There is already cap. Each shard give you less and less, e.g. 1st shard 20, 2nd 15 etc.

No, I promise you, if you saw what I saw you'd get it. I have no doubt there were Shards in there, but there's also the potential of Natural Talent, Speed Drift, and the one thing I could see was getting the Madurai casting speed buff.

I'm also certain there was a Macro involved cause it was rediculous how quickly he was casting Dark Verse.

  2. I'm not usually one to comment on nerfs and buff for a Warframe because it is what it is.

    However

Just gotten out of a run of sanctuary onslaught where a Dante which jacked up Casting Speed - looked like he was using Madurai, who knows about the mods - was able to spam abilities so quickly that it actually caused framerate issues, and even worse, my buddy I was playing with got so glitched out of the game and unable to kill anything before it died that it triggered the AFK measure, and they did not get their drops.

And that wasn't their fault. It wasn't the Dante's fault either, he's built it up as is their right, but there needs to be a change otherwise Dante can seriously hamper the enjoyment of the game

Put a hard cap on Casting Speed.
Add a Line of Sight check to Final Verse
Maybe tweak the energy cost of Final Verse.

I love casting spells, but I do not want my buddy's game to be ruined by an overzealous build.

  3. I'm normally one to embrace change as good and important, and I think this is a good change for the new players.

However, I really don't like the extra time it takes me to find the stats I'm interested in.

Some weapons should have stats like Reload time right in the forefront - the Trumna and the Sobek spring to mind - as the Reload time to Magazine Capacity ratio makes a big part of how a weapon feels.

Its a good change, it really is, but its not for everyone and its so strange that there wasn't a legacy mode toggle right from the outset. Warframe is a very customisable game, you can tailor so much, it truly baffles me this was just set down with little to no warning.

  4. I think Eclispe has been needing a change for a very long time, even before Helminth entered the Conversation, but I'm glad we're having it now at least.

Personally, I want the Change approach.

    • I - personally - never use it on Helminth cause (1) Roar is right there and far more reliable (2) I don't enjoy using "number go up" abilities like Roar and Eclispe cause they're just kinda... Boring? Like I've played for a hot minute now, I'm past that phase where I just want bigger numbers, I wanna do more... Interesting stuff?
    • Having access to controllable pair of buffs makes it a way more interesting ability to me cause I can think of quite a few Warframes that could do with just a bit more survivability to help them prosper at higher levels - Mirage included - especially since Overguard makes a lot of Crowd Control dependent Warframes a harder sell. I realise wanting more ready access to the damage resistance very much means I'm not in the majority.
    • I think being able to toggle between the light and dark bonuses fits Mirage quite well - Hall of Mirrors and Prism are both described as the manipulation of light, so if Mirage can bend Light at will couldn't she naturally darken and brighten the light on herself anyway?

    So here's my take

Let Mirage toggle herself between Light and Dark modes.

Could do it like, you cast it once and get the buff dependent on your surrounding light. Cast again during the duration to switch it.

Or you could have it so that you Tap the key once to get Dark Mode, Hold to get Light Mode, its already Recastable so you can switch between without much trouble except the cost of Energy. Or vice versa but people can tweak that to their liking.

And then when its Helminth'd in to other Warframes, they get the current version of the ability where it depends on lighting - cause other Warframes don't have Mirage's Light Manipulation abilities so they're completely reliant on the ambient light. It makes sense from a Lore perspective, it means there's less need for a grand overhaul, and shouldn't disrupt its current relationship with Helminth.

You could also do the thing where it just has a diminished strength or duration, and that would knock it down a few pegs on the Helminth tier list, but I think that'd be kinda boring and wouldn't go down well.

However, I do wanna also throw out this very wildcard idea with the full knowledge that there's bound to be some very important and good reasons as to why this is NOT a good idea but I want to throw it out there anyway - change Mirage's Helminth ability from Eclispe to Sleight of Hand. Cause if we're already on idea that Roar serves the role as a catch all damage boost, and Eclispe is too unreliable to be able to reap the full flexible benefits of it, then why bother?

