Except the ability to teleport through gates was declared OP and removed.

But because it's time to sell a new frame, it was okay for that frame to just WALK through?

    Seriously, how is this ok?

I agree that some of DE's changes have seriously changed the game in a bad way.  For instance, on the Corpus spy map where loki could cast his decoy and switch teleport across a gap.  The rules of physics were changed so that he could no longer do this on the first section, yet he could do it on the second section.

Additionally, other cheesy changes like requiring players to manually hack locks for nightmare raids and sorties.  It seems like a cop out to me. An annoyance rather than a challenge.

    btw

You cleared WF OP you should play other games.

I don't believe that DE's goal is to have players hit max rank and then stop playing Warframe.

    Maybe it is?

For the record, endgame is special content designed for players at 'max' power.  Final Fantasy XI did a great job at this.  There were whole new areas that required long arduous quests to get to.  You had to earn it.  It had whole new map areas which were almost as large as the main map.  There were bosses to fight that required 18 people. Some required acquiring certain items in order to spawn the bosses. Some bosses like Absolute Virtue were unbeatable without a perfect strategy.  They dropped really good treasure.  There were arenas where you could fight with 18 people to beat a boss and get a chance to get an item like 'speed belt' which had 6% haste.  Haste was important in FFXI.

Just providing an example for reference.  Not nostalgic, just providing evidence.

Maybe they'll add this, but it's apparent that it is lacking.

there are so many things that need to be done right now in the game. They should reintroduce conficts with solar rails, add weekly PVE quests ( yes conclave youre pure garbage) with unique rewards, add a new raid ( infested raid with mutagen masses in rare containers) , introduce at least 1 MONTHLY EVENT for each platform with unique rewards, listen navigated players before nerfing this and that just because why not, lower the grind wall you set on A LOT of things ( kavat scan, resources with smeeta, focus grind, general resources farming aka oxium problem). Bring endgame content in the game again with multiple rewards each 5 minutes or wawes ( I dont feel rewarded for a bunch of crap relics sorry), time to construct a forma should be 1 every log in and not every 24 hours, give the VOID some importance ( feels bad to see this content just left alone after all the resources you invested in its design). Rebalance all the weapons in the game ( 350 or more guns and 1/3 is PLAYABLE), rework some oold frames, introduce effective weapons in the game , new archwing game mods, introduce syndicates armor sets-companions. Fashionframe is fine but we want something playable and not just pure boredomness...the hardcore playerbase is leaving your game ( speaking of consoles) because nerfs, grind wall intensified, nothing to do.... I love the game but, you need to  tweak a lot of stuff quickly because i personally dont see a reason to play anymore....JUST LISTEN TO THE OLD PLAYERBASE AND NOT PEOPLE WITH 500 hours of play

    Well said.

There's just not that much to do anymore and less people to do it with.

    11. Friends list does this already.  Are you not friends with your clan members?

    11. Add a status column to clan chat indicating the location and mission that clan members are in.

Really? You have a friends window that shows what planet they are on and what mission they are in?

Sorry, I never have a friends window open.

It was all about the clan.

Other MMOs and games have this feature.  It should be in Warframe.

1.b.) Failing to balance the game means that the actual game mode becomes an arms race of cheese and figuring out new "unbeatable tactics" that makes people not want to fight you until they figure out their own tactic that breaks yours. Any PVP-based activity which features player skill against player skill should be about player skill. The intent of conclave stats and conclave mechanics is to make the game about skill and not about game breaking unbeatable tactics. The extent of meta-strategizing in dark sector conflicts should be your defensive arragements.

I'm not insisting that DS conflicts should be unbalanced PvP.  I am saying that they unbalanced PvP competition was interesting with defensive arrangement strategies and should not be abolished.  Make a different reward system for that.  Have none.  It was fun when I did it with my clan.  We weren't competing for DS, we just did it because it was fun.

