  1. I get the impression the Corpus work a lot of allegory, wordplay, and stylistic choices into their names. Frohd Bek's name is pronounced "Fraud." Ergo's name is a reference to an implicit consequence. There's a lot of speculation about V as a roman numeral denoting his lineage, he could be Alad the 5th. Alternatively, it could be that at some point their family name was "Vee" or just started with a V and they shortened it to make it singular and marketable as a brand. Nobody really knows. Maybe Alad doesn't even know.

Anyway, go ahead and drop your salt.

I can certainly see why someone in the position you've described would find the requirements for Erra exasperating. Because of that the only salt I have for you is this: Please separate your posts into paragraphs. All that text in a big block makes my eyes bleed.

Uh, again, that's how you're seeing it. You think that's what it is despite common sense saying otherwise, and that the statement he was clearly implying was that you have a CHANCE at getting MK1s that are actually better than MK3s. I made a whole thing about it. Did you even read my post or just quote the ending, pretending you read?

That's what he stated that it was. Burden of proof is on him. You want to argue that random loot stats are annoying and their ranges can be inconsistent or even flagrantly silly? Great. Go for it. I won't argue with you. I will, however, argue with him about what he stated. If you want to jump into that argument and defend what he said be my guest, but what he said is indefensible. If you have to attach conditions to his statement then his statement is untrue.

  4. Gentle reminder to update your GPU drivers, make sure your fan is working, and double check your temperatures while playing if you're experiencing bizarre crashes in games. It may not be the problem but at least then you'll know it's not the problem. That temperature bit goes for console users as well: Your console can get overly hot too. Make sure you've got good air flow and its ventilation isn't clogged with dust or animal hair or something.

You've made yourself abundantly clear already about how little others opinions mean to you despite your display of character which appears to contradict that, so it's safe to assume I'm well aware of that.

Unfortunately that's not how gifts work. Pity, is my gift to you. Possibly, for once, you won't get your way this time. I do sincerely hope things improve for you, should you seek it.

Do you get it now? Hope so.

Only if you get that OP is totally full of crap when he claims MK1 parts are objectively better than MK3 parts. You know what the best part is? I think random loot itself is total BS and shouldn't even be a thing. But instead I'm here being constantly replied to by people defending a factually false hyperbole.

    Fair enough.

For what it's worth, I do pity you.

Spare me your pity. I'm quite content knowing the only people that continue to challenge me can only do so on a conditional basis while disregarding entire stat categories. At least you're straightforward and aren't predicating your posts on the defense of a fallacious statement. That's a nice change of pace. I don't take shots at bystanders with opinions, just fools with structurally invalid arguments.

That was never the argument that it has to be the same house, people were sayings that a MK1 can roll higher than a MK3, no mention of houses.

Excuse me? The original statement was a flat "Otherwise what's the point when mk1 has better stats than mk3." Word for word. That is a direct assertion that MK1 parts have better stats. That is a fallacious and irrational absolute statement that is easily destroyed by simply demanding proof. So if you want to argue about what the argument is about you just lost. His statement is an outright falsehood and you trying to defend it by arguing something else entirely is not rational.

"Oh but secondary stats and component modifiers don't count!"

"Oh but some houses have a random chance to roll better primary stats than others in extremely specific circumstances! But remember the other stats that don't exist on MK1 parts don't count!"

Neither of these prove that MK1 parts are better than MK3 parts. They're either an intentional rejection of evidence or an appeal to hypothetical component rolls. MK1 parts do not have better stats than MK3 parts. MK1 parts have fewer stats and factually lower roll chances than comparable items in the MK3 class. Exceptions are not rules and raw data is not an replacement for a functional argument.

"We updated this old thing" is a lot less enticing than "We added this new thing."

