If I was on a bad console like Xbox one, and they implemented what you said, why would I choose to always join a session that will probably disconnect me before I even load in, instead of making my own public steel path survival fissure that I won't lag out of.

I see. I guess we can scrap that part about choosing to always host.

However, I still think that being able to opt out of hosting would be nice.

I have said this many times over the years. I don't care about the aura. It gives a Infested a threat to the player. I don't care about the hookshot. Having a gap closer forces players to pay more attention. BUT allow the hookshot to drain Energy on hit is the issue. Just make it so hookshot can never drain Energy. Players will be more happy. Less complaining.

It's not only the hookshot. They drain energy with every attack except the one that knocks you down.

Fr it’s not a coincidence that most frames have low usage and come from railjack

We got Sevagoth, Oberon, Ash, Valkyr Prime, Nyx Prime

And I never see them, and nobody ever talks about them (with the exception of that thread about Valkyr)

I totally forgot they also moved Ash there. No reason for that, either.

Oberon could serve as a good entry-level support warframe, but now we have him locked behind railjack out of all places.

Out of all the things like budget and time limitations, limited amount of devs, convoluted code, you decided to go with the "devs are evil" option.

They have 300+ employees. If it were small studio doing this then I would be in awe. That's not the case here. And again 2 things: "work smarter not harder" and "not saying they are lazy".

As stated by a different poster above, not all of those 300 are devs, and we can assume a large chunk works on Soulframe. Heck, feel free to count the people in the dev team credits, but even there you will find people not directly involved in development, such as the community team and marketing.

It's quite funny that you say they should work smarter while admitting you have no idea about their work. Come on.

"estimated 1200", chances are that estimate is way off considering that just before the sony buyout they had 600 staff members. i HIGHLY doubt that they scaled to double their employee count within a year.

Not sure where you're taking your numbers from, but here it says they had around 900 last year. The article didn't age very well, though.

that argument isnt valid in 2023. 7 years ago yeh maybe, not anymore.

Google Digital Extremes and you will find they have Liyou as a parent company and the top result is literally "Digital Extremes Ltd. proudly ranks as one of the world's top development studios in the interactive entertainment industry." that is FAAAR from "small and indie", they dont get to have that excuse anymore

I think it is valid. They currently have around 300 employees. By comparison, companies like Bungie have around a thousand, and Destiny 2 is still underperforming.

*sigh* What's the difference between scaling damage of abilities like I suggested AND archon hunt squaling? Don't play developer here - no implementation details. What exactly do you mean.

    From wiki

Is it 1 or 2? Or both?

In case of (1) abilities with +300% strength would be simply maxed (or near that state).  For example Dagath/1 would always slow down to capped 90% (afair) slowness. What's the point of that stat? Maybe someone doesn't want this, even moding for negative strength? Health & shield bonus Would be fine but that's about survivality.

In case of (2) we have it already in SP (in some way) that does this. It could "work" but we need to to do some balances - decrease abilities damage because they are too strong.

I am going to play developer, because this is what it boils down to. Would you rather apply an already existing system (the 2 you mentioned) to the rest of the game, or go through every single ability to make sure it scales properly?