5.) Sometimes things must be nerfed. Mag's old #2 is a prime example of this, where Mag could literally blow up the entire map (as far as she could reach) with a single key press. This kind of thing trivializes the game to a degree that players don't even need to play AT ALL, just stand on a pizza and press a button occasionally. Trinity's self immolation strategy is another example of blatantly game-breaking cheese that had to stop. You cannot make an interesting combat game when players have easy and persistent access to near-invulnerability from enemy attacks. It's still a good ability, and an effective Trinity is still a massive boon to your team, but it's no longer a one-press win button. That kind of gameplay is boring, it's anti-cooperative, and it gives too many rewards for no effort.  Now, personally I think DE should offer some kind of refund to owners if they change a frame/ability/weapon so drastically that people no longer want it, but to say that they should never nerf anything is unrealistic.

Okay, maybe I oversimplified it, but it does seem like Warframe has become Nerframe.  It's like the developers release everything without actually thinking through or testing the results.  Syynoid Gammacore?  Who could not have predicted the power of that weapon?  Greedy Pull?  Was it released just for fun?  Yes, those needed balancing, but it has become the norm and not the exception.

7.) Tried and abandoned. Arcane helmets were discontinued because it forced players to have to choose between the way they looked, and gameplay stats. Separating the two was the right move.

Maybe it should be revisited.  What if all decorative helmets that you purchased for example, Trinity, had +1 armor?  It's definitlly not game breaking.  It's not play to win.  It just seems that people who pay actual currency for something should be able to have some impact on gameplay.

8.) The old system promoted static, zero-effort "focus soaking" ala Draco.  It was not a good thing. New system gives players rewards for making a minimal effort to get rewards, and seems fair to me.

I disagree.  Focus was capped at 75k per day.  It was not hard to earn that doing regular missions with friends or clan members or PUGs.  Just because some chose to Draco it, should not be justification for completely altering the system for the masses. Draco is no longer the cheesy levelling sector.  It's too onerous earning focus in its current form without any adjustment to the amount of focus required to level.   It's like the rent is too damn high and you get your wages cut.

  6. There are many reasons why I no longer play Warframe.  Many will disagree, but it is my opinion and I believe that it is worthwhile sharing.

    1.  There is nothing to motivate my clan to do as a group.  We have 100% research done and 100% of the colors completed.  I am well aware that DESteve said that clan missions are coming, but it's too late in my opinion.  While clans may be referred to as the "Gangs of New Yolk", I found it disparaging and not worthy of any developer or company to publicly refer to the core players as such.

    a.  Dojos and clans do not appear to be as important as fashion frame or conclave.  Neither of which interested any of my clan members or friends.

    b. The clans have been without solar rail competitions for almost 2 years.  In this timeframe we were informed by a community moderator that they would not be coming back and including any type of PvP.  In my opinion this caused a mass exodus from Warframe and has been a huge problem.  They should bring Solar Rail competition back with the exploits removed. It should have the old unbalanced PvP and not some Conclave balanced model.  Balancing is completely unnecessary and unwanted in Solar Rail clan combat.  "We do not care what you bring to the fight, we will beat you." is a healthy outlook and goal.

    c. The dojo needs attention:  1. Bulletin boards inside the dojos with areas for leaders and members to mark with objectives goals and responses.  2. Trackable donations of any kind by clan members. 3. Increased clan storage allowing for platinum and prime equipment donations with enhanced leadership control over who can retrieve what from the storage.  It should be loot proof. 4. Allow anyone to view their inventory and sell inventory items for credits right inside the dojo.  5.  Allow travel to the dojo as a squad.  6. Allow travel to the dojo from the solar map without being sent to the clan/communications interface. 7. Improve dojo decoration method with a grid and alignment system so that we don't end up with crooked decorations nor have to spend days working on them to get things straight.  8. Add more colors and decorations.  Especially decorations from the Lua tileset.

