  1. Nice name for your first kubrow. Like someone else said already, you should name your future pets Tenno insults. Hope the dog grows up to be big and beefy.

I think it is so awesome that you are playing the game. How does it feel when you face off Tyl Regor in game?

Haven't faced off with Tyl yet, need to make my Archwing first!

  2. "Yes, Tenno. You heard right.

I got my first Kubrow today.

    It's a girl.

I named her Liz, in tribute to the Lizards.

    The ones that died.

Well, at least the ones that I killed."

    Here's a tweet I posted with a picture! https://twitter.com/LucasTheVANinja/status/694057235245318144

And before you ask, NO... this is NOT a part of the storyline of Tyl's. I'm just excited to be learning more about how to play Warframe and wanted to share a funny (true!) story about getting my first Kubrow. Thanks to Supernatural3 and FoxyLove for helping me to learn a lot more about how to play the game!

  3. And the Oscar prize goes to you !

    Audience-clapping.gif

"I'd like to thank all the Tubemen who made this possible, the phenomenal weapons of Ack & Brunt, and of course all the Tenno out there... this is really all due to you, you disgusting, foolish lizards!

Oh dear, I promised myself I wasn't going to cry..."

*a single tear flows upward from the top of his mask*

  4. question, if I crack open your head Fruit, what colour juice spills out?

lol jokes, love your voice acting, even after about 100 fights with regor to help others get equinox, Tyl is still perhaps my favourite villain. kudos to you for being a good sport and an awesome Voice Actor!

    IT'S HAMMER TIME!

Glad you like him so much! Hope he made your grinds a bit more bearable.

  5. I just wanna know if youve seen the new Mocap studio as DE and used it yet? Live action Regor for the win lol

Just pictures of the studio. It looks pretty sweet! With me in Chicago and DE in Ontario, it'd be hard to make the arrangements to do a mocap session... although I welcome the opportunity! (hint, hint, DE!)

  6. I've had a lot, a lot of lewd imaginations and fantasies when i first heard your voice, but now that lewdness reminds me, I have soem questions.

WHERE, on Alad, were you going to poke at him with your "stick"?

What HISTORY were you poking at with Natah and Hunhow?

Why are you so EXCITED about me popping by to murder you with a female warframe?

Is your laboratory a branch of from Aperture Science ("pound you into a tiny cube")

Why do you grunt and moan more than any other entity in this game?

    Let's answer these in order:

     - On his squishy body; certainly not his limp tentacles.

     - I don't know. That'd be a question for DE. And I'd be surprised if they'd share that info.

     - Hey, now... male or female: ALL WARFRAMES have head juice. And Tyl must know what colors they possess.

     - You never know. Tyl might as well be the Cave Johnson of Warframe.

     - You'd grunt/moan that much too if you had an upside-down face. And sexy vocal chords.

    Hope that helps!

  7. EDIT: August 24, 2015 ... 10:00 P.M. CST

Voting has concluded. Zombie Vikings did not win the event; Grow Home carried a very large 44% of the total votes over ZV and the other contender, Armello (who pretty evenly split the remaining votes).

Thanks to all who supported the process!
    - Lucas
    ===============================================

    Hey hey, guys!!

So, here's the deal: I've been working on this awesome game called "Zombie Vikings", providing voices for 20 different characters (including two of the large supporting roles in the game)... working alongside a crew of around 15 incredible voice actors, amazing artists/game designers and even Zach Weinersmith of "Saturday Morning Breakfast Comics" (writer for the game)!

And now, Playstation 4 players have the chance to get the game for free! There are three games vying for the top spot (Zombie Vikings, Armello and Grow Home) and the one that snags first place will be free to PS Plus members in September (while the other two get a nice member discount).

Watch the video for more info, annotations and silly voices; and share, bump and signal boost this baby to anyone else who can help out.

Many thanks, Lizards-- d'oh! I mean, "Tenno"! "TENNO!"

     - Lucas Schuneman (voice of Tyl Regor/Nef Anyo in "Warframe")

  8. seriously dude your work is gold. we should be thanking you and hoping they give a cutscene as tyl regor.....or at least get the role for a warframe anime.

Anything Tyl Regor would be fine by me. I'd prefer him sitting in a high-backed chair in front of a fireplace all "Masterpiece Theatre" style, just reading stories to attentive lizards.

Nef Anyo is still slated for a full boss rework at some point right? And VoiceActingNinja does that voice too right?

So, we may be seeing a lot more of his voice, just a different character.

