  1. but if you arent farming archwing for parts

why are you playing archwing at all???

    ???

Farming stuff so you can farm more stuff better than you could before.

    Genius.

I recently resorted to buying an archwing and two weapons with plat cause Archwing sucks needs lots of work and the fact that the next raid will also feature archwing.

  2. I very nearly got the Velocitus from the Tenno Lab in my clans dojo when I first started because I thought it was a completely BA sniper rifle idea.

Then my clan members told me it was for Archwing.

And then I discovered Archwing is currently the bare-bones space combat game mode.

  3. I love the Silva & Aegis simply because the stance makes it not a "damn, I could've made (insert other melee weapon here) in this time" kind of weapon.

If you aren't using the stance, go get it and try out the shield again.

I do agree it does need a small buff. BUT Silva & Aegis is great for procs.

It's just not high level viable like Scindo/Prime or Ichors or other melee weapons out there. It's more of a "hey I look sweet" kind of weapon right now.

EDIT: Note, my "high level viable" doesn't mean raid or lv80 enemies viable. It simply means that at wave 20 in a T4D I should be able to defend myself with my melee weapon if I get into a pickle.

  4. I bought the Simulor (with platinum, mind) on day one because it sounded BA, it looked BA, and it seemed like it would be BA.

It was a letdown when I found it took five shots to start a vortex, they only travelled 10 meters, they only had a radius of roughly 8-10 meters, and the vortex (without shooting more into it) only lasted ten seconds.

And I'm not even mentioning the fact that it doesn't ragdoll, the vortices don't pull, and the damage overall if you don't detonate it is extremely laughable.

You could use an unranked Tonkor if you wanted a Simulor and even then it does better damage and has range to it.

  5. We need to see more aggro-tank abilities. Rhino's Iron Skin would be a perfect starter.

Don't you think if you were facing a team of four highly trained supersoldiers and weren't dead yet that you'd aim for the big &#! dude suddenly covered gold S#&$ after a bright flash of light?

  6. actually the glitch that puts you in first person, shows that it's almost as simple as moving the camera. Seriously it seems perfectly do-able. Do I think they should drop everything and do it? No, but I feel when they have more time they should look into it. And remember, they also said PvP wasnt going to happen either.

How would DE convey a backflip in first person? A forward roll? how do you time your wall run flips when all you see is wall? Does the warframe break it neck to allow you to see behind it?

FPS in gaming incurs a massive hit to peripheral vision.

If a FPS viewpoint was added, it would be sub-par and of very poor quality....which begs the question: why add it at all if it's going to be half arsed? :/

Simple. Do what most FPS's do and have the camera move in a silly way that resembles a person doing a forward roll but don't have it change direction.

Also, as it was stated. there's already a glitch that puts you in first person.

This all said, I don't think we need first person. This ain't a FPS kinda game...

  7. I had a thought of maybe changing it to this:

The orbs act similar to how they do now but go a much farther range. Right click no longer detonates them but allows them to follow the crosshair. Vortex amount is brought down from five shots to three (or two?).

EDIT: Think a weaker Antimatter Drop but as a gun combined with Vauban's Vortex instead of an explosion.

  8. I've obtained the Simulor, and from what I can gather, it's an attempt on a good idea to make it similar to Quanta's secondary combined with Vauban's Vortex.

    Yes, it just came out.

Yes I'm judging it from only having it at Rank 15.

What I've discovered is that the gun fires small orbs that, alone, have no special qualities. They bounce off players, enemies, and the environment with a range of 10 meters. When two orbs are close enough they will pull towards one another slowly until they combine. When two combine it creates a small blast that deals the weapon damage in a radius of 3 meters around the orb. When you shoot five into a group of one it creates a vortex similar to that of Vauban's Vortex ability with a radius of about 3 meters once again. Right clicking at any point creates a detonation that has a range of about 5 meters, dealing full damage.

    Pros:

    Great idea!

    Looks cool.

    Decent damage unmodded.

    Cons:

Vortex effect takes 5 shots to activate.

Vortex range cannot be changed in any way currently and is rather small as it is.

Low damage in the long run.

These are just off the top of my head while I'm running this Tactical Alert, so if you have anything to add to this list from your own testing, be my guest.

  9. I got this new gun and I was thinking it would shoot Vauban Vortexes or something similar to it all over the place.

Never have I been so disappointed in my life.

The gun looks AMAZING, and the concept is AMAZING, but the execution is very poor. To make a vortex you have to fire five shots in the same location which is half a clip.

Even the base damage is okay, but the fact that we have no way to increase the duration of the vortex (which is about 10 seconds) nor the range (which is, at my best guesstimation, not even 5 meters) is VERY sad.

I want to love this gun, it seems like it would be AWESOME!!!

    But nope.

  10. Fun fact: in the days of the Vikings, the berserkers among them actually ate mushrooms to induce a hallucinatory state and caused them to rampage in battle, hence berserkers are known to be insane and strong fighters.

In reality, they were all tripping balls and stealing shiny S#&$ when they were covered in blood.

TL;DR  Valkyr is a cat on shrooms.