    2. Improve the DevStreams.  End the practice of clowning around (tickling etc.).  Alcohol is fine.  Talking about nothing while platinum is being given away is a bad practice.  You should just run the randomizer and carry on as if it is not happenning.  Stop wasting people's time. Introduce new moderators or live Skype questions from a real player.  Try to answer the hard questions, not some fluffy questions that no one cares about like which day of the week is the standard release day.  In my 3 year experience with Warframe I have watched many DevStreams and never had one of my questions answered by the panel which I had asked in the forums or someone else asked.

    3. Re-evaluate the method of obtaining Katbrows.  The 10 scans are quite a huge burden and grind.  They seem contrary to the goal of having less grind in Warframe.

    4. Re-examine the level designation of enemies and include all significant changes in the patch notes.  In the latest update there were undocumented changes to the Void where new sectors (Aten, Mithra, Marduk, Mot) contained enemy levels which were listed as 40-45, yet these enemies are tougher than LoR 90-100 level enemies.  While it was nice to see more difficult enemies, the scale of their indicated level does not accurately affect the difficulty of the enemies.

    5. Stop nerfing.  If it is in the game, it should stay that way.  Too many warframes and weapons have been granted obsolescence by the nerf bat.  Players have not been remunerated for their lost investments.  Yes, it's a game, but many people spent days working on modifying and levelling items and spending real currency too forma their items only to have them made useless by developers who changed their minds or were influenced by the salty community.

    6. Add more endgame activities.

    a. Have a new type of tower mission where every squad member starts without armor or weapons or abilities.  This would require the addition of unarmed hand to hand type combat damage. Have players progress through the map and earn the ability to wear their armor and equipment and abilities.  These 'drops' should be sharable between players as it will be necessary for the squad to communicate and determine who needs their abilities first.  For example, does Trinity need to heal, or does another warframe need crowd control?  The goal should be to get to a boss fight at the end where the boss has a small chance to drop parts of artifact armor that can only be used by MR18+ players.  For reference, see FF11 Salvage.

    7. Add some type of attribute to cosmetic armor.  Even if it's +1 armor or +1 health.

    8. Remove convergence and go back to the old model of acquiring Focus XP.  It is far too onerous in its current form.

    9. Add "Vote to Kick".

    10. Add an offline Auction House with blind bidding and listing.  Include historical sale prices as a guide. If there have been no sales, than no price will be listed.  Retain the current trade channel chaos if you like.  I found it to be full of trolls, ripoff agents and generally unusable.

    11. Add a status column to clan chat indicating the location and mission that clan members are in.

    12.  Please allow deletion of notifications in the forums like we used to have.

    13. Lastly, I hope for my friends who still play, or the day I may try Warframe again, (which I probably will), that when the 'damage mods' are removed like DEScott spoke about, that they add that exact damage modifier to the maximum level of the weapon.  Any nerfing or reduction in the damage would not be fair to players.  Certainly DE is welcome to add more difficult enemies and scale damage progression by level, but if damage is nerfed, it will be a sad day.

    Thank you!

  7. I agree with the OP.   Ten imprints wouldn't be bad, but for the less than 15% actual proc rate. You can't even really call it a drop, because that implies that they are held by a mob that you kill and they drop some loot.

    The scanning idea is terrible!

The invisibility of the katbros is beyond ridiculous.

The limited place they can spawn is beyond comprehension.

I tried farming this last night and I went 0 for 3 in OD exterminate.  That's a lot of resources for the OD keys.  I gave up.

You should not be forced into doing this with a full squad.  This is basic level farming.  Yes, it's aimed at mid-high level players, but calculating the amount of katbros in a mission based on the number of squad members is sad.

I'm not opposed to grinding (MR 21).

I am opposed to needless bs like this to earn the ability to breed one katbro.

At least you had crappy stuff for ducats...now you don't have ducats.

They even reduced the amount of ducats that you get for MANY parts, again!

Yes, they made some worth 45 and 100,  but those are parts people sell for platinum and are not spare junk.

Can I get 50 ducats for my hikou pouches again?

If not, can you reduce Baro's prices to make it fair?

