  1. to preface, i've got just short of 2,000 hours in warframe, and i've been playing off and on for 7 years. me, personally? i'm more than used to the concept of the timers on the foundry, as i'm sure most everyone who's invested enough in the game to post on the forums are. however, the problem comes in with new players, and the perception it brings. over my seven years of playtime, i've gotten roughly half a dozen of my friends to try the game with me. every single one of them has been immediately turned off and repulsed by the long foundry timers. they've all said, in some way or form, that it reminds them of a cheap mobile game. for most people, timers with options to pay to skip have a very bad mental association. for some of the people i've convinced to try warframe, this even contributed to them ultimately quitting early. so i know the general monetization philosophy of warframe is 'pay to skip' or 'pay to save time', but for this one in particular, are you really harvesting enough platinum out of people to make it worth it? at best, experienced players know to never waste platinum on foundry rushes, as the costs are extremely steep for what it actually gives, at worst, its a trap that baits new players into wasting their starting platinum on something they don't actually need, kneecapping them in the longrun. and, the most common, somewhere in the middle - it just makes the game overall look worse than it is.
  2. thats so bizarre, that option is just completely missing on PC
  3. i mean, i'm well aware of that, this post was more for a hypothetical 'what if' scenario, rather than a genuine concern something would break on my personal account.
  4. i would really love it if there were a way to preview skins in my arsenal that i dont own, so i could have it pseudo-'equipped' temporarily while i'm viewing it, so i could watch the colors or voidshell patterns change on it in real time, so i could see just how much i could customize it before buying it. id certainly get goaded into a lot more impulse purchases if i could set up my fashionframe ahead of time and find something i know i like.
  5. the test for mastery rank 24 requires you use your operator, and as far as i can tell nothing else is preventing you from making it that far without completing the second dream. i know its super unlikely, but does anyone know what happens if you try to enter that mastery test without ever having unlocked your operator?
  6. im pretty fond of both my operator and drifter, but dont really care to constantly manually switch between the two, but id love to make sure they both get some usage instead of having one gather dust, and thinking back on the last scene of The New War where both the operator and drifter phase between one another mid-conversation with the lotus, i think itd be pretty neat to have an option to have either one of them selected at random at the start of every mission, or even every time you use transference if its technically possible!
  7. i'm a big fan of the new damage numbers and UI changes with this most recent patch, but i noticed right away that the damage number display is very visually noisy and distracting for grendel in particular since hes always passively digesting, and the big flashy warframe ability purple numbers are all floating right over top of his model, and constantly pinging off with every tick. i'm sure this is a pretty big edge case, but could the effects for the numbers be toned down some for this particular instance?
  8. the last remaining k-drive fan here to say: riding around on a k-drive in the new war was awesome, and i'd really love to see that functionality back on a full-time basis, especially now that they can equip the harrier set - they practically look made to be tearing up the orb vallis on a board, yknow?
  9. after further play, i've realized the issue is with corpus nullifier units - if one is present anywhere within the radius of cataclysm, the entire thing collapses, which i guess is a known interaction. i thought this was a bug for days! thats kind of a horrible interaction, limbo can just randomly get melted in any corpus tileset.. anyway, my mistake, mods can close the thread
  10. when casting limbo's cataclysm, it seems to immediately detonate itself seemingly at random. i havent been able to discern a pattern for what exactly is causing it, but when it does occur, re-placing the cataclysm does not seem to work no matter how many times i do it, it simply immediately detonates itself again.
  11. so is this just a flat out bug? wish i would have known that before i burned the plat on this thing
