Tenno have an actual purpose beyond the violence and some know this. Most of all the Tenno themselves know this.

I suppose this is up to the quests to make true.

I wonder, should there be peace, would they cling to their Tenno way of life through warframes, or try to find some way to build a life outside of them?

When the Tenno finally come home, do they take off the uniform, or have they become the uniform? Judging from the quests, I would say the latter.

Well, apparently they're going to age in later quests. Might be Sacrifice is the last time we finish the quest in their present appearance.

I hope they fix the damn eyelashes. Blond eyelashes just look flat out awful.

Also, I imagine the Arbiters of Hexis would step in, since their goal is to try and establish a Tenno society. They'd probably help relocate the Tenno, give them the education, training or retirement funds each one would need to live whatever lives they want. Most would probably end up as bodyguards, police, brokers and the like, but I like to imagine a number would retire from combat and use their abilities for peaceful purposes. For one, a great many Warframes would have great non-combat applications. For example, Atlas and Rhino in construction and demolition. Or Limbo in Academia. Or just Tenno void resistance in furthering scientific development on that end.

You're probably right, but they'll always be Tenno.

I do not think the Lotus wanted to have us wake back into this war, and did not want us to be part of this war, and does not want us to have to fight this war. But this war came for us, and we're part of it now, all she can do is lead us.

But no.... This war was not of our choosing. It's said there are those who obtain greatness, and those who have greatness thrust upon them.... In truth there are also those who have "greatness" come like a murderer in the night, and drag you into madness and death and "greatness" is the only option besides surrender and death...

It is worth mentioning that Lotus might originally have intended to "free" us from these new memories as she did the old.... I don't think that option is available to her anymore as of the events of the war within...

I have my doubts whether the path the Lotus has set us upon will lead us to lasting peace and a return of prosperity.

Being a Tenno is not greatness. Yet I hesitate to call it a curse. They lost all they held dear, and the universe spat them back out, broken, changed, alone. It is neither greatness nor a crippling curse, but it leaves the Tenno as aimless outsiders, to be directed and used as weapons.

  3. 18 minutes ago, (PS4)Echo_X said:

That is likely a large part of why our memories were lost, the lotus wanted to give us back our innocence... Sadly only to have it taken again in the end...

Aside from that ignorance does not always make for innocence, it's rather hard to stay innocent when Lotus sends you out to kill stuff anyway.

So those who will say "they aren't children"... Well they aren't "not children" either.

This was I suppose the biggest part that hurt so much, and still does today... They set out as children, and returned as something else, someone else. The children of the Ten Zero died on that ship.

They've just become desensitized to the violence that is part of their lives......

But not of their own choosing...

As it stands, the Tenno are perpetuating a state of eternal stalemate that gives them a reason to exist, as the Tenno are only really a monastic warrior cult with no real direction but to wage war. We're seeing some development now, but we're still living through it.

The way I see it, they live their lives inside a gilded cage. The Orokin have made them into Tenno and weapons of war, and I feel that they will never be anything else. What they had, what they could have been, has been lost, stripped away in the void and molded by the Orokin afterwards, until only the Tenno remained. Like Henry Ford and his comment about his cars and the color black, the Tenno can be anyone they want to be, so long as it involves a warframe and shooting things. It is all they can remember and all they'll ever be.

Like a tank you only use in war or for inspiring awe in civilians, the Tenno's only alternatives would be to twiddle their thumbs on the sidelines or go back into hibernation until needed again.

They sure also act, talk and behave like teenagers.

Well, they did kind of lose a lot of memories, and that seems to affect personality in at least some of the cases I know of. That said, it seems like over the course of Second Dream, War Within, and now Sacrifice, they've gone from prepubescent, to pubescent, to postpubescent.

Can you switch to another frame?

You're capable of doing that, right?

Sure, plenty of frames I like, but they'll always be secondary to Ash.

be glad you even have a way to opt in. many of us have been pushing for them to remove the "go have a tea break" stuck in animation. if you cant be bothered to use blade storm then press 3 to opt in, you should re-evaluate your priorities.

Currently I can't be bothered to press 4 at all.

  7. I think fatal teleport is interesting, but it uses the same old same old backstab animation. :/

As for Bladestorm, I end up having to spam my 3 every time I use my 4.

    Edit:

-He's got synergy with any slash based weapon.

I honestly cannot tell the difference between slash with Ash and slash with any other frame. At all. So much for synergy on my part, I suppose.

-He's got one of the best defensive abilities in the game. Period.

Which is? Smokescreen? I like smokescreen. Pretty much the reason why I started playing Ash. Don't use it much other than to help teammates or to just vanish and make my escape.

-He's got trash clear and GREAT additional dps.

Bladestorm was nice. Shuriken is nice too, I suppose. Not a fan of dps, though.

-He's got high priority target one shot potential.

True. I just wish they'd used his bladestorm wrist blade animation for it, instead of the regular backstab one.

Something I didn't notice until I started playing other frames again. Very nice.

Can't be assed to give up a mod slot for that augment.

    Pretty much all I do.

What more could you want in a single frame....?!

I used bladestorm to take a very short break from the action. Now, I can't. I have to spam my 3 at the marked enemies in the hope my "holograms" don't beat me to it. So what more could I want? An opt-in toggle so that I can go back to the way it was before.

He's so top tier right now! I'm over here worrying about nerfs.

He's never been top tier for me. Mid tier at best.

Not to be a you know what, but honestly, what do you have?

