I've been trading dupes with friends; this system isn't going away, and I'll eventually get 'perfect' rolls on everything, which can easily enough be dropped on top of whatever I happen to level. No reason to waste my own time.

Kuva weapon details are set when you kill the larvling.

What affects the Lich as a friendly NPC, I do not know, though I expect they are functionally a leveled specter.

With the exception of the now broken Decisive Judgement, everything I used before now works, and usually works better. I'm quite happy with the new melee.

I've  been going with radiation; it works well on just about any weapon, against just about any enemy, and doesn't complicate my weapon configuration.

Because they just weren't un-fun enough.

It reached a new level for me when I got a Lich that could teleport, and apparently liked to spawn additional Commanders nearby.

I switched to Captures after running four or five long Exterminates in a row, with no luck there.

I just did another Cassini run; cleaned the place out end to end, but nothing. The system is clearly not firing on all cylinders right now.

I've been on Plato, Cassini, Adaro, maybe another place or two, at least ten times this evening, solo and in groups, and NO LARVLINGS.

I've verified that I don't currently have a Lich - vanquished #4 this afternoon. Picked up all four of those on Plato, btw. Now, nothing.

Don't like it, don't do it. It's not "shady". It's all optional content; absolutely nothing is locked behind maxing out mastery on Kuva weapons.

There's plenty of mastery fodder I'm 100% skipping (hoverboards? really?), and it's not stopping me from being MR27.

This update has fewer breaking issues that most, as far as I can recall.

It's not awesome that I lose half my HUD when I fight a lich, but it's not stopping me from playing. The Old Blood has been a surprisingly functional experience for me, though there's clearly a whole raft of things to straighten out.

It's a time sink, not a plat sink. Obtaining forma is trivial, applying them is tedious.

I, too, love watching Tenno stand there, and wondering whether or not the relevant UI elements are actually displaying on their screen.

The only limits I'm seeing are being placed by players who refuse to change how they select and build their tools.

A few things that worked before in specific content no longer work the same way, and players must now adapt to get the sensation of having more power than others that they seek. Good. That's healthy.

The random factor on the elemental bonus damage has to go. Once it's leveled (per weapon type), the system will be a lot more sensible.
