Completely valid complaints about razor gyre goes into complaints about sentient wrath which as a subsume is slightly stronger than roar, one of the most popular helminth abilities in the game, and roar doesn't have cc. Lethal progeny exist as decoys and shield regen totems and any damage they do is extra benefit even if all summons in this game are basically garbage, and they have extra synergy with nourish which is everywhere these days. Fushion strike is his best ability like it or not. Caliban has 190 energy not 150, so put primed flow on him and quit complaining about one of the strongest armor strips in the game even if you do think its "the WORST armor strips in the game". Which btw you are wrong. Firstly your priorities make no sense. Of the 18+* other warframes with abilities or augments that allow armor stripping of some kind only 3 of them have comparative Aoe size, full defense strip, and ease of use/spammability as calibans and they are Pillage, Gaze, and maybe Terrify for it being so flexible a helminth. None of the others come close. You mentioned nyx's psychic bolts as if that's better somehow and I outright laughed. A tanking passive for the whole team, a open helminth slot, a spammable full shield gate, and a large permanent full defense strip with only a 200% strength requirement which is laughably easy and naturally synergizes what you already build on him is at least a B tier frame. B+ if that helminth slot holds nourish.
