    One silver lining that came from this mistake is that we have decided we will revisit older LoS checks to use this improved version in a future update.

    Old LoS check:
    We do a raycast, basically draw a line from you to the enemies center and if nothing interrupts the line along the way they are considered on sight. Raycasts ignore other enemies.
    Additionally we had a bug that prevented it from working on ragdolled enemies, so if they were pulled by vortex or whatever they were totally invisible to the ability.

    The main problem with this approach(aside from the huge ragdoll bug) is that a single raycast can easily trigger as false if for example there is a small railing between you and the enemy. Abilities like Radial Blind, Vast Untime and Rotorswell for example use this same logic right now. 

    New LoS check:
    First if the enemy is within 5 meters we don't do LoS at all, we just assume they are visible. Then checks if the enemy is being rendered, which works for any enemies on screen, so if you see even their pinky toe, they are considered visible. Then for enemies behind you instead of one raycast it does three, one to the top, another to the center and finally to the feet and if any of them are successful, then we determine it is visible, this means false blocks are much less likely.

    Again, this should've never happened, but we will try to make the best of it, and hopefully the overall game will end up better for it.

    Candid question, if the playerbase still feels this isnt enough to keep him feeling good to play would you consider reverting the change and/or nerfing something else instead?

  2. Dante contributes 3 things: Overguard, Status vulnerability and AoE damage(dependant on status damage)  
    There are a number of other frames that contribute just as much durability to the team, while contributing other things as well. Styanax gives roughly 40% less overguard with his augment but he also gives a very large amount of energy regen to his team(and shields which is sometimes relevant) and he gets to constantly apply a large number of slash procs to enemies while generating overguard.  
    Revenant also gets to make the whole team literally immortal with his augment, on top of having extremely flexible subsume options(unlike Dante), CC and mobility.  
    Citrine gives 90% DR and 25hp/5 to the whole team, in addition to giving everyone red crits and again having flexible subsume options.  

    I could keep listing warframes, the point is that Dante really isnt gamechanging. He gives a bit more overguard than styanax and does good aoe damage as long as you arent doing very high level content(his kill speed slows drastically once he hits steel path). I didnt even get into the frames that are WAY better at clearing large groups of enemies than him once you hit even remotely difficult content.  
      
    So please, if Dante is being looked at, consider the bigger picture instead of just looking at Dante who frankly only really contributes Overguard to high end mission. He doesnt encroach on any of the 3 pillars that were mentioned on stream, his gameplay isnt automated, he's dominant currently because he JUST came out and he doesnt disrupt gameplay anymore than someone like Styanax or Saryn do. To nerf him when he doesnt meet the requirements for any of the pillars? that would be going against your own words.
    If you want to nerf the Overguard? sure, but buff Noctua so it's worth actually modding for damage instead of just using it as a buffer.

  4. I'm still not sure if it's intentional or an oversight, but Grendels 4 being unable to damage overguard on eximus enemies is extremely frustrating when all you want to do is meatball around spit on people.  
    He can still armor strip them, but it's like the damage on regurgitate is tied to the mini stagger it normally does, so it does zero damage to any overguard.

  7. Please considering increasing the buff from 30% to at least 75%, due to the nature of Roar it gives a drastically bigger buff than Eclipse and Eclipse only affects weapons and weapon like abilities.  
    Nourish gives +75% additive viral damage, but also has all the other benefits that come with it like increased energy, so for Eclipse to be competitive with Roar and Nourish it either needs to give a more comparable damage buff(75% at LEAST) or give the damage AND damage reduction at the same time(I doubt you'd do this ever)

    Oh I know, but sometimes I will be moving backwards to get a better angle to zip upwards and just zip into the floor. It's really annoying and given that they gave us this functionality because people complained we couldnt do it, but didnt make it optional for people that prefer to be able to strafe while void slinging? it feels pretty bad.
