  1. I just came back to the game again and was doing all the quests that I missed. Up until now everything was going fine. I was doing the Silver Grove quest and was on the part where I put the Sunlight Apothic on the shrine. I made the Apothic, equipped it, and go into the mission that shows up. I make it to the shrine, press X, and the Oberon Specter comes out. I kill the specter and..... nothing. Nothing happens. No voice narration, and no continuation of the quest. My apothic is consumed and nothing has progressed. Going back into the quest doesn't do anything either. I am assuming I need another Apothic to try and going through the laborious process of making it again.

  2. So with full health inaros, full armor inaros, and I am basically insta popped by those deth cube bots that fly around every where. Annoying as hell. Executioner Nox is basically the only one of the other side getting kills because his bots 1 shot everything. Reminds me of the bugged cats 1 shotting everyone previously. It's stupid.

  3. Problem is the damage was consistent between his loadout and mine. We tried this run over 20 times each in either frame. Also the vast majority of players we ran with were complaining of low damage output. Only my friend was getting any sort of high damage output against Lephantis that I could tell. The other bit which disproves the mod bug is we were both doing the exact same damage to the regular infested units. I would hit them for 20K+ easy per arrow the same as he was. So I could insta pop the adds, but do crap to Lephantis. He would just delete Lephantis and the adds.

  4. Here is a link to the bug report I had made about the strangeness of Lephantis and damage for this sortie I encountered.

It's was very strange. Also, The above poster is correct. No reason to really go above 145% power strength on Nova. Damage bonus is capped at 200% or double damage, and the slow is capped at 75% which is achieved with 145% power strength. All extra power strength does is make the explosions do a bit more damage to surrounding units. Lephantis is immune to that type of damage in the first place. Second, the damage for normal enemies with the bigger explosion is negligible. So it is much more effective to increase duration, range, and efficiency instead of power strength beyond 145%.

  5. My friend and I both ran the Lephantis sortie several times and found something interesting bug wise. For some reason his damage was massively higher than mine for no apparent reason when using Artemis bow on Ivara. We ran the assassination sortie several times trying to narrow down what was causing the bug. The scenario for the tests were as follows.

We both used Ivara with the exact same setup.

Ivara build had CP, Prime Cont, Power Drift, Trans Fort, Streamline, Fleeting, Redirection, Prime Flow, and Intensify. Everything but the Trans Fort is maxed and that is R8

This would give us the following:

    Dur: 65%

    Eff: 175%

    Range: 100%

    Strength: 195%

We both used the Paris Prime bow with Serration, Infected Clip, Vile Acceleration, Vital Sense, Split Chamber, Heavy Caliber, Point Strike, and Stormbringer. This basically gave the bow the following stats for both of us. Everything but the Heavy Caliber is max and that is at R9.

    Acc: 11.5

    Charge: 0.36

    Crit Chance: 112.5%

    Crit Multi: 4.4x

    Fire Rate: 2.8

    Reload: 0.7

    Status: 34.6%

    Punc: 1216

    Imp: 38

    Slash: 266

    Corrosive: 2736

We also went in with the exact same slow nova setup for 145% power strength.

I was hitting most of the time for 400-900 per shot on Lephantis with Artemis bow and he was hitting for 5000-10000 per shot. This was a DRASTIC difference. Screen shots show the difference. We couldn't figure out what the hell was causing the difference. We ran this dozens of times. We restarted clients and tried to narrow down what was making the issue. We ran with others and with just our selves. There was zero difference. Every time he hit for a ton and I hit for a tickle.

  6. OK, this Lephantis is strangely bugged for this sortie.

I went with my friend testing this back and forth. First he went as Ivara and I went as Nova.He basically deleted Lephantis as Ivara. with Artemis bow, ever arrow shot was hitting from 5K to 10K damage. Usually 3-4 shots and a head would go down. We would then switch. I used the exact same Ivara build he had with the same Paris Prime bow build he was using and my shots were doing 400-900 damage per arrow. I mean it was enough to kill him eventually, but was now where near the damage he was putting out with the exact same setup. We tried this multiple times and both were taking screen shots of this. We have no idea how to explain what the hell was happening. This was with just the two of us several times and no one else in there.

  7. The 3 hour defrost time is also one of the most annoying things about them. 30 minutes would have been better + auto hit to their "DNA" stability when brought out would have at least let me think about bringing them every so often. As it is, I don't bother because I don't ever feel like waiting 3 hours to thaw one out before using it.

