  1. Try looking in Recruiting or Relays for players. You can join them and get the parts you need.

There are a lot of ads from new players for:

    Need help with Archquest.

    Be patient.

Also, how are you too far past the excavation part? Is your Archquest gone from your Codex?

  2. I have been playing Archwing since its release as well. I remember how much the missiles knocked you around. Except that it is not the core of the problem, since these missiles tear through shields and health way too fast either way; once you get even brushed by them, you find yourself with no shields and only half of your health left - or just dead on the spot. And hey, maybe you are such an ace of aces that Hellions are nothing to you, but in all the time I have played Archwing, I haven't seen a single player that did not get frustrated (and killed at least once per run) by Hellions. Speaking of which, given their tendency to endlessly spam missiles, if a fellow Tenno gets incapacitated - and that's just a matter of time - only an Itzal has a chance to revive them, by cloaking next to them and then starting to revive them, because anyone else will just get hit by a missile salvo while trying to revive fellow Tenno. But what if the one that gets downed is the only one in a mission flying Itzal? Everyone else trying to revive them will be needing a revive themselves in a moment. If they try to clear out the enemies around, they quite likely won't make it in time to revive their fellow. Then the downed player will have to burn a revive - and you only get four of those per day. So, are they supposed to burn through their very limited revives simply because their team mates have no safe way to revive them? Or what, everyone needs to fly Itzals to be able to revive each other if someone gets knocked out? We should not have to build our entire play styles around an ability to deal with one specific enemy type.

I did a four round run of Archwing Interception on Uranus just minutes ago. Had a full four-Tenno pubby team (since gathering an Archwing team in Recruitment is impossible), and everyone seemed to be flying Itzals and using Velociti (or however you pluralize Velocitus). We made it through without burning any revives, but everyone got downed at least twice at one point or another. Earlier today I was flying the same mission, and half of the team just fled in terror after the first round, because they were not using Itzals and Velociti and got thoroughly clobbered by - guess whom? - the Hellions, leaving one brave soul and very angry me to fight for our lives for another round. So no, Hellions are a menace, an affront to game balance, and all around not fun.

By the way, while I, too, am flying an Itzal, I have been using a Grattler rather than a Velocitus, curious how that gun would fare in high-level Archwing play. Long story short, I used a melee weapon 95% of the time during those missions, because Grattler proved incapable of killing Hellions fast enough. I kept doing the typical Archwing melee flailing, where you hit attack button and pray that it actually makes you dash and hit the thing you wanted to attack, and instead just madly jump between enemies without being able to tell what are you attacking, blinking or cloaking out of combat if things got too hairy. My Veritux was kind of overmodded, so it could actually slice Hellions up pretty efficiently, but it was still down to luck whether I cut them down, or they shoot me in the face with half a dozen missiles right as I'm swinging the sword at them; or, as a bonus option, whether my melee attack would home in on a Hellion that has already fired a salvo in my general direction, and I would uncontrollably fly right through said salvo, neatly collecting every single missile. In this case, no clicking of 1, 2, 3, or 4 would help.

4 Itzals and everybody got downed 2xs?

    Its called practice.

    Ill just leave this here.

    Search Players helping Players section for;

General Archwing Tactics, A How to Archwing Guide, with Videos.

Blinking into enemies makes them stop shooting. Blink towards an enemy. Dont Blink.......... away.

Shoot the missiles down with that Velocitus.

My Guide has a lot more advice for Archwing tactics/power useage/combinations. Power Spamming is unnecessary.

  3. It looks fun, I had to change my pants when I saw Slave I go after the Millennium Falcon. I just hope the fighters aren't wonky like jets in BF4.

I thought it was odd that the biggest complaints from videos Ive seen, are

"yep, its Air Superiorty", "Its a distraction", "needs more things shooting at us or to destroy(like Capital Ships and Frigates)"

Maybe I missed something but not one complaint about the Radar as a 2d effect or the missile warning + lockon. These seem very useful to warframe imo.

