  1. I just hopped into Warframe for the first time since the release of the recent update with the new melee changes, and I gotta say I'm having a love-hate relationship with it.

    The new effects are great and the new flow is also fairly enjoyable, but as someone who used melee and channeling a lot (almost exclusively because it's satisfying to me) the new melee system just doesn't feel very good. Melee was fairly satisfying the way it was previously and I don't feel like it needed a change but acknowledge that not everyone shares that same opinion. However, with this new change channelling feels incredibly gross to use.

    The fast switching when meleeing is really nice and feels very smooth, but I don't like that aiming just goes to my gun now instead of blocking, and channeling is just nasty to use now as a toggle, especially when changing back to your gun turns it off. It just doesn't feel very good. A nice solution that wouldn't have been as drastic of a change would have been to have the new effects and fast switching, but still allow the player to hold down the weapon switch key to enter the old style melee only mode, or at the very least allow us to rebind the aim key to act as a channeling key (held not toggle) when our melee is out. I don't like the idea of just turning on channeling or turning it off as it's something that needs to be used with very fine control: you don't necessarily want to channel when you hit every enemy, you may only want to channel for large or specific enemies instead of wasting the energy on small ones, or you might only need to do it when you need to use lifestrike... or if you're someone who enjoys the synoid heliocor, that weapon is a lot less useable now.

    I know that a lot of people are of the mindset "why are you even using channeling" and I think that just shows DE really needs to take a look specifically at channeling and how it works. With this new update I feel like channeling has significantly degraded in value and usability.

     

    tldr: new channeling is less usable, feels bad, and doesn't flow in combat at all.

  2. I think a squad member left the squad while at the gate on the plains of eidolon, and now "Get to the objective. Players waiting for you: 0" is stuck on my screen with a waypoint to the gate.

    Also I might as well mention it seeing as it's in the same screenshot, but the big brown smoke effect on mesmer skin at night on the plains is absolutely nauseating when running around and jumping as it covers almost the entire screen qq

Based on my own playtime, and based on what pretty much everyone else who has replied said, his thrall limit needs to be increased because a hard cap of four with no health or damage buffs is entirely worthless as an ability, to the point where it might as well not even be an ability as aside from some synergy with his other abilities it's pretty worthless, which you don't even have enough time to use your abilities on them as they die nearly instantly if you have teammates. I like his other three abilities, but the thralls in their current state aren't even worth using at all which is disappointing as I absolutely love controlling enemies. Perhaps increase the cap and maybe give them some sort of buff or allow us to control them a bit more (make them murder eachother, sleep, etc?) Right now it feels like Nyx's chaos but with a cap of 4, limited to one enemy per cast, and a nice little floating shard effect.

    After killing all of the sentients Ballas sends out to murder you, shortly after he sets a tree on fire, nothing happens when the sentients are defeated. He just stands next to the tree, and I lose access to my abilities/weapons but other than that he just does nothing and nothing happens.

     

    Edit: Tried restarting the mission, same issue at the same spot again. Balas just sits here and does nothing.

    Edit 2: Not using exalted blade in the last part of the mission seems to fix it, at least it did for me.

    During the sacrifice, after umbra takes off and leaves you in operator mode in the orbiter, you can switch back to the umbra warframe by exiting operator mode and then opening & exiting the arsenal, or in the arsenal you can switch the loadout to a different one and then switch back for the same effect. Umbra will be re-equipped and you can use him like normal, even though he took off and shouldn't be equipable anymore.

     

    I can go finish the quest to find him as him lol

    Limbo so much. Even though they reworked him he's just as annoying if not more annoying. His damn stasis ability just ruins any type of ranged weapon considering all of us are affected by it.     I agree that Limbo's stasis should not affect squad mates. Also each Limbo should have their own rift, because if there's another Limbo in the squad the stasis constantly turning on and off for enemies you banished becomes incredibly annoying. Like you basically can't use him if there's another one with you because the abilities conflict. I enjoy playing him for his ability to dash in and out of the rift, but purposefully avoid using his 2 & 4 as much as possible because it really just sucks in a squad situation unless it's an absolute emergency. I also hate how his 1's radial banish thing can affect allies because it makes it incredibly difficult to banish what you want to without also hitting a squad mate in the process. I currently main him but I absolutely agree that the way he is currently makes it way too easy to piss off allies, though I think he's great in solo.

    Also, if you glow blue it is not a core; if it vanishes after a set timer, it is not a core. If it has a rod of white light sticking out of a pulsing ball, it is not a core.

     

    I always bring animal instinct. Also I know what the cores look like, just sometimes the exceptional core literally just won't appear for a player. No amount of loot radar or searching can find it. It's a bit annoying and time wasting.

  8. If the fishing spear is thrown in the rift while stasis is active, you become frozen and cannot move until stasis ends as the spear is unable to return to the user. You can at least dance while stuck, so I guess it's not that bad.

  9. I've noticed that occasionally when not hosting a squad, returning from the plains while it is in the middle of day, it is the middle of night for Cetus, however the squad host sees Cetus as been in the middle of the day. I'm not sure if this is specific to hosts vs non-hosts or if this is just something that can happen to any player regardless of role, but it seems to happen to me whenever I'm not the squad host. It seems like it's just staying whatever time it was for me before I left out to the plains, though I could be wrong.

  10. Due to player icons appearing on top, multiple players crowding around a Cetus vendor hides the vendor's icon on the map, making them difficult to see on the map despite the change to orange. Because Cetus is a very popular destination, this makes the vendor icons nearly useless as there will always be players crowding them.

  11. Aside from cores rolling or appearing a mile away from where they should be, I have noticed that occasionally (by occasionally I mean once per hunt) at least one squad member will completely lose a core, but not like it just rolled away, it's more like it just didn't spawn at all for them. I've had this happen to myself multiple times (yes I searched the entire area for the exceptional core) and it has happened to multiple friends. I've also noticed that sometimes when approaching a core, it will vanish when I'm about a meter away from it, and does not appear in my inventory.

    Also, despite a recent hotfix making cores float, they seem to very rarely actually float where they are, making them incredibly hard to see as they roll down the hill.

  12. Earlier I did a bounty and the first object was to escort a drone. The host for whatever reason disconnected causing a host migration. Once the squad reconnected, the drone target destination changed to 600 meters away from the original target, and once the drone reached extraction nothing happened. There was no bounty phase complete message, and no new objective.

  13. While in Limbo's rift Grineer mortars are currently able to still hit you, making the rift somewhat useless in certain areas of the plains. Seems to be any unit using the new explosive/mortars can hit through the rift, including the new mortar Grineer guys (I don't know their names), the stationary mortar/missile (I think?) launchers found at outposts, and those gunships that occasionally like to appear.

    Also the Teralyst's one ability he uses near the final stages that rains down pain from the sky also affects Limbo & allies through the rift, but I'm assuming that's intentional due to the nature of sentients, but thought it was worth mentioning anyway as no other Teralyst abilities go through the rift (other than when a limb is removed and he kinda explodes with energy) so I included it here just in case it's a bug.

    Same. Maybe we weren't actually supposed to be able to sit in the chair and get the lump yet, and DE fixed it in the new hotfix. Possible the room was just supposed to be a teaser and not actually let us do anything yet. 

  15. You can literally break through any wall or locked door with this. Was about to report it but then saw it here. As a side note there also seems to be a related bug which causes you to fall out of the map when switching to your operator.
