Hmmm. What's your highest ranked Focus school, and what Focus abilities do you have unlocked?
How mobile are you when you fight the Shadow Stalker? Are you careful to maintain a decent range between you, but not so far that he will respond by teleporting you to him for a finisher?
Do you use lots of bullet jumps? Do you watch how he times his abilities?
Tips for fighting the Shadow Stalker:
- You're more mobile than he is, by far. Kite him around and take potshots at him. He hits hard, but moves slow. If he hits you, back off and regenerate a bit. It's ok to turn it into a drawn out slugging match.
- Avoid melee, with one exception.
- Do not use high DPS weapons to initiate. Instead, use high damage per shot weapons against him, i.e. Tigris, Vaykor Marelok, Tonkor, bows. Avoid rapid fire cycling weapons, especially to begin with, as those will cause his Sentient armour to adapt faster. If you have a Soma and a Vaykor Marelok, use the pistol first.
- Carry at least two different elemental loadouts. Try to have Radiation, Viral, and Corrosive, as well as a blend of Slash, Impact, and Puncture, across your Primary, Secondary, Melee, and Companion arms. Watch for the icons over his health track, they'll indicate which damage types he's resistant to. I strongly recommend packing a totally different elemental loadout on your Sentinel, just to give you that extra damage vector.
- Shadow Stalker says "YOURRR TENNO POWERSSS ARE UUUSELESSSSSSSSS......!!!!" He's wrong. Your Warframe powers are useless. Your Tenno powers, on the other hand, might be very useful. I am, of course, talking about Focus. The Stalker cannot Dispel Focus abilities. Now, the direct actives may not be a lot of use against him, but the passives might just save your life. Vazarin's active can bring you and your companion back to full health, and lend you a little temporary damage resistance. Unairu can buff your armour and make it harder for him to swipe you to death. Madurai can help you deal more damage and hopefully drive him off sooner. I have not yet tested Zenurik's Umbra Lance ability against him. However, the most potent Focus ability to use against him is Naramon's melee tree.
- This, the Naramon critical hit tree, is the exception I mentioned above. If you have Naramon's enhanced criticals and critical hit stealth active, then you can absolutely go toe to toe with the Stalker. Two warnings: (1) His armour will still be in effect, so you'll be whittling him to death. It might take upwards of ten seconds of whaling on him, and that's a long time to be in melee with a single opponent. (2) The Stalker won't be able to see you, so he won't be able to use his fancy targeted kockdown and damage combos on you. He will still, however, know that he's being attacked, and he'll respond by flailing blindly with War. If he catches you with it, it'll still do godly damage, so even with Shadow Step active you can't just face-tank his swings. Stay mobile, hit him from the flanks and behind, don't be afraid to unload a few shotgun rounds into him while you disengage and re-engage.
Fighting him isn't the issue like I said in the first post he doesn't hit me and I don't die to him unless I just give up trying to kill him, I know how to fight him and and highest focus is madurai I think. Like I said though the issue is that I can't deal enough damage to him when he shows up I've got a couple weapons that can deal with him no problem, mainly my tigris prime cuz its damage is dumb and my soma prime because its just about fully built (i say just about because past me was an idiot and did not forma it well). Since I like to level on spy missions I usually just bring my Dread or Despair but neither of them can deal with him on their on in their current state of not having forma in them. I've got no plat so I can't just solve that problem by throwing money at them and I'm currently in the process of building my stuff up because again past me was an idiot and didn't bother doing any of that earlier.

@BornWithTeeth
It's not that I'm trying to kill him or specifically making an effort to do so, I'm just getting sick of him deciding to show up at the worst possible times while I'm trying to level up so I'm not prepared to fight him. I'm sure it doesn't help that most of my weapons aren't fully built and all but if I've got even one of my other decent weapons with my like my vaykor marelok or even my dual toxocist I can deal with him no problem. But the fact that he just pops in to diddle me when I've got just the one weapon that actually does any damage is a pain.

so you bring a low rate of fire weapon that specializes in one damage type while lacking in others aaaaaand you don't get why he's not dying?
lol I know why hes not dying, I bring a silenced weapon becuase I'm doing spy missions and the best one of those that I've got is the Dread

It went a bit like this, mate.
was the the shadow stalker or normal stalker? Regular stalker is a joke at this point but the only thing I've got that can deal with shadow stalker on its own is my tigris prime which I don't want to carry around at all times.

My only problem with that greedy punk is that he never gives me War.
he gave me a war the last time i killed him...absolutely useless to me since I already had it.

bring. a fully ranked. weapon.
Guess I didn't make it clear but I do, I always have my dread on me or some weapon thats not &#! for the sole purpose of being able to kill S#&$, issue with that is he resists the damage it deals after i get him to half health
-
I'm a little pissed about him right now since this is like his fifth time this week popping up and slaughtering me while I was leveling something and I gotta say, while I appreciate that he got the re-work the sentient damage resist bullS#&$ is incredibly stupid. At least with the sentients you know your'e going to have to deal with their S#&$, stalker just shows up whenever the F*** he feels like it and it always seems to be at the worst possible time since its when I'm either leveling weapons a warframe or both. I don't mind him showing up when I'm leveling, or at least I wouldn't if just having one good weapon was enough to kill him, but no he has to have that stupid damage resist mechanic that the sentients have. I've had to just kill myself against him multiple times because it got to the point where I couldn't break his shield at all and he couldn't hit me, so it was either stay in a stalemate for the rest of my life or just give up, since its usually spy missions all I've got is my Dread and some S#&$ty weapons. The Dread can get him to half health in a few shots but after that it gets to a point where I can't even get through his shields because I've got my Dread then some S#&$ty secondary and melee or Despair and a S#&$ty primary/melee. There really isn't a point to this at all I'm just getting a little sick of his S#&$...at least I could kill the normal stalker without having to be armed to the teeth and completely prepared to fight him. I guess I wouldn't mind it as much if I knew I had to come prepared specifically to kill him, but that would ruin the fun of stalker showing up randomly and the only other solution to that is always come prepared, which means never level anything ever again.
TL;DR- I'm being whiny and complaining about damage resist buff on stalker cuz it means I can't kill him if I'm leveling S#&$, and he's always an &#! about when he chooses to show up. Also he has been all over my &#! this week while I'm just trying to get more mastery.

Frames available: Loki/TrinityTimes available: any time after ~7PM EST
Additional info/question: I have volt and nova prime but I just got them so I don't have a potato or forma in them, same for vauban but I'm close to getting his and trinity's prime so I don't want to put a potato in the non-primed version. Also I have done the raid once or twice, but I'm trying to get it done more consistently for the rewards.

So I've got a clan thats pretty big but no one ever really interacts with each other so its kinda like im just not in a clan, also i need peeps to do S#&$ with, specifically raids like JV and law, because my friends are still new and cant even kill alad V and ive got almost 900 hours played....so at this point i just need people that can do higher level stuff with me and will be active, would love if the clan had a discord, but as long as ive got people to do S#&$ with im happy!

I would love to have a group of people to play with! only issue right now is every "active" clan ive joined is basically dead even with a bunch of people online at once none of them said a thing anyway i would love to be able to come and play with some friendly people and hopefully get some actual progress in the game with some help! add me when you can!

In-Game name: Riku0142
Type of player: semi-hardcore
Mastery rank: 6 (almost 7)
Why I want to join: I have been playing warframe pretty much alone for a while now and even though I am currently in a clan they arent on very often and when they are on they don't do much so I am looking to join a large guild where help is always available and there are things to do since I can't do everything on my own! Also getting really tired of not knowing what to do with my time on warframe.
