I expect the negative opinion to outweigh the others in post like this.

It should be no surprise that there's always going to be SOMEBODY not satisfied. Even if Fortuna was a full fledged sequel to WF with 2k+ hours of content, there would be just as many people saying it's not enough or devs completely missed the mark. You know why? They aren't mind readers and can't tailor make the game to satisfy everyone's personal needs and wants.

They don't have to make everyone satisfied. They just fix and add on to what they introduced and never touched again; archwing, conclave, etc..

A WF with 2k+ hrs of content would be filled with even more resources/ standing to tediously grind, and bad RNG drop tables to keep people playing trying to get that one thing while others get lucky on their first try.

DE doesnt have to read minds..They can just ask for peoples inputs. There are people telling them whats good, bad and what to fix along with ideas; example LifeofRio had great points in his videos on youtube with things about the content drought, or things that DE introduced but just left behind unfinished. DE themselves have responded to his criticisms on his video of "What is wrong with the Warframe community".

They commented "Hmm...maybe it’s the Canadian in us making it seem like we are "too nice" for that raw constructive feedback - but we definitely do get it. But like you mentioned, it is hearing from our community that has helped us craft our game for so long. After all...we all lift together ;)"

  2. There's going to be content drought regardless.

DE doesn't have a choice and needs to keep making new things to bring new players in and make money. Unfortunately because of this the old stuff will just be left to rot after initial hotfixes when that stuff initially released.

I think DE is just going to keep doing the same thing that they have been doing this year. One "big" update for the end of the year and tiny things along the way.

  3. Not at all worth the wait. It was cool for the first 5 min but in less then an hour I got bored of it. It was just Plains v.2.0.

Forced myself  over the weeks to do the bounties, mining, fishing, literal grinding in circles for vent kids standing, etc, just to finish max rep and craft stuff for mastery fodder.

I only liked Fortuna for the neon art. I don't think part 2 will add that much, just to kill the big Orbs by running around the map I'm guessing to take over bases or hack stuff, all to get  "meh" rewards. Or maybe even just Eidolons v.2.0 without the operator.

Im scared Rail jack will just be a new gimmick of some sort. It will be cool for a bit then get bored of it.

DE has a bad habit of releasing new  things then just leaving it after the hotfixes, like archwing, lunaro, conclave, etc...
I know they have to move on to new things to attract new players and make money, but at the same time this makes for more half baked content that just left there forgotten.

Even small stuff like Revenent's sword gets left behind.

  4. I actually just started playing Gara, did a mobile defense and didn't even know the Arca Plasmor bounces from the inside of the wall.

Makes the gun kind of useless with her.

Hope this can be fixed soon.

  5. More quest story missions would be nice...

But if they changed the open world formula to something more innovative and fun besides it being more of the same bounties/ fishing/ mining, then sure I don't mind more of it.

I'm worried about Railjack. While it might be new, and  innovative, the longevity of it highly depends on the gameplay and rewards. Space bounties? Plz no..

But at the same time it takes DE way too long to develop these things and so far the results when they do come out are boredom within the first day... Then it's split between people being bored and people defending DE saying that it's a free game, we are ungrateful, etc..

Also time gate content with reputation makes things worse. I get that DE doesn't want ppl to farm rep so much but how about diminishing returns like they were planning with the focus system.

I would like to see DE release smaller content more regularly or even fixing the things that they leave half baked such as Archwing , Lunaro, Conclave, Onslaught,  etc..

  6. 4/10 for me. Its a shame really, I was hyped about it too. Only reason I don't put it lower is the art style and good environment.

Pretty much it's plains of grindolon 2.0 over again. Yes the bonus bountys can kinda help but the missions are still boring tedious bounties of slight variations.

This isn't even considering the plenty of bugs right now.

But after playing a bit last night I got so bored...

DE needs to release smaller content but on a more steady pace instead of these big ones that take so long. Currently when "the big one" (PoE/ Fortuna) does come after a long wait, its cool for about 10 mins then leaves u feeling like "that's it...?"

I've had a lot of criticisms for the game and I personally will hold a grudge against DE until they give me an Umbra scarf and details toggle.

But holy hell.  Fortuna is a freaking blast.

    • The bounties are active and alive.  They don't feel like the PoE slog.
    • The new Operator cosmetics are all gorgeous.
    • The K-Drive system is a wet dream.
    • The Kitgun designs are actually cool.  Not like the ugly organic Zaws.
    • I want to tranq some critters.
    • The entire aesthetic of Fortuna and Vallis is gorgeous.

I'm not a fanboy, but at least right now I am smiling more than I ever had playing this game.  Is that weird?

Despite the optimization and bugs occurring today, I feel like DE did a lot of things right here.

Its the best update bc its the only update lol...

    • Bounties still feel like a tedious repetitive chore but the "bonus" makes them better then the cetus ones i guess.
    • Operator cosmetics are ugly but some are alright.
    • K-Drive sounds cool but archwings are more practical to get around.
    • Kitgun, yay  more grind... Just gonna wait to see what the best combo is like zaw/ infested zaw.
    • Critters, the footsteps are very hard to see on terrain that isnt snow.  Then corpus show up out of no where, chase the animal away and ruin ur 10 min of squinting of following the footsteps.
    • Fortuna aesthetic is good, I like the neon.
    • Then more fish and mining grind. oh joy..

Overall its kind of meh game play wise.  But its good art wise.

  8. yup I'm in the same boat as the OP.

I expected more from Umbra from all the hype building over years but when you finally play him... he was very underwhelming. Seems like just a excal skin with slight tweaks, even with the new mods.

The quest wasn't worth the wait and hype either. it just seemed to be over so fast, including exploring around. The story didnt give me that OMG feeling at all. Not even at the end with lotus reveal.  It was more like "Oh joy a cliffhanger.... great..... now the super long wait again for the next quest."

The only good part was that we didn't have to grind Umbra and could be built right away.