And then you can change Eclispe to have a toggle so that she gets the control she deserves for it.

  5. The rewards are cool but I still miss the stories and lore they brought.

I think stuff to the level of three actual NW stories was right to be dropped, but I dunno. Something? Like maybe just some stories read to us by Nora, a la Grandmother's stories about Naberus and Dagath.

"Hey Dreamers, got a story for you all."

Proceeds to talk at us for like, a minute, two maybe, telling us about this one group of rail agents out smuggling goods past the Grineer. Maybe tell us about the Ice Pirates. Maybe some antics of Clem & Darvo. Small little anecdotes about the Origin System outside of the Tenno's usual view, so we can see what we're really Fighting for. Would also make it feel much more like a rogue radio signal we tune into

  6. I don't think its an inherently bad idea but I can see a lot of ways it could go wrong - like what if someone maliciously gifted it a friend who did not want to story skip. What then?

So how its implemented is super important so here's an idea. Don't show the Story Skip on the New or Popular or Featured or on any part of the marketboard. Instead, a player has to put "Story Skip" or some variation into the search function to see it. That way no one stumbles into it, the people who go looking for it are looking for it with intent.

Put some warning screens up just in case with one of those "Type OVERRIDE to confirm" bits.

And don't let people gift it willy nilly like other items; make it so you can only Gift it to another player if they have the Skip in their Gift Wishlist

  7. So I've been messing around with the Ferrox as part of a Hildryn synergy, ran into a unfortunate glitch in todays sortie - seems like the shot is shooting off to the side at random instead of in the direction of the reticule. Like I mean straight up going sideways. But not on every shot, maybe like one in five shots.

So once I noticed it I went to the Simulacrum to tinker, try to eliminate the variables. So I wasn't using anything that affects accuracy, no riven or heavy caliber. I had Wyrm Prime, Prisma Obex, Secura Dual Lecta, Ferrox. I think it happened less when I removed Wyrm Prime but I'll need to spend more time in the Simulacrum to pin point what's causing the change. Would very much like this bug fixed so I can enjoy my Ferrox / Baelfire Synergies.

    Has anyone else encountered this?

  8. Okay so Helios is a big ol' grey area.

So here's a couple points to consider:

Corpus are descendants of a splinter of the Orokin, so that's about two degrees (at least) of separation from the Orokin who presumably designed the Helios Prime.

So if you read Lockjaw & Sol's codex entry (the zenuka / helios duo from the Index), it states that Lockjaw and Sol are Alad V's "Patented" designs.

Sentinels are stated by their Cephalon Fragment entry to be mechanical, but appear organic, and possibly connected to the Sentients. They are stated to be discovered and work closely with the Tenno.

Now we know Alad V's research focused on the Tenno, or rather, the Warframes. We know he got his hands on Valkyr and Mesa at different points, and has hunted others.

My thoughts: Alad V probably found an example (or perhaps the remains) of a Helios Sentinel, perhaps the Prime, or maybe a more Tenno orientated one (Kinda like how Djinn has a pre-infested version). And built Helios to model this example. Naturally the Tenno have to research the Helios, so perhaps that's based on stolen info from Alad V. So Helios is a duplicate of an interpretation.

That or Alad V is secretly using Apple tactics and just stole the design of Helios from a random Tenno or whatever and patented it, claiming he invented it when someone else did it before he did.

  9. Channeling isn't worth anything except to a enthusiast, the grineer damage loss is pretty bad since that's one of the tankier and more often encountered factions, and the crits would need to be pretty significant.

Is the mod for the Nikana or the Dragon Nikana? because the Dragon Nikana has a much better Riven Affinity which would make it very worth wile. Also what are the exact stats of  the crits?

  10. I was trying to do a trade and found that when the person loaded in, it was like they were in a different instance because they were in the clan dojo but couldn't see me, and I couldn't see them on the map, in person, or on the trading machine

    Anyone else run into this?