You know ... if it wasn't for you guys (by which I mean EVERYONE ON THE FREAKING FORUMS) I wouldn't know a darn thing about who's coming up for what battle or re-work or event or whatever ... hell, at this point I'm relying on you guys to tell me what's coming next!

  9. I'm also 99% certain you're not the first professional voice actor to hit Warframe. The VA for Simaris sounds really familiar, I just can't place him (and judging by my Google results, neither can anyone else).

I first started auditioning for Warframe characters back in October of last year... so if it's been that long, I'm sure there are more than a few working voice actors that phased through from the ether to help out!

  10. Hey, I just wanted to drop in here and say that Tyl Regors voice work is definitely my favourite voice acting in the game thusfar. You did a great job sir.

Here's hoping more of DE's character work holds your interest as much as mine did!

    No , we thank, YOU.

I always will remember you as M.C. Regor.

"You give me a Fomorian mansion... and you get a different outcome.

That is... I won't file for bankruptcy."

  11. UPDATE as of 8/28/2015 ... Natah Quest quotes have been added to the Wiki! THANK YOU!!

    ----------

...first off, thanks for your contributions!

Second, thanks for adding Tyl's quotes from both the Tubemen Of Regor and Boss Battle events.

But is there a way you could add Tyl's quotes from the Natah Quest? I'm asking strictly for my own archiving/portfolio work, but I'm sure there might be a fangirl/fanboy out there that might want to download a copy of Tyl whispering to them "Open wide."

    Thanks!

     - Lucas Schuneman (voice of Tyl Regor and Nef Anyo)

P.S. Sorry for posting this in General Discussion, apparently it needed to be in Off-Topic. Apologies.

  12. More polite response than I'd have given. Whenever someone tells you that you really only like something because of the "internet hive mind", there really isn't any more discussion to be had.

Well that's no reason to be rude to anyone.

My mindset to the Internet has always been focused on a "civil exchange" format.

    No reason to stop now.

I'm speaking solely for myself, obviously. Tyl Regor is an a**hole online.

  13. Tyl Regor is extremely over-acted. I suppose people here confuse "liking the character" with "liking the voiceactor's talent".

Frankly, I'm not impressed by his voice, and I don't think his voice is any better than the other characters'.

I'm pretty certain the reason people are so pleased about Tyl's voiceacting is merely because they heard he was the first external, professional voiceactor called for the game - so they convinced themselves his voice is good.

Me? I'm a voiceacting addict. Checking out voiceactors and making comparisons is my hobby - a hobby that probably comes from my studies, as I am an Italian with a bachelor's degree in Japanese language and a master in English language (basically: languages, words and speeches are my passion).

Tyl's voice leaves me unimpressed, and I fail to see why some people talk so much about it.

You don't know how the internet hivemind works.

When people tell you something is good (or bad), you will convince yourself it's good, to a form of mass hysteria.

    Notable examples:

    1) GTA5

    2) Skyrim

    3) All those videogames that are the greatest thing ever when released, and suddenly get forgotten when the mass hysteria ends (i.e. Bioshock Infinite)

    4) The movie Avatar

    5) Etc.

First off, thank you for your opinion. Seriously, it's truly a welcomed read.

If everyone who responded to this was in favor of Tyl's characterization, I think it would be an unfair representation of the public. There's no way everyone can be happy with a character's performance ... so it's very humbling to hear opinions from the other side of the fence.

    That being said:

     - What would you like to hear different?

     - How do you feel the character could be improved?

     - What aspects of the character are lacking?

     - Where would you, as a creative director, make the necessary changes so he could appeal to a larger cross-section of the community?

These are the kinds of questions that any creative team would ask themselves to help further develop the voice, writing, lore or any other specific detail of a character. As I've read from your previous posts, I haven't seen much constructive criticism... and noting your post where you stated about your "addiciton"/love of voice acting, you should be aware that no voice actor should be shy of receiving criticism ... as long as that criticism is constructive, unbiased and meant to encourage creative growth. I'm no different; I'm always open to hearing what listeners have to say about a character, be it good or bad... again, as long as it's a step toward nurturing a more well-developed creation.

I look forward to reading your reply.

    Regards,

     - Lucas Schuneman (voice of Tyl Regor and Nef Anyo in Warframe)

  14. Just one question.

Where were you when Bioware was hiring for Male Shepard? Seriously?

Ummmm... I apparently was NOT in Canada, as Mark Meer & Jennifer Hale (male and female Shepard, respectively) both were. Of course, the fact that both of these actors had worked with Bioware over and over BEFORE they needed a Shepard ... that played a big factor. And geez, Jennifer Hale? The queen of video game voiceover?! The woman is a genius.
