  1. Long ago there was a people, whose name is now forgotten. Among them lived a certain girl. She was the brightest child, a flickering flame of hope and laughter. Her people cherished her, treasured her, loved her. Then, the Orokin came. They saw her, and they wanted her for themselves. The Orokin always took what they wanted. They forced her, twisted her, stoked the fire within, and when her powers awakened, she consumed them. The Orokin tried to use the constraints which had worked so many times before, but they could not control her. They were fools, and then they died. The flame, now set free, consumed all in its path. Her family tried to reason with her, but their words could not reach her heart. They were naive, and then they died. The blaze grew, reducing all to rubble. Her people, desperate to keep the fire from spreading, tried to destroy her. They were brave, and then they died. The inferno could not be controlled, reasoned with, or destroyed. The last remnants of her people, their hope and laughter dead, constructed a prison to contain her. They did what they had to, and then they died. Locked away beneath the earth, that fire still burns, in a cell covered in the soot of the last of her kin. Alone. As time passed, so too did memory. Few remember her, and fewer yet know her name, but I do. Cindra, the All-Consuming Flame. Tenno, are you sure it is a good idea to let her out? Mechanic: Gain a stack of Inner Fire every time one of your Heat procs deals damage. Passive: Your Heat procs have a % chance to spread to another nearby enemy on application. Heat procs applied by the passive cannot spread further. Ability 1: Ignition All enemies in a cone in front of you suffer a Heat proc with damage based on Power Strength. Ability 2: Heat Shimmer Consume a certain amount of Inner Fire stacks to grant yourself Shield/Overshield. Ability 3: Backdraft Consume a certain amount of Inner Fire stacks in order to eat the Heat procs of enemies around you, dealing immediate damage to all enemies affected, and regain stacks of Inner Fire for every Heat proc eaten. Ability 4: Eruption After a short delay, consume all of your Inner Fire stacks to deal proportional damage around you in a great explosion. The idea is simply a frame that is centered around using the status effect of her element. I am not a game designer, so I don't know if this sort of interaction would make her way too powerful, and I will also not say anything about numbers. Considering she uses a special resource for three of her abilities, I don't really know what to do about energy costs. Maybe the best way to do it would be to use cooldowns instead, like with Lavos. I figure she should have more shields than health, but other than that I don't know about stats. The overshield gained from Heat Shimmer could either simply be capped to an amount based on maximum shield, or it could reset to what the ability gives you every time the ability is used. As to design I have not thought too much about it, but if you are a person of culture you will see that she needs a pointy wizard hat. Maybe have it drawn down to cover her eyes most of the time, but have it hover a bit in the animation for her fourth ability. Considering the theme of fire, I am sure some warframe artist could make a suitably horrifying design for what the top of her head looks like. She sort of needs to be a good balance of cute and terrifying. The quest should be something like Tyl Regor being at it again and you having to race his toobmen to Cindra's prison, with the twist that part of the prison is a warframe suppression field, so you have to go in operator form. You then find her, free her, transfer in and wreck some grineer. I sort of have this scene in my head of her chained into a kneeling position in a blackened cavern, crying tears of fire, and you connect with her sort of like with Excalibur Umbra. Sounds a bit melodramatic written down, and I don't know how you would make it work visually in-game, but these are just ideas. Anyway, this whole thing is just something my brain came up with instead of letting me sleep when I woke up in the middle of the night. It was a fun creative exercise, if nothing else. Thanks for humoring my writer's madness, and have a good day.