  8. Different times, different people, different prices.

In recent weeks I've had more plat than time to get stuff so I bought a few things. Still, I didn't have all that much plat so I could the most of what I could with what I had. I was able to get a couple of bo prime handles for 20p each despite many people trying to sell them upwards of 100p. I picked up a loki prime systems for 75p. Not an easy feat in the last few months I'll tell you that.

I'm not a reseller, but someone actually using the items. Still, If you watch the market from time to time you can find good deals. You'll also see the same people hawking what they have for very high amounts for weeks on end. They aren't actually selling for that price very often I assure you.

  9. PS4 Reknown pack 5 has a Wyrm skin.

Also, I gotta admit that I didnt think of the Ogris, but truth be told, that weapons a weapon problem, not a Kubrow problem.

DE is already at work on an expansion that will rescue a Kubrow.

The restoration process is also being worked on by DE, so this wont be an issue much longer.

You "have to"? I normally just find the funds in my account. I buy them in bulk, like fifteen packs of ten, and I wind up with surplus. It's hard...HARD...to not have the funds for this.

As I pointed out in the OP, if you cant manage to land a hit just because Kubrows occasionally step between you and your target, then maybe Warframe isnt the game for you. They shouldnt be taller than your enemies, either, unless you are using Unleashed on your Sunika, and in that case...unequip Unleashed.

As for the revive time...try using Loyal Companion. Then, you have nearly 40 seconds of bleedout, and your complaint about getting to them "immediately" to revive them in time.

No complaints here about Carrier, but I fear it will be made obsolete by the Retriever.

They don't block all shots, but kubrows have blocked shot for just about every player. The same cannot be said about sentinels because they don't block shots at all. Have you seen some of the bigger kubrows? All it takes is a little bit of elevation change in the current room you are in and the kubrows can block your shots, especially if you are using something like a tonkor or penta, pretty easily. Not to mention the infected dogs and infected half torso.

I have died because of a blocked shot? Not that I can remember, but I know some have. Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Not really. I can go without either companion and have on many occasions.

The point of the companion is to make the mission a tad bit easier to do. That's it. Sentinels always do that do various degrees and the kubrows do too, but have drawbacks associated with the help they bring that sentinels really don't have at all. The draw backs can be mitigated, but some people rather not be bothered by them at all. Which is why I basically bring by sentinel everywhere now that I have maxed out my 4 kubrow types for my mastery xp.

  10. Sentinels do not block my shots.

They aren't normally targetted until you are bleeding out.

If you don't want your sentinel to do any attacking then you can unequip the attack mod or unequip it's weapon. You can't stop the kubrows from doing whatever they hell they want to do regardless of the situation.

I find my sentinels tend to survive missions much better than my fully modded out pig dogs. Especially when the stupid dog ran off some where I can't immediately get to in order to revive it in time.

I have been saved more times than I can count by the suction of my carrier picking up orbs compared to my kubrow.

If they made it so that objects the pig dogs walked over automatically were picked up for you then maybe I would consider using them more often. Usually I'd just rather take my carrier with me into any mission with a sweeper at most (better yet without a firing mod on it many times) and have it do it's job of out of the way support without me having to worry about it dying.

  11. But the simple fact is that you're going for the reward, not the "fuzzy" feeling of using a different weapon, frame, etc. Yeah, you can use the Lato, but it's faster and easier to run with something better. See what I mean? Even in your rebuttal you fall into my argument's main point. :/

Also, you may actually go further than 20 waves/minutes because you didn't get the reward you wanted, but you can't because you have the Lato.

I just choose a different type of warm fuzzy for accomplishment.

Getting the reward I want from 20 mins, or 40 or 60 is all the same chance. The difference between running the same mission 3 times at 20 minute runs vs 1 time at 60 minutes is the number of keys used. which frankly isn't that big of a deal.

The reason people go longer than 20 usually is because they want a bit of challenge. The game rapidly spikes in challenge after 20 minutes. Still that challenge is yet more challenging with weaker weapons. I find it far more impressive if a person shows me how they made it to 35 minutes with a lato than 60 minutes with the most OP weapon out there. Too each their own which is why there is diversity in the first place.