I added to my post aboove.

  4. ...it caused little-to-no framerate issues before. Elytron using Thumper ONCE has a bigger framerate hit than this weapon does with max fire rate.

The exsplosion rate(TTK or time between explsosions) inside of 4 players(fully stacked), Thumpers, is minor compared to an Automatic rockets(Grattlers), dps ability fired by those same players.

Im not disagreeing that 25 is harsh, only pointing out a possible reson. Considering we have unlimited ammo in Archwing, it could be an issue.

    I dont know.

  5. 250magazine down to 25 is harsh, if you only see it from one perspective.

High firerate EXPLOSIVE weapons cause Framerate drops, (lag). To balance that, developers put a limit on:

    Bullet speed

    Ammo capacity

    Aoe range

Increasing one of these without looking at the others, is pointless.

Slower fire rate + bigger mag = complaints about TTK.

Bigger mag + faster fire rate = complaints about lag/screenshake.

Smaller Aoe + smaller mag + less damage = complaints about TTK + lag.

Proximity explosives + bigger mag +  high bullet speed + Aoe = faster TTK but more complaints about FPSdrop.

    Can you suggest alternatives op?

  6. Oculata seems interesting but Id have to dub it "Count Chocula", if that was the name for this Archwing.

Im kind of of partial to "Dolomedes" myself. Its a spider that creates a bubble of air around itsself in order to hunt fish and insect larvae, underwater.

Of course this would have a nickname/phrase as well.

    Its alright, its Dolomite....

    :p

  7. Looks nice, and looks smooth to play, although I probably would not be rushing to buy it the instant it comes up, just in case there are any undesired traps and/or major bugs that would end up with more frustration than fun.

Then again, does it have single-player mode? I know the last two Battlefront games do not have a very good single-player mode, but I still like some of it.

Not sure whether it will be available as an offline mode yet. It would be nice but the Fighter Squadron gt seems designed for 20v20 play.

    10 bots per team.

    10 players per team.

  8. Ive seen videos of the Gamescon reveal of this new gametype for Star Wars Battlefront. To me it seems like a mix of Attrition from Titanfall + Vip + Defector.

    20v20 players

    10 AI per team

    10 players per team

Scoring: (I cant confirm this yet)

It seems bots are worth 1 point.

    Players are worth 3 points.

    Shuttles are worth 20 points.

First team to reach 200 points wins.

A powerup system for weapons, boosters and Heroes.(not sure if you disappear midflight, then reappear elsewhere as as Hero.)

That would be exploitable in a dofight.

Radar was a simple circle on the right at bottom. Enemy missile lockons were simply "Enemy Targetting" or I belive, will doublecheck, "Missile Detected", in a small rectagle above the first person cockpit view. I didnt see this during third person in any trailer. Ill assume its there if youre targeted.

Lockon were very simple from what I saw. It allowed for easy tracking of targets in a large dogfight and freedom of movement. It also seemed to increase non missilie fire(lasers, damage and accuracy, while in range. I think, not sure.)

After hearing EA and Dice wouldnt have "Space Battles" they changed their minds.

Its great that EA and Dice deciced to include an Air Superiority Gt for Star Wars, though.

Feel free to leave your thoughts or comments.

  9. Im sorry for the double post and bump, but this is my last post for awhile. I NEED a break.

    My Recommendations for the Grattler.

    Remove Punchthrough, replace with Impact.

Replace Magnetic with Electric that has a high chance to proc a stun effect. (EMP).

Reduce build cost in Foundry by one quarter. (Gallium/Oxium, Idc and dont remember atm).

Adding a proximity effect to the bullets would be nice, but I see issues arising in the future. Shooting pointblank will fill the screen with constant flashing light(Proximty detonations). Players wont be able to see and there are already too many complaints about screenshaking and cant see loot/backgrounds/ai, in Archwing.