If you use a bow you should have a Dread or Paris Prime. Which are Sortie Viable.

I have Paris Prime, but haven't used it much. Incidentally, it's also one of the few weapons with a nice crit chance from the get-go.

And considering everyone loves sharing videos

    Spoiler

While not absolutely terrible, it's not good either.

I do Adaro Exterminate with Ivara and a melee weapon. Just go slow, and it can be done with little problems and no alarms. Make sure prowl is up at all times.

    Don't have Ivara.

Even a Soma Prime with no Rivens is Sortie viable. There are many Sortie viable guns that aren't hard to get or build, such as Opticor, Prisma Gorgon, Telos Boltor, Sancti Tigris etc.

Don't have Soma Prime, Prisma Gorgon, Telos Boltor, or Sancti Tigris...

Sorties, but they aren't common. If you really want a Riven for a specific Weapon, I'd point you towards WFTRADER as I have made good experiences with that site. An unrolled Riven for not meta weapons costs 20-40 Plat which you could easily get by selling Prime Parts.

The Kuvalottery is another thing... I have Rivens I rerolled 40+ times just to get the Stats I wanted but it greatly improved the performance of the corresponding Weapon.

As it stands right now, I don't have the means to compete in sorties. Even my fully modded Burston Prime who recently got buffed a little is still trash at lvl 50 and above. As for the other two things, I don't do trading, nor do I do kuva. Not only do I not want to do the kuva thing, once I start doing it, I'll have no choice but to keep doing it to fuel the need for kuva after getting a trash reroll for the twentieth time.

On 1-3-2018 at 6:59 AM, Darkuhn said:

This is sad. What challenge dose the Riven have? Eventually I can give you some advice on how to succeed.

Complete a lvl30 or higher exterminate without getting spotted once.

So far, even with Ash and a modded bow, there's always a single enemy somewhere who noticed something and hits the alarm before I can get to him. So I'd spend 20 minutes slowly and silently making my way through the mission, only for one of the last 20 guys to suddenly sound the alarm.

  11. 3 hours ago, Darkuhn said:

YES I can. Unless you really liked that weapon in wich case you could get a Riven for it to boost it's performance

Where, though? I don't have the plat to buy them off of total strangers, don't have or want the kuva to constantly play the reroll gamble, and new rivens are not exactly easy to come by...

All I got is an absolutely GARBAGE Riven for the Ogris, and the riven you get at the end of one of the quests, which is still locked because I can't be assed to spend 2 hours trying to complete a challenge I've already failed at 6 or more times in a row.

So yeah, I'm pretty much stranded.

Well, that rework got pushed. Like, a lot. For several years now. Not enough people seemed to be stating positives about what it was and that's the result.

Well, while I enjoyed bladestorm, I never felt invested enough to actually defend it. For as nice the break of pace was, the animations were an absolute clusterfuck.

(Not to mention I only visit the warframe forums once every few weeks or so.)

    7 minutes ago, (PS4)CoolD2108 said:

Why staying away? Embrace it. It's two times faster by default and you don't really have to participate in the animation on every occasion ya know.

I used it to a take a very short break from all the running and shooting (and getting shot at). For me, Ash was never about killing crowds quickly.

And considering that bladestorm feels like something Ash is supposed to actively do, I feel lazy letting a bunch of holograms do the work.

I thought Fatal Teleport would be nice, except it's nothing more than the same old melee animation you get on stealth kills and the such.

  13. Just now, (Xbox One)Natfrog123 said:

However someone else brought up a point about it screwing over fatal teleport and I agree with that statement as well. Since Ash now has all this "freedom" but you take away his main offensive ability if you accidently target the wrong enemy.

I decided to try out fatal teleport, and while I think it would make for a neat alternative to bladestorm, the fact that it uses the standard melee animation rather than any of the bladestorm animations is a bit of a letdown.

  14. Just now, (Xbox One)Natfrog123 said:

I'm not sure if I am not understanding your point correctly but you will not need to repeated hit 3 to join in. You just have to press it one time on a marked target while your clones are already out...

Sure, you have to press 3 only once... except you have to press 3 on an enemy which isn't already being engaged. And when the enemies are dying at breakneck speeds, your best chance for success is to spam 3 at all of them.

  15. 19 hours ago, Maka.Bones said:

Ash's 4th now doesn't slow you down. Dude, it's an amazing CC, can be used to clear trash mobs. You can use it, and keep moving. It is INSANE. Have you even played ash?

You know, I don't think I'll use Bladestorm anymore. I liked it before, but now I have to constantly spam my 3 at the targeted enemies just to have a chance at participating in something I should be doing myself anyway.

  16. 10 hours ago, (PS4)Crixus044 said:

Here's the thing with fire rate. Fire rate doesn't just increase damage, it also increases proc rate. So instead of getting 3 corrosive procs per second, you can have 5-6. Per bullet means nothing when you're firing that bullet at a sluggish rate. With my high speed braton prime, I get 4.8 corrosive procs per second. When the enemy has 10k armor, 2 corrosive procs mean more than 25% more damage. Same goes with slash procs. If I can get at least 1 slash proc per second, that means after 6 seconds, I'm dealing 2.45x my base damage as finisher damage per second, which is pretty friggin good.

No wonder people consider guns with 600 RPM or less, less than optimal.

  17. I always figured puncture should be armor piercing, punching through unarmored targets while not receiving any negative damage modifiers against armor. (while the other two do get negative damage modifiers against armor)