  9. Starchart issues:

Personally I do not understand why they changed it other than to get rid of some sectors.  IMHO, it's not an improvement at all. Add junctions? Great. Unimpressed.  Better graphics? I could care less.

It appears that it was designed for PC users. It's not very console friendly.  It would be much easier to use with a mouse pointer.  I know that it's not easy to make systems work for all types of interface.  The old system actually did that.  It worked on joystick and with mouse pointers.  The new system is not an improvement!

Going to the dojo is ridiculous via the starchart.  You have to select the dojo "planet" and then click on the dojo sector.  This takes you to the Communications/Clan menu and you can click on the dojo.  It's the most ridiculous implementation that I have ever seen.  This needs to be fixed.

Having the Navigation always start at one planet is ridiculous.  You are forced to hit another key "B" on the Xbone in order to get to the solar map.  In the very least there should be a way to turn off this default and set it to solar system.  It would be nice to be able to pick your default planet.

The addition of fissures to the alerts menu is nice, but it should be the first tab and not force you to go several tabs over.  I wish the UI was more customizable.  There are extant MMOs where you can move and scale any display anywhere on the screen.  It may not possible on consoles.  It would be nice, though.

There is no way to tell which planets have extractors while viewing the solar system in navigation.  This is a big problem.

The graphics are pretty, but the labels are so small that it really is hard to see.  Maybe there's a font setting where we can change it.  If not, then there should be.

    Relic issues:

My clan had a huge problem trying to do missions and select a relic.

Maybe they'll fix this, but several times we had squad members start the timer where players had not selected a relic yet.

We had problems selecting relics or changing them.  The host seemed to have the most trouble where it would not prompt them to select a relic and placed them in a ready to start mission status.  There needs to be a better way to handle this.

In all honesty, the new relic system is far more complicated than the old system.  I'm not opposed to change.  I am opposed to adding more complexity when there doesn't need to be.

Why does there even need to be names for the relics?  Does it really add to the immersion?  Couldn't they have named them One, Two, Three and Four?  At the very least they could have made an icon with the numbers.

    Market issues:

The search for items does not work.  Search for "kubrow" = fail.  Search for "incubator" = fail.  Search for "kavat" = fail.

There are NO PRICES ON THE ICONS!!  Why not?  This is a MAJOR failure and is worse than what we had.

It feels like a marketing program that was not directed at improving the interface, but on increasing sales.  I hope they look at sales before the change and afterwards and realize that their new interface is causing less players to use it.

Sorry for being negative, but it's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

use recruiting tab and type "lf (syndicate name) mark farm" at least i hope that's how xbox does it -_-

i would suggest inviting them to a chat party. Sure might be awkward but at least you'll get more information passed.

I must apologize in advance, but I'm not sure what your point is.

It appears that you are supporting the status quo and indicating that improving the LFG is unnecessary in Warframe.

No offence, but text based public channel squad recruiting is unacceptable in 2016.

Destiny has a better LFG system.

WoW has a far superior LFG system.

Neverwinter has a really good LFG system.

There are many others that have superior LFG systems.  Warframe needs to change in order to be competitive.

  11. Please ask this question:

Can we get a modern LFG interface? One where we could specify goals like XP farm, find ALL syndicate marks, resource farm, sortie series with gear level requirements, warframe, none or microphone?

It could be an option in addition to what we have now. Honestly, the recruiting channel is full of similar requirements.

It's also chaotic and like BBS bulletin boards circa 1977.

    Thank you!!

  12. It appears that the Spectres of the Rail update has significantly reduced the amount of syndicate standing one can earn per mission. I am aware that they have changed it so that different ranked syndicate players can co-op missions and earn standing. I guess that I missed the announcement about the reduction in syndicate mission experience.

The changes fail to account for the solo player and cases where people have friends in different syndicates.

I would really like DE to address the glaring omission of any bonus for finding all eight (8) marks. In my opinion, there should be a 5000 point standing bonus for finding them all.