I'm crossing my fingers that the Corpus Ship tileset rework will feel like a breath of fresh air for everyone. You're a founder too so I'm sure you recall the days when it was the only tileset. With its rework the oldest assets in the game will be replaced. Feels almost like a rechristening.

the lack of clear instructional mechanisms to get newer players involved with the update

New players in Railjack content are made of paper mache and good intentions. Every Archwing is made of glass and all the conventional enemies in Railjack have unnecessarily large health pools that scale in a ridiculous manner. By the time you hit the fifth Railjack node on Earth you're going to struggle really hard to kill enemies unless you've got Corrosive Projection, a status melee weapon that shreds anything you look at, and a CC ability to back it up. Well, that or a stealth frame to abuse. I guess now we know why Loki's in all the promotional materials.

a big problem, not just any problem...This game's community is weird to the point where they can go look for you in game and start insulting you for saying we have got a problem

After many years of interacting with people on the internet I can safely say that many people think with their feelings instead of their head. Additionally, they are prone to using social pressure instead of reason.

Lotus mentioned that the reason she didn't tell the Tenno what they are sooner is because the Stalker went mad when she showed him, implying that it there is indeed an Operator behind the frame. Sure, you could just call "unreliable narrator" on everything the Lotus told us up to this point because of who she turned out to be, but that's pretty unreasonable.

The most curious part about the Stalker's journey to the reservoir was how shocked he was to find a child in that cryopod. Lotus does indeed mention that the Stalker was "driven to madness" by the secret of the Reservoir. If that is so then why is he so surprised? This "secret" she mentions him having uncovered must have been incomplete. He knew that there was some consciousness, some other entity, that controls the Warframes. But he didn't know about the Tenno children, else he wouldn't have hesitated. Stranger still, he is so entranced by our Warframe acting on its own that he loses interest in us entirely.

I don't think we should, at least yet, asusme that Umbra where made prior Primes. So far the only Umbra is a custom version, the prime one could have been made at same time, from all we know( I don't remenber having a timeline, but i can be slight wrong)

A very good point. The Vitruvian device that Ballas provided to Hunhow displays a Volt Proto when he references the original "failures." It is possible that the Primes and Umbras didn't come until much later, after the abilities of the Tenno children were discovered.

This was somewhat what happened to Revenant. I don't think hat the original one had all the light show that the current eidolon-radiated one has.

I can only imagine the magnitude of that Sentient's power if it touched the Oro of a Warframe and tainted it on an intrinsic level. Truly terrifying to think of an invading alien machine that can manipulate the soul.

  14. That depends on how much you assume about the Rhino Prime codex entries. The original Warframes were made from people and had some measure of autonomy and the ability to feel. Ballas cooked their mindset right into them by giving them a memory or set of memories relevant to their purpose. The Rhino Prime codex regards the first time someone found out that the Tenno children could directly influence the Warframes but that doesn't mean it was a Rhino Prime itself but possibly a Rhino Umbra or a Rhino prototype. Recall that all of our Warframes, save for Umbra, are mass produced from a pattern and/or a set of parts and lack any form of agency (with the potential exception of what happened at the end of The Second Dream.) Do note that we keep something, presumably Warframes themselves, preserved in a Dojo's cryogenic storage. What you are speaking of may be why we do that instead of keeping them in a closet.

    A few other notes:

    1) Valkyr Prime is a bit of an anomaly since it shares the trauma of its more generic variant. There are theories about this regarding how all Warframes share the same Oro so traumatizing one traumatizes them all. It may be that all Excaliburs share some measure of Umbra's torment or it may be that Umbra's torment is unique. Hard to say.

    2) The Chroma in that quest is specifically marked as "Infested" but its behavior is extremely bizarre when compared to other Infested. We know for a fact that the infestation can be used to forcefully control a Warframe even if the person controlling them can't use Transference. Mesa, for example, was controlled by Alad V using infestation. Alad V can usurp control of our Warframes during his Infested boss fight as well.

    3) The Stalker refers to himself and others like him as "low Guardians." He may be a sapient Warframe but I don't think he was created that way. Recall the Silver Grove quest. Transference is not exclusive to Tenno. Silvana was an Archimedian and she was perfectly capable of using Transference to permanently inter her consciousness in the Silver Grove. It stands to reason that these low Guardians may be previously normal people that voluntarily chose to be transferred into a Warframe but can't go in and out like we can.
