  1. YES! YES YES YES and YES again! Also agree that Crush should do most damage to heavy armor types - we have Ember who does her best against lightly armored targets, the inverse could be true for Mag's Pull and Crush to promote more variation between Frames. If Pull were to add a decent amount of "crushing" (new damage type that does bonus dmg to heavier armor?) damage to a single enemy that is pulled it might make it a more popular (and RELEVANT) choice to slot in as a mod. Have her pull the enemy in, as usual. Enemy falls on face at Mag's feet, who has her open fingered hand still extended and
  2. The presence of one does not mean the exclusion of another. I agree fully with you - we need more rifles - more primary weapons in general, actually. There are so many melee weapons you can't spit in the market without hitting one. But IMO it would be even better to get more variation going - stealthy, silenced SMG's AND blastathon Rotary Cannons.
  3. THIS is a great reason for NOT implementing it. I see your point, dude, and now I actually agree. You are right - we are not ready for this... yet :D Perhaps a good starting point will be when giving up your melee weapon becomes a bigger sacrifice than it currently is? Implement an overheat mechanic. Be unable to sprint at anything above 50% of your normal rate (you cannot just run through a level covering everything in bullets, your quicker teammates will run ahead n blast everything before you even get to smell battle). Make equipping the gun on a mission give you half shields (your sui

  5. Ode to the narrow minded - someone yelled TF2 and now every detractor latches onto it like a beacon. Newsflash, people - games can borrow and successfully incorporate ideas from other games without BECOMING them. Did you guys &!$$ and moan about the flamethrower and rocket launcher making it into the game? Sniper Rifles? Cuz, damn, they sure don't have THOSE in Team Fortress. NOTHING fits the 'lore' until they MAKE IT UP! That is what lore in a game - fictional backstory that they can do whatever the hell they want with to suit their needs. It is malleable! Ultimately DE will make the
  6. A minigun does not a team based PvP game make... And what lore? That seems to be one of the generic reasons given when someone does not agree with something like this subject. The lore is nowhere near finished, there are more factions incoming, tons of new content will be released in order to keep customers interested. Variety in methods for slaughtering foes will always be key in a game that is about farming. Look at Diablo as a (admittedly not perfect) example. Different ways to play the game are required when you are essentially playing the same content over and over and over. Please, l
  7. OR - the minigun could be its own class of weapon, which comes with double/triple the normal amount of ammo but disables your melee weapon slot, replacing it (visually) with some sort of non-bulky ammo pack, eliminating the need for loads of extra animation. It might be fun to try a different approach to the game 200 hours in. Options are nice to have. You would still have your trusty sidearm for run and gun, then switch back to you big boy and provide fire support from the back line when the inevitable tides of enemies spawn. You can always buy ammo packs if you are worried about running
  8. I realize that the current style of play does not fit a minigun, but why can't the game expand further to accommodate alternate styles? As an existing example: Defense/Mobile Defense missions do NOT require a whole lot of run and gun action from everyone- a minigun would make perfect sense when you are trying to defend a static objective... As for not fitting lore - Lore has not even nearly finished developing. As for ninja feel: sure, some Frames and weapons give you that slick look and feel, but others (Rhino, Gorgon, HEK, Fragor) have nothing to do with that particular aesthetic. So
  9. Minigun!!! Have it be compact on your back and then expand and transform into this big mutha nightmare piece of hardware (would have to be reverse engineered Grineer stuff?) To seperate it from the pack, maybe have it's bullets offer a passive stun AND pierce chance (that stacks with mods). However, when selected (being held in hand), it causes your Frame to move half as quickly, firing forces you to 'walk', moving while firing causes accuracy to drop drastically and you cannot shoot while in the air.
  10. ... *looks at above post* Soz, dunno how that formatting happened...
  11. plznohurtme says : edit: While I was doing math other posts were added, huzzah. If the Braton Vandal were to be buffed and the Braton left where it is then the Dera and the Burston would need pretty much immediate attention as well (not saying they shouldn't, but it throws the general "assault rifle" style weapon into further disarray).
  12. Lol, saw this and almost snorted my coffee out of my nose :D I didn't actually think this was a terrible idea... Why is it a terrible idea?
  13. Buff Vandal back to original stats, leave current Braton as is. Then make Vandal (with different skin) available for 500 plat in store (to keep it semi exclusive). FIXED!
  14. Multislash... The Holy Grail of melee. Just imagine... TWO GLAIVES taking forever to come back to ye! No but seriously, MULTISLASH NAOW PLZ PLZ PLZ!!!