  12. Things that need to be made clear for everyone:

    1) Warframe has never been about variety. The game's only objective is to become better, and the latest event is a testament to that. Players are arguing over REWARDS, not LORE. Variety was tossed out the window once everybody realized shotguns and snipers were sub par. Variety ended when people realized that utility frames are better than defensive/offensive frames. Variety ended once mods like serration, heavy cal, etc were introduced. Don't pull that crap on us. There are two types of weapons: ones for the test (going as far in survival as possible) and ones as mastery fodder. There is no in between. Warframe is a game about progression, not variety. Variety ended when progression became vertical rather tgn horizontal.

    2) You're following a logical fallacy because you're building a strawman argument. No one uses the Gorgon. No one uses the Lato. No one uses a lot if weapons, but people still use plenty others. The OP isn't asking to remove all weapons save for the best of the best. He's asking for the obviously useless weapons to be removed.

    MY OPINION:

The OP has a valid point because power creep will always be a factor in this game; therefore, (in theory) all current weapons will eventually be buried under new, more-powerful ones. I don't want the old ones to be removed, but I wouldn't fret over 5-10 weapons being removed.

Ugh, I can use ANY weapon in T4 voids and be succssful. One does NOT need to do 60+ minutes of survival at all to get the rewards they are looking for. Unless the reward is the good fuzzy feeling of seeing how far they can go. I can make it with a Lato through 20 minutes of T4S just fine with any frame as long as I have the proper mods on what I am using. Getting 20 minutes is all that is needed to get a chance at the rewards I want from any void survival I want. Or 20 waves for defense.

One doesn't need the most OP weapon there are to accomplish darn near everything in this game at all. Heck, one can still complete the "raid" without firing a single shot or swinging a single melee weapon around. With the proper CC in raids the need for killing for many in the raid is moot.

However, I will say that stronger weapons make whatever it is you are trying to accomplish that much easier. Of that there is now doubt. And for many players of this game, personal accomplishments are what keep some coming back. Like seeing exactly how far then can go in a T4 survival before bailing.

  13. Wow,

I seriously use quite a few different weapons depending upon the frame and scenario I'm in. I will state there are some I use more for "harder" scenarios that others. The following are what I "fall back" to for harder content, but it is still a big variety I think.

    Primary:

    Qunata (now the quanta vandal)

    Paris Prime

    Soma Prime

    Boltor Prime

    Tonkor

    Penta

    Phage

    Secondary:

    Vaykor Marelok

Synoid Gammacor (although since the nerf I use it far less than the vaykor)

    Dex Furis

    Rakta Ballistica

Now working on Atomos the water squirter :)

    Melee:

    Orthos Prime

    Dakra Prime

    Dex Dakra

    Atterax

    Scindo Prime

    Gallatine

    Dual Ichor

    Skana Prime

    Kogake

    Ankyros Prime

    Dragon Nikana

I tend to like most if not all melee weapons in this game. There are very few melee weapons I have not liked that I have used really. I like many of the primaries and have many more to go through. The secondaries are a lot less diverse IMHO. There are very clear winners and very far distant unusable losers. Basically the syndicate weapons for secondaries rule and everything else is just crap by comparison.

  14. Thank you for the suggestion but i was not AFK and move quite a bit during any given round. Nor was that session laggy in any way.

I am not the only one experiencing it - so hopefully it is fixed again.

Then it was a desync between you and the host.

If you are moving around constantly beyond more than a few inches around your character, then you won't be flagged as AFK. If you are flagged as AFK, as it looks in that image since you are standing on top of a stack of crap pulled by probably a stationary Mag with Greedy Pull mod as you look like you are camping a spot, then the system will flag you AFK. Both you and the Mag need to move around to pick up stuff. The problem is both you are the mag have have to move around a bit.

Unless of course it is a host desync issue, which can occur but is far more rare when it happens. And the inability to pick up objects won't be the only problem you see when that happens.

  15. Thanks for the fixes.

    Carrier pickup bug persists.

    11012561_10155589365165571_8624040871834

Not a bug but intended design of the AFK system.

If you stand in one place for longer than 30 seconds then you can't pick anything up through walking over it or with the carrier.

Again NOT A BUG. To fix the problem move around until you are no longer flagged AFK. What I would like to see is a notification of sort indicating you've gone into AFK status from standing around too long.

  16. SOOO many new bugs with this patch. Does DE not have any Quality Control and testers for their stuff? I've been a developer for over 20 years and I would be fired from damn near every place I've worked had I let crap like this load onto production servers as buggy as they seem to let their stuff go out the door.