I would really love to have a LFG option to match with players who aim to find all 8 marks. It is frustrating to join PUGs that want to speed run the mission and extract while one is looking for marks. This leads players to avoiding PUGs and does not build the community. Maybe in the future?

Adding completion incentives now, would be a good way to encourage players not to speed run and find all marks. In order to be effective, the reward must be significant and substantially more than the normal mission standing that is awarded.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  13. The Gangs of New Yolk would like to know when you plan to do anything for them.

    1. The most important thing that I would like to see is an improvement to the clan chat window which would display members location and mission right in the clan window. There are MMOs that have done that.  It must be possible?

    2. Do we really have to go to the Clan menu to join a member's session?

    3. Do we really need to have a Navigation screen open in order to invite clan members to squads.

    4. Can we set a do not disturb option so clan and alliance members can be blocked from sending blind invites?

5-1000. More dojo colors, squad travel (like the relays have) [Host migrations are really terrible], dojo decorations (can we have some orokin moon decorations?), better dojo decorating mechanics, improving resource donation to allow a person to donate all of a type or all required items,  search inventory in dojo without trade?

1001. Can you address Auction House for offline sales, vote to kick from squad in at least the pre-mission screen?

I respectfully disagree.  If it doesn't work in tight maps, then it doesn't work at all.   The ability to control where you are flying is essential. Having inertia impale you onto objects or cause you to collide with walls or bulkheads is unacceptable.

Keybindings won't work on consoles.  Part of the problem is that their software has to work on PC, PS4 and Xbox platforms.

They already made the update, focusing only on camera position and motion sickness, but the true problem is there's too much INERTIA !

We used to fly like the wind, we used to turn like a lightning bolt... We want this feeling back.

Now we feel like driving a truck, bumping on and on in the corridors of Corpus ships.

It is really remarkable how they take a working flight system and made it worse.

I hope they revert to the old working system where we don't have to fell like we're driving a bumper car.

Six degrees of freedom may sound like a good idea.  In practice, it turns out to be much worse if we are bumping into everything and have very little control.

I am not sure if this has already been posted but.. It would be fantastic if 1. The Warframe did not take up 3/4 of the screen 2. If there could be a way to stop the screen from rotating. I know that the control system has felt nauseating, in my experience the only time that the Archwing game play has felt this way has been with the camera changes and the tweeks that were made to how the archwings actually maneuver. I also agree that the only system also worked and felt the best, for example I could actually zip around the map while performing rolls and the like without getting stuck on very minor obstacles e.g stuck of doorways and debris.

DEScott addressed this in DevStream 77.

They are reverting the camera view to the way it used to be.

They are adding options to turn off the auto righting system.

There is many people here saying that change to movement system(6DoF) was bad and that no one was asking for this or that everyone wants archwing game mode to be similar to ground missions but thats absolutely not true, at least not among the players who play regulary and have big hopes for archwing,, Me and pretty much every player who plays archwing regualary was asking for 6DoF for a VERY long time, another thing we asked for was  ability to shot while sprinting.

Being a console player, I have not played the new AW flight system,  but I must disagree with this post.  I am MR21 and have played a lot of AW.  I have all of the AWs and weapons maxed out and even forma'd many times.

In all of the time I participated in AW with countless pickup groups, no one has ever mentioned 6DoF.

In fact, based on the history of this thread, the community appears to disagree with the need for 6DoF.

I think that AW has many more needs like new missions, (every planet with at least one AW mission), new infested, sentient, corrupted enemies, more weapons and AW models, and some different tile sets that do not have the exact same extraction point which is a completely unnecessary mini obstacle course.  This, above most things, confuses new players.  Perhaps they could adjust their affinity challenge awards so that they are AW specific and do not have pistol kills, hack a console, rifle kills, sliding kills (though possible, it doesn't offer a high enough reward to bother) etc.  They need different mission types that would make AW entertaining and appealing.  Put relic drops into AW missions?  Add more AW mods and have some chance of getting Warframe event mods in AW missions.

    Testing?
