  1. my biggest issue with the controller has been ongoing since U15 and still DE hasnt acknowledged the issue, much less fixed it.  after U15 they added roll onto the "hold to crouch" button without telling anyone about it or including it in patch notes and now i cant play the game because this change resulted in a half second delay to the slide fuction, I know it doesnt sound like much but it has crippled my ability to keep up with everyone else and ruined any sense of fluidity in my movement.  Worst part is that it is a controller only issue as the "hold to crouch" function on M&K doesnt have roll attached, making it impossible to get DE's attention. 

     

    I swear i cant get any attention to this issue even though i bump 3-4 posts every few days in the hopes DE finally sees it.  i dropped $60 on the game just before U15 screwed everything up and i havent be able to play since.

  2. Im suffering from the same issue and it has made the game unplayable for me. Toggle isnt a viable option for me because I cant just suddenly, after 18 months, change how I play the game. Adding roll to crouch was a bad idea. Adding roll to hold to crouch only for controllers makes no sense to me and it was a move that has had serious consequences for many players.

    I havent been able to play the game for 3 months because of this and I'm really frustrated that DE hasn't made any statement about this. If you want roll to stay with hold to crouch then give us another option so player can choose whether they want just hold to crouch or hold to crouch with roll, though I cant imagine anyone wanting that.

  3. U15 brought with it an unfortunate bug that has made the game unplayable for many controller users. The hold to crouch action for the controller, as a result of U15, added roll which put a crippling delay on the slide mechanic. please remove roll from the "hold to crouch" action so we can go back to playing.

    What is frustrating for me as well As other players and the reason why this isnt a very well know issue is because it only affects controllers. The hold to crouch action on keyboard does not have roll attached to it resulting in no delay.

    As a player that has been a member of this community for nearly 2 years, its frustrating that I havent been able to play for months and no matter what I and my fellow controller users do, we cant get DE's attention. So I'm asking for everyone's help, including M&K users, to please help us out so we can go back to playing.

  4. there is currently a laundry list of issues with controllers since U15, and its proving difficult to get DE's attention.  there are a few other topics with different issues that arose following U15 but i have yet to see any developer comments on such problems and since we are a small part of the community, we cant get heard.

     

    its really frustrating.

  5. It's great to know that I'm not alone with the controller issues.  I also think that the slide function slides too much without control.  I also get annoyed that the slide strike almost never hits.

    All we can do is keeping talking about this and they are bound to see these threads eventually.

  6. this bug is making the game unbearable for my part as controller user. Atm i play on keybord on low level missions, cause sliding melee attacks are now easier on keyboard for me.

    that is the major problem and also a huge reason as to why this isnt a widespread complaint on the forums.  keyboard users are totally unaffected and it seems to make it impossible to get DE's attention because of the smaller number of controller users, especially on the forums.  If we keep talking on the post and it keeps heading up to the top, maybe a DE developer will actually see it.

    Didnt know it was like that on the consoles too. I know why they did it, but it actually worsened the problem. They put roll on it to try and free up more buttons for players to use, but they kind of forgot we already have Sprint/Roll lol

    Exactly. I use sprint/roll on my left bumper because in order to have roll I had to give up sprint toggle, at least back in the day,and holding down a bumper is miles more comfortable than holding the left stick down. I have a setup where I have everything but the larger map and the camera shift but I never use those anyway. It may be hard to get everything on a controller but I managed to succeed so it is possible. Gamepad is always going to have issues with the number of buttons but piling controls on top of each other isnt the solution.

  8. Exactly! If theyre gonna force that for controller they should force it for keyboard too. Then they'll REALLY get complaints from alot of people less friendly than me saying "The game is broken" "Unplayable" blah blah. But you get the point. They did remedy slightly by making the delay less, but there shouldnt be a delay at all.

     

    I have seen these same hold to croutch issues on the X1, not sure about PS4, but i think the reason the problem got carried over to PC from console was because they may be trying to create some parity between PC and the 2 consoles.  also i have found that the hold to crouch is slightly worse on X1.  i dont have it set to toggle because i use the right stick press for crouch and i only want the slide to last as long as i hold it down, i just dont like toggle in general.  I have barely played on the X1 and havent played on PC since U15 because of this issue. 

     

    DE please fix this!  All u need to do is remove the roll mechanic from hold to croutch so that it only causes a crouch or slide. that will remove the delay and BOOM everyone is happy.

  9. coming back after update 15 i noticed that the controller additions they made ruined the game for me.  they rolled back some of it and other problems were bugs that got fixed, but the biggest issue for me is now the slide mechanic.  I think in an effort to bring some parity to the 3 builds they brought the problems with controls on console over to PC, which is super frustrating.  My controller layout was complex, but i was able to get everything on there, but now i cant play the game anymore because the hold to crouch button now has roll attached to it like on console causing a severe delay to the slide.  On M&K this is a none issue because hold to crouch still works the same way it always did, i.e. no roll attached, and used to on controller.  after 500 hours i can no longer play because of these ongoing changes they made.  the slide is so clunky now that i keep dying over and over because my agility went from full ninja to a guy with a broken ankle.