  11. I have a few thoughts about this

    • I love the Miasma / Spores proc switch. In a high spore count build I often burst dozens of spores in a single swing, but the viral proc only comes into play once. This switch to corrosive, letting Miasma have the Viral makes it more singular and have huge damage potential, I like this.
    • I'm not fond of the Spores Turret, but I do like the premise of turning the molt into a trap for enemies. Could we keep the spores-on-molt but with the caveat that the player can't burst Spores that are on the Molt?
    • The changes to Toxic Lash sound very nice, essentially giving every weapon the damage methods found on the Acrid and Hystrix (poison needle), which leaves me wondering how these two weapons interact with Toxic Lash? Double the toxin procs?

Overall it sounds like Saryn's going to shoot up to becoming one of our singular most damaging warframes, with amazing scalability via armour stripping. I am excited for this.

I also really look forward to hearing this "voice", I'm hoping it comes in the form of sounds rather than words, similar to Valkyr's screams. I feel like speech would spoil some mystique that the warframes have.

  12. I'd say letting it drop down to nothing would be a bit much, since range is important to Titania's CC. Consider the following; more "Elite" enemy types drop more orbs than a mook. So Bombards, Bursas, Techs, that kind of thing drops a lot, whereas a Rollerball drops only little

Can't you trade them for plat?

The Arcane Helmets, yes, but that's only if you want to trade them since they are unique items that can't be farmed anymore. I'm talking about the standard helmets that you get with the warframe for example. I want to be able to sell some of those cause I've got quite a few spares that just clutter up my inventory.

Take TacticalPotato for example, his fans and friends have sent him a huge number of Hydroids. For every one of those Hydroids, he's got a default Hydroid helmet in his inventory.

  14. Its been a little while since the Arcanes were decoupled from the Syandanas & Helmets which has actually left me with a little conundrum.

Could we get a function to remove duplicate helmets and syandanas? Maybe sell them for credits or something.

Cause I've got a lot of spare helmets from Prime Vault, building 2nd Primes, and I've received a couple extra syandanas as well.

We don't need duplicates in our inventory if they aren't specific to arcanes, so could we get that?

I'm guessing it might be a little hard to implement a system to prevent selling all the helmets and it opens up the trouble of having to return accidental sales but I think it'd be worth it. I think most people would like to tidy up their inventories and it might mean a slightly lower load on the server memory so I wonder if its something that could be considered.

  15. So I had just finished a Triple Eidolon Hunt and gone to the gate, waiting for the session load out into Cetus, when someone leaves the Squad causing a Host Migration, except I receive "Multiplayer Connection Lost" instead. I get loaded out to Cetus at the shore, and a quick check of my inventory reveals I have my new Shards, I have my new Arcanes, but I'm now missing the Sentient Cores. 0, 0, and 0 in all categories.

I've lost entire hauls from Eidolon hunts which are time consuming endeavours because players just leave the squad while the gate is still loading and it frustrates me to no end. I've submitted a support ticket but this kind of thing shouldn't be happening.

  16. As a big fan of the Ratchet and Clank games, I am all here for an Augment that changes her Metronome so that enemies within its range, start dancing which leaves them crowd controlled (For easy implementation, just use the flailing animation from the Heat Damage Proc although some custom animations would be groovy too).

Honestly its mostly just for humour, there's no real need for more CC in Octavia's kit since she has her first two abilities and a stealth ability, but this idea tickles something in me.

  17. I've been running into this issue too, but I might have a work around - if you leave Cetus, go back to the Orbiter, then go straight to the plains of eidolon you can check the little lake off to the left with the geyser. If there's enemies there, go back to the gate and go through, and Konzu's bounty should auto-fail

  18. I think this would be an awesome idea and bring a lot of new interesting approaches to using him.

You could hold 1 to switch elements, that'd probably be the best way. Vex armour is the only part of his kit that doesn't benefit any sort from changing elements so I'd leave that the same but Elemental Ward + its augment... I think it would probably need to be made so that switching elements cancels it out and requires you to recast, just to bring the balance a little back in line.
