  1. Just watching the Duviri Paradox trailer again and was wondering if perhaps our older self will become the man in the wall, trying to communicate to the younger Operator while they're trapped in the void.

I don't know all the ins and outs of the lore at this point, but having played through all the quests and looking for clues in the trailer, I noticed that our Tenno places the weapon specifically for his older self, even making eye contact before dissolving away. He's also wearing a mask with white eyes, which matches the eyes of the man in the wall, What do you think?

  2. I'd like to throw another idea out there: players use MOT to test certain builds, and unfortunately with solo spawns being garbage, the only real-world test is an actual mission with teammates. Yes, the Simulacrum can test too, but only in a controlled environment, and not every player has this area unlocked.

Some players are also simply unprepared for MOT, with the 300% damage multiplier, suddenly enemies are carving out huge chunks of health for their level. My guess is also a lot of new players started playing, or resumed playing, with the new Fortuna update, and we're seeing a lot of inexperience come with that.

What we really need are solo extractions in endless missions, which has been requested for years and shows no signs of progress. How hard would it be to have a defense-style reward/extract screen every 5 minutes in survival?

  3. So long as DE accepts credit cards for plat purchases, there will be this problem. The only way around it is to have users write a check or physically hand over cash/money orders first, have the funds clear in DE's account, and then they issue the platinum. That is the only way to ensure that the total amount of platinum that is in circulation has been tied to actual money received by DE, and will forever be nonrefundable.

What I don't understand is that there isn't a way to track trades at all in the game. There are no statistics, or most-recent trades, or plat received from trades, nothing of any reference beyond what they can see on their servers and user screenshots. I believe a more transparent trading platform would help this a lot more than people realize. Let my trading partners look at my most recent 10 or 20 plat transactions, see that I'm a frequent buyer and seller, and then they can trade with me in confidence. If I'm trading with someone who just bought 10K plat, then 2 god-roll Lanka rivens, at MR5, I'm going to be suspicious to sell to them.

  4. I don't believe there is a content drought, there's a content polish flood that's happening in 2018. Bigger Eidolons, revamped primaries and secondaries (with melee on the way), reworked Warframes (Atlas, Saryn, Banshee wooo) and Arcane system; and still new stuff like the Sanctuary, Arbitrations, new warframes (including Umbra!) along with a juicy sound upgrade (yeah no one talks about this one, but go Audio Team) and relay rebuilding event.

As a veteran of 5 years, this year has really been amazing so far for the game and its sense of polish and maturity. A lot of it's really subtle, but it goes a long way. If you could boot up the game as of 2 years ago, it would really be noticeable.

But sure, if all the armchair developers here say there's a drought, there must be.

  5. This has been said before on this thread, but I'll say it again: this is probably the only weapon out of hundreds in the game with potential future story/lore implications. It's one-of-a-kind, and its crafting costs should reflect that so that people take this weapon seriously. It's also meant to be crafted by those who have completed pretty much all the lore quests, and the implication is that it's meant for end-game players who most likely already have enormous amounts of resources to begin with.

Personally I think it's too cheap to craft; I wish it also required some Kuva and argon crystals so that those mission types and tilesets are also included in its lore. Maybe make it cost 1000 control modules too since no one can seem to get rid of those.

  6. My biggest mistake? Buying the Opticor a few years ago for 200+plat, before I realized i could build it for free from the Dojo. This was before it was reworked and it was a terrible weapon at the time.

After the rework, it's now one of my favorite and most powerful weapons I own (with a CC/CD Riven to match). I have never forgotten my terrible purchase and can laugh about it now.

  7. I mean, 5 seconds is a suggestion. It should be longer than a regular knockdown to punish wayward self-damage shots. It is also really annoying to be paired with a laggy host that causes you to down yourself since you can't tell where enemies actually are and one teleports in front of you. It's also kinda BS when enemies can absorb more of the launcher's damage than even your tankiest warframe, but that's another subject.

  8. I feel like this simple change would make all launchers actually usable again. I get that there should be a penalty for spamming shots all over the map without aiming, but at the higher levels, it takes usually several grenades, cannonballs, rockets, etc. to make a dent in the tankier enemies (and only one grenade to down the player). And in the cramped corridors of most maps, it's kinda hard not to accidentally detonate a round close to you or have a teammate jump in front of you at the wrong moment. Instead of the massive self-damage resulting in an instant player death, just have us get knocked down for a couple seconds (with maybe a small health hit), similar to what one of the bursa's do, and have it so no mods are able to change this knocked-downtime. This will satisfy both the haters of launcher-spammers, and those that like using them. What do you think?

  9. Just now, Kebast said:

Sorry, yes my biggest priority is Eilodon hunting. Seems like there's several good options :).

Ah ok, there sure is! I also really like the 323 for Hydrolyst hunts while using PUGs. Reason is the scaffold is handy when the squad is good and you have Void Strike charges, but if you need distance (like as Trinity), the grenade launcher can still contribute while the scaffold clears voms. It's a little bit more versatile than the almost completely short-range 223 option I mentioned.

  10. Is this for Eidolons? If yes, the 223 I like the best: prism for clearing voms, and scaffold for taking down shields. For general use, really anything you want. I like the 333 for kuva clouds (auto aims right for the clouds, can't remember if it goes through walls anymore since rework). I'm having a blast with the 443 since it's rapid fire with a neat homing disc. I also have a 123 which is surprisingly strong since the raplak got buffed and gets crazy headshots with Virtous Strike arcane.

  11. I don't main her, but there was a month where I used her exclusively. Running a high range/duration build is super fun and versatile for pretty much any mission, but she does require a lot of investment between forma'ing her and Venari (and potatoes too). She's in a good place imo, and doesn't require any further tweaks or reworks at this point. Don't listen to the negative feedback on her; most of those posts are from when she was first released or because those players wanted a specific exalted weapon like when she was first showcased.

Oh, and having high strength with rush mod and a volt on the squad makes her incredibly fast.

Don't forget that her 1 scales off riven mods too, so your melee should be a high disposition one with tons of damage/crit mods to get the most out of the ability.