     

    i know my problems are different from yours but i wanted you to know that there are numerous issues with controllers now, and you arent alone :)

  10. Soooo... yeah it's still frustrating as hell. In the hub today I had so much trouble trying to parkour up to the top in the first room, where normally that would be soooo easy with hold to crouch just wroking the way it does on a keyboard (instant)

     

    I was messing around with the keyboard and i noticed the same thing.  the hold to crouch is instant on keyboard but on controller the hold to crouch also has roll attached for some reason causing a delay in controller for the slide.  both should be exactly the same.  hold to crouch doesnt mention roll, so why is it attached?

DE, can u guys please fix this already.  i just recently came back after a couple months hiatus and the one thing i have noticed is that my slides(bound to right stick press) are severely delayed so much so that my agility has gone to S#&$.  the problem is that for some reason, roll is now also tied to hold to crouch which it wasnt before.  I tried out warframe on my xbox back in september and i noticed this issue right away, now the issue has been brought to PC.  i only needed to click the right trigger to slide, not hold it.  now that it seems to require a hold, the half second delay has made the game frustrating to play.  I didnt have it set to toggle before, the slide would last as long as i held the stick down.  i already have roll tied to my sprint button, so why is it also tied to the hold to crouch button.  Is there anyway the controls can go back to before update 15, when i was playing on PC back in August, these problems didnt exist so it must have come with U15.  Is there any fix in the works, because the game is unplayable for me.

  12. I have been debating this internally for a while now. I like the quick updates of PC but I have friends I actually know on xbox one. I figured I would migrate my account and do my part to try to grow the xbox community. Also have to deal with the fact that i have 1700 plat on PC that likely wont tranfer over. Plus im curious as to how well it will look on xbox one. My PC has been showing its age and would probably be in the low-mid range by now. I also already play with a controller on PC,so not much change there.

    Overall im willing to give up the PC updates speed in exchange for better visuals and my friends. Just gotta spend that plat before I migrate.

  13. the problem is that many of the menus were partially usable when the update first aunched, but at some point a hotfix removed the limited functionality we had.  im hoping that the new UI, which is would be much easier to navigate with a controller than the previous one, will be updated to allow us to be able to do anything with a controller.

I have been trying for the last hour to finish lvling my redirection mod and the game is refusing to let me do so.  every frame i own has the shield mod on a D polarity and at lvl 9 comes to 13 mod slots, decreased to 7 by polarity.  Yet when i add the last few fusion cores to get it to rank 10, it tells me that numerous warframe builds go over mod value limit.  but it shouldnt.  if all of my redirections on all of my builds are in a D polarity slot, then a rank 9 mod worth 13 points should cost 7.  if i rank it to ten the mod will cost 14 mod points but still cost 7 points to equip due to polarity yet it tells me i have gone over my limit on my builds, which it shouldnt.

     

    cue secod issue.  when the window comes up to tell me a specific build will go over due to me increaseing the lvl of my mod, it gives me the option to uninstall the mod on the build or to cancel the fusion.  if i select to remove the mod the entire menu locks up.  the game is still running but the menu will not close or respond to at all.  i tried to wait to see if it would work again, but after waiting for 15 minutes its not going to fix itself, requiring me  to reload the game.

     

    so we have 2 issues:  fusion code or logic is flawed and is incorrectly adding up mod values and the uninstall option during mod fusion causes the entire fusion menu to lock up.

  15. it is the way it should be now.  volt is a good frame for new players, loki isnt, and volt was originally one of the starter frames when the game first released.  it doesnt devalue any of your work, they are rearranging how things work so that new players are more likely to stick around.  now if they made vauban a starter frame you would have room to complain, but right now you dont.

  16. it could be possible to do this with some of the newer warframes, but for the phase one warframes (ex. trinity, ember)it would be much more difficult.  DE has already said that it is difficult to add cloth and dangle physics to them because of how they were made.  something about how the designs are all one model, whereas the new ones have multiple layers.  so if they cant add physics to something like trinity's skirt, i could be equally difficult to remove it.

     

    though i would like some more customization options outside of helmets and syandanas.

  17. Who said this needs to be fixed? >< That would be the best reward I've ever gotten from Defense.

     

    you dont actually get the maxed mod.  the game improperly displays it as a reward when in reality u got nothing.

  18. Fleeting is fine the way it is.  it doesnt work for a lot of warframes and for the ones that it can be used, it limits your flexibility.  so low power cost at the expense of flexibility and versatility seems balanced to me.

  19. I want it, I'm a huge Excalibur fan, but I can't justify the 150 plat cost. I could buy three immortals for the same price. Also I only have 140 plat atm and I never buy more unless I get a 50% discount reward. So I'm in a bit of a predicament.
