  1. Which is why I don't call Jackal "difficult." Repeating a pattern that's already solved is difficult; Jackal was solved on Venus, now you just repeat the pattern on Circuit. The difference is, he's MUCH tanker, so you're spending a lot of time just to do a small number of repetitions -- the definition of tedium
  2. Definitely useful This not so much. At least not from my perspective, were people really having so much trouble with the laser walls they had to use Z-kid to dodge it? Maybe it's just all the 3D platformers I played as a kid but I don't register the laser walls as a threat that would NEED invincibility And speaking of "were people really?" questions No and yes. Jackal isn't hard, but he can be very unfun and tedious in one specific circumstance: solo Steel Path Duviri if he shows up too early before you get any good decrees. If this happens, get ready for frustration. You have to kill three legs which means at least one hind leg, and he is VERY good at shielding his hind legs. Right when you have a shot lined up, or when you're in position with melee, he can just spam knockdown shockwaves to send you back to square one. This isn't a problem in a squad, but running solo he can focus all his efforts on blocking your bullets while shooting you right back. And early run means fewer decrees means no cheese (like cold procs on all enemies to slow him down + double damage on slowed enemies). Oh, and did you think you could spam Iron Skin or Protective Swarm to cheese him with knockdown immunity? Think again, his stomps nullify ALL Warframe powers and THEN knock you down So to nerf this obnoxious run stapler, they toned down his bullet damage, the AoE size of his grenades, and took away that stupid nullification on his shockwaves
  3. Second time I've seen this, what does Z-kid actually do against Jackal? Because all I've found the little twerp can do against Jackal is sit in Void Mode so Magus Repair (and Void Regen if I'm running Vazarin) until my Warframe is ready to try hitting the legs again Oh I have issues with the Jackal fight, I'll admit it. Can give me trouble sometimes. But it has more to do with the fact that bastard can do a freakin' 720 spin in half a second, so if you're trying to hit the hind legs with a squishy caster frame you're in for a tedious exercise in frustration
  4. Actually on the subject I can't wear any shoulder armor with him because, you guessed it, he's one of the crosshair blockers So just, slotting that in this thread for DE to see
  5. It screws up the snowman in the "winter orbiter" theme and I hate it
  6. Oberon could already heal Lures too Trinity is only bad if you need to get most kills and damage among the squad. In which case yeah she's terrible. But is that really how you want to grade your frames? I prefer to grade frames on a different metric: how well do they do in the Undercroft? If I'm going to be farming Pathos Clamps, how reliably can my frame get me past a random Defense or Assassinate? And by that metric Trinity is doing A-OK. Link and Blessing means that I can keep the pressure off the objective and focus on killing, and I can last long enough to shoot out Jackal's legs (In fact, you know who has trouble getting a passing grade under my system? Nyx. The mighty have fallen out of God tier, there's too much overguard so the enemies aren't being CC'D properly)
  7. I've tried to make modern Nyx work, I very much remember the days where she was S tier alongside Mesa... but the presence of Overguard is just too much. It killed her viability. Too many enemies just not being affected by her powers, which means she's getting shot and dying. Armor stripping is always useful but A) it doesn't strip overguard, and B) her version feels like the worst armor strip in the game: it wears off for some reason, and some enemies will always keep some of their armor no matter how many bolts I hit them with (yes I have enough power strength) And if you're running Assimilate... I mean at that point you're just playing Inaros again
  8. Corpus Ship. I know why they reworked it but I think they went a little TOO far. Like most modern Corpus, they've shifted away from the traditional "penny pinching sheet metal" aesthetic into a more "giant cyber ornamentation" look, which I have never liked as much. Which I could live with, if the giant ornaments weren't SO giant they made the gameplay worse. I mean just look how many people here are complaining about the defense tile
  9. They aren't. Top tier picks are pretty gender-diverse with Volt and Revenant holding their own with Dagath and Mesa. Likewise, the bottom tier is no sausage fest, with Yareli and Nyx struggling just as much as Loki and Inaros (at least, pre-rework Inaros) The one exception is Saryn, of course. She's in a tier of her own
  10. Two problems with this One, EARTH has sand on it Two, Ordan Karris lived thousands of years before Baro Edit: oops, necropost, sorry There's an audio file of Baro's mom dying, and it's the Grineer
  11. Okina Prime! That's a nice one, I thought those old things had been forgotten
  12. Good, because the original Sandstorm was absolutely terrible. Pulling enemies towards you is a GOOD thing (if it wasn't, you wouldn't be mourning the loss of Devour)
  13. If they COULD put it out of their minds, they would happily do so. Remember that different brains work differently
  14. Specifically BECAUSE they aren't that good. Some people want the terrible mastery fodder off their to-do list as early as possible
  15. They functionally ARE Roar. For whatever reason Roar counts as Faction Damage instead of its own separate multiplier
  16. The Twin Gremlins have definitely not been nerfed. Neither has that Riven you're using Something changed in the rest of your loadout. And the most likely culprit is the Relay Blessing expiring. One possible relay blessing is +25% damage on all weapons, which is what you're losing
  17. First step would be to assign a couple missing Signature Bonuses, such as the Euphona Prime and the Afentis (and creating the Euphona Not-Prime while we're at it)
  18. That implies it has any lore at all. Even the wiki can only say that the Helios "appears to be of Corpus origin" but with no confirmation (yes I know it came from the Energy lab; however the Acrid is a Grineer weapon from the Bio lab, so i see nothing wrong with a Tenno sentinel in the Energy lab)
  19. A Murmur Lich should just be Wally challenging us, and the devs should just drop it with absolutely no announcement or showcasing. Just one day, bam, we have it and Wally is taunting us about it
  20. Isn't that the free song that comes with the Somachord anyway?
  21. Especially since Cambrion Drift is tied to the Heart of Deimos quest which only really makes cohesive sense after Second Dream
  22. This is what Fomorians and Razorback Fleets used to be. Each mission completion dealt a tiny bit of damage to the Fomorian or to the Fleet Wanna know why they stopped? Fomorian health was well-balanced, but the first Razorback Fleet died in less than 12 hours. So fast, most players couldn't participate. DE quintupled the next fleet's HP, and that one still died in less than two days. So now both Razorbacks and Fomorians are set to auto-decay. Yeah, we used to have your idea in the game and we were STILL too good and we had to take it back out (There was also the original version of the Acolytes, but I'm not sure that counts. They had a total HP bar in the trillions, but they would flee after a normal boss HP bar of only 500,000 damage)
  23. I'm sort of summarizing. In chapter 4, Dracula kidnaps a baby because he's low on blood (and when the mother finds out, Dracula sics a pack of wolves on her). Later in chapter 18, Van Helsing digs up the attendance records of Scholomance -- a school of magic said to be run by the devil himself -- and finds pretty much Dracula's entire family on the roster