    C4ya later people.

  10. Who are you?

Just a gamer who likes to try and improve the games I play.

I think I should be the one asking that xD

Not sure whether to lol or not grizzly.

    You can be, yes.

I can be. Ok, but what about overall?

Right now, Im doubting my ability to continue posting on this or any game forum. Why? Because, my personalty is now in question. This causes me to doubt whether I can make a fair and balanced recommendation of issues that may need fixed, imo.

    Thank you for the feedback.

  11.

Other topics have been minor complaints about specific issues with the Grattler. This one is a complete feedback with all the issues.

You mean topics about the oxium cost? Based on clan size

Or topics about the type of damage? Magnetic v Blast

Or topics about shooting through AI? Possibly caused by Puncthrough.

Or the New weapons Megathread? Those topics? Yeah........ lol

    Youre welcome for the bump............

  12. Because if I understand it correctly, this concept is essentially a Navigation replacement that resembles other space faring games because we would be piloting our Lisets to the missions.

Purposefully or unwittingly, you just described say bare bones, toned down version of a game like Elite: Dangerous or Evochron Mercenary operating within Warframe, which just may be outside the scope of this game, since it is primarily focused on randomly generated instanced missions.

And I don't think we need to take up the Devs time and budget replacing a Navigation system that already works as intended. Instead of focusing on the journey through space, I think we should focus on the destinations in space or orbit or atmosphere or underwater for the Archwings to operate in.

    Bad bad Canadian........ lol

Whether or not you think this is a good idea, don't advertise your concepts in his thread. This is about Jamescell's concept, not yours. You have your own thread for that.

  13. Well see thats not true at all, I don't even often play archwing much anymore.

That being said, I have more runs of corpus sabotage then I do of interception, so you're wrong on that assumption.

Lets see: All the Corvas and ororix parts along with the fluctus limbs/stock and centaur blade.

Intercept has a total of 11 parts while exterm and sabotage have 9.

Except like I said magnetic is a niche dmg type and has far less applications against anything not corpus.

Besides, I wasn't the one contradicting myself with my own logic later on.

No need to get all passive aggressive with me sunshine.

I have no idea why me disagreeing warrants that.

    Oh well.

I Shouldve rephrased my statement about Interception. Not all parts are found in Interception.

How many of your Sabotage runs are farming runs v speedruns looking for parts?

    Blast is niche

    Impact is niche

    Slash is niche

    Corrosive is niche

    Puncture is niche

    Radiation is niche

Yet people mod for different enemy types all day. We do have 3 Loadout slots. I keep 1 of Gas, Corrosive and Radiation ready for my Torid. Im sure a lot of vets have done the samew ith their formaed loadouts. I may use one more than others but its there if If I want to change it up v a specific enemy type.

My Archwing guns have 2 Loadouts. Corrosive and Radiation.

  14. I didn't say it was the only place.

I said its where most of the rewards are and where people go because its normally the more efficient way to level.

Plus out of all the archwing enemies, the Corpus are lucky to get your shields down and the least threatening.

If I ever actually need magnetic dmg I can just mod for it, because its useful in one situation and is a niche dmg type.

Compensating isn't the biggest issue. It just feels silly doing magnetic dmg is all.

Sure you can compensate for that dmg by modding corrosive with the base magnetic, buts its still really out of place.

Also by that logic, your point about blast being bad vs armor (despite being better then magnetic) is kind of null and void.

Most of what rewards? A gun part? Other than Elytron. Name 1 Archwing item that is only found in Interception.

I can tell by your statements. Interception is all you play :(

Null and void because you can mod for corrosive?? Lol have a nice day :)

  15. Well according to what people are saying it is not really an AoE - not not at least. The blast doesn't do a thing if U won't hit your target dead on. It's just a pretty "BoOOOooM!!!" animation. Think of it as actually a cool CG than something that harms enemy ;)

Use the search option. Ive already said the explosions dont happen on impact like they should. Possibly due to innate Punchthrough.

