on it while zoomed out?

Well, the patch notes clearly say that sortie rewards should be visible again, so...