Has anyone tried using the Grattler to shoot down Hellion or Ogma missiles yet?

  16. Hmmm,

    Fully Automatic.

    250 magazine size.

    AoE.

    200 damage starting off.

I think skilled pilots shoulde easily be able to compensate for the lack of damage v armor lol

    I know that.

But Interception is where most of the action happens because of the rewards, not to mention grineer are endlessly more tanky and happen to have all the nodes that have infinite scaling.

For magnetic you have the valocitius or you can chuck magnetic on a imperitor etc.

The biggest issue is that it makes zero sense to have magnetic dmg (the least versatile dmg type) on a HMG firing explosive shells.

Maybe if magnetic temporarily stopped hellions for firing or had an EMP like effect and stunned mobs/disabled weapons for a second or two, then I might be less confused.

But as it stands now not only does it not make sense, its not very applicable to anything thats not corpus. At least the valocitus has insane dmg to make up for it being base magnetic.

    True.

But on a cannon that fires explosive shells magnetic is silly.

At the very least squeeze some facts in there like it fires rounds that emit a small EMP blast on detonation or something.

Right now its just fiery explosions and regular boom boom.

A Minor stun effect might be ok to replace the Punchthrough.

Ill disagree that Interception is the only place to level or get rewards.

  17. According to Wiki :

    AZ3wopT.png

    hOXqNE3.png

So magnetic has -50% against Grineer Alloy armor,    and +75% against Corpus Shield and Proto Shield.

On the other hand Blast has -25% against Grineer Ferrite armor, +75% against machinery,    and 0 modifiers against corpus (so all damage goes in).

I'd rather go with blast. Grineer are way tougher than corpus.

    Hmmm,

    Fully Automatic.

    250 magazine size.

    AoE.

    200 damage starting off.

I think skilled pilots shoulde easily be able to compensate for the lack of damage v armor lol

  18.

Why the Hek is it magnetic dmg?

    That... makes no sense.

    So is magnetic.

In fact I believe magnetic is even worse against ferrite armor with a 50% reduction instead of 25%.

A magnetic proc is also useless against armor, at least with blast it has some minor use on proccing for the short stun.

Changing to blast, fire or at least some form of physical dmg makes a lot more sense and is a lot more useful.

Over half the Archwing enemies have shields. Magnetic is good against shields. Just because a few players spend all day in AW interception v Grineer, doesnt mean  we all do.

    Use the search option lol

  19. As someone who's been using the Grattler:

1: Hadn't noticed the aim thing.

2: Bullets do explode when they hit an enemy, as far as I can tell, but will also explode when they reach ~200m from origin (wiki says max range of 185m). I haven't noticed any punchthrough on them, but I have noticed that they're not perfectly accurate, so many shots miss by very little, which might contribute to 'they're not exploding when they hit.' It might be that it's like an inverted Power Throw - punches through walls, blows up on enemies.

3: No comment on potential Firestorm mod.

4: Damage seems fine; mine's 20, got a total of 780 damage (480 Radiation, 300 Magnetic), takes out Sharkwing goons fairly well.

Optimal engagement range seems to be about 100-150m, and enemies struck by shots at that distance will have explosions around them.

    1) Most good players will immediately learn to adjust their aim. Others will say the gun suks :( lol

    2) Read the wikkia description about innate Punchthrough on the Grattler.

I already stated the bullets will explode upon reaching maximum travel distance. As for an explosion upon impact. Look again, carefully. The bullets are exploding behind a target, not on a target. Also, the enemies dying animations are explosions, in Archwing. You might be seeing that.

    4) 200 damage as a base is better than my Imperator Vandal with max mods :)

Damage can be increased by shooting through an Odanatas Energy Shell. Though range will be reduced when doing so.
