  1. Right now I confronted the Acolytes over 100 times, and I still don't have all the mods.

This type of Events should always have a guaranteed to get X item if you Kill/Complete Y times, but no, it's DE way we have to rely on a flawed RNG with rates around 1~4%.

Same can be said with any other reward in the game (sorties, void, etc.), Warframe is a frustrating game we get no rewards for our dedication and time.

  2. So Phobos Excavation enemies are still the wrong kind and still dealing way more damage than other missions on Phobos.

It's not just in Phobos but around a level range, and only affects Grineer, https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/573151-grineer-excavation-missions-lv-2030-damage-values/

Anyone who tried to get Limbo recently can confirm.

And yes you're right, they haven't fixed a thing.

  3. 101 successful runs and not a single rare mod from Stalker's fan club.  lol, I think I'm done with this nonsense.

Again, DE, stop relying on your twisted RNG system for limited time events.  Only sadists approve of it...

I agree, I got over 20 common mods from each Acolyte, and not a single 1 rare.

This is not rewarding at all, as always, Warframe is a frustrating mess when it comes to rewarding players.

  4. Well, there are options in the launcher which the devs can put there an option for the users to revert the changes. And don't bother using resources used better elsewhere crap because there is that lightning stuff being done when the issues were hardly noticeable and the result is a far better looking game which the old PhysX can do.

Or was your PC not fit for PhysX? Seems like it. There are far better cards available then what you had. Two cards aren't required.

Even a GTX 980 Ti can't run PhysX in-games without having a major performance hit, if you want to use PhysX without major performance hit, you need a dedicated PhysX card.

Even the NVidia fanboys know this, not everyone likes to play with framedrops and FPS below 60.

And of course, it all depends on the amount of particles and calculations the developers use with PhysX, but you're still better off with a dedicated card.

PhysX Benchmark that proves what I said (increases framerate by 50%): http://www.volnapc.com/uploads/3/0/9/1/30918989/8148683_orig.png

PS: You need two cards that have around the same raw performance to avoid bottlenecks.

  5. I did some looking into the locked thread and Glen mate, I don't see much of the hate or abusive comments you claim were directed at you.

I mean sure, some did have some spice. One dude said you deserved backlash, for example. But I didn't see anything that was actually attacking yah. Infact, you're lucky that the comments you got were pretty cool and collected... For the most part.

If you announced that controversial post in Region, you'd be flooded with people saying they want to skin your cat, murder your mother, and steal your cheerios. That sorta stuff is uncalled for.

But all I saw was criticism mate. And you're a professional programmer! You went to college and earned yourself the spot you're at in life right now. I'm sure you can handle some spicy criticism without throwing it all out the window and dismissing it as a bunch of hate. Yer better than that.

And y'know, the folk in that thread were right. Your testing pool was too shallow and too precise. The more random variables in a testing grounds, the more tests you have to run. And WF is full of those random factors.

Additionally, you should't be nerfing Excavation. All it'll result in is more talk of nerf down the line, because people always gravitate to the most effecient path. Nerfing the mode won't do anything to change that.

Instead of nerfing the mode, how about make drops more mission-type reliant? Have some things only ever drop from Survival. Some things only ever drop from Exterminate. Some things only ever drop from Rescue, Hive, ect.

People play Excavation because the drop tables between it and other missions are exactly the same. Excavation just gives those tables out in the most effecient manner.

Disagree entirely in the different loot tables through different game modes.

You would be removing freedom of play style from players, not everyone plays and likes Excavation.

I personally hate and rarely play Excavation myself, and being forced to play Excavation to get an item I need, is just making the experience even more frustrating than already is (considering the RNG).

Plus Grineer are still OP and bugged in Excavation missions, they do more damage than Void T4 and destroy Excavators in seconds, ridiculous. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/573151-grineer-excavation-missions-lv-2030-damage-values/

  6. He's talking about bosses in sabotage missions that literally drop a key, an in-game object you have to carry (like a data mass) back to the generator to continue the mission.

Since the key is dropped off the boss as a physical in-game object, if the boss is sent flying by a weapon with a lot of physics force the key might be flung out of the map or somethig.

Oh I know, Void Sabotage Missions.

Unless there's a recent bug, you can't send the Key away flying with powers or anything.

  7. It's your secondary.  If a secondary also uses sniper ammo (Talons, Castanas, Angstrum, etc.) it limits the pool of the primary.

This is known and not a bug, etc.

Doesn't make much sense either way, it doesn't happen with other weapons that use the same ammo type (primary and secondary), or at least I haven't notice it.

  8. Miyamoto Mushashi? Nito-ryu?

(one of the) First thing he says in his book is that you should wield the Katana (the bigger sword) with one hand.

BTW he did know what he was saying... he did win about 60 duels...

Katanas are wielded with two-hands, he means that you don't dual-wield Katanas. If he's actually saying a Katana is used with 1 hand only, it kills the entire video, cause that is totally wrong.

I practised Kendo for 10 years and it's as close as you get as a Katana fighting style nowadays. Samurais practised Kenjutsu that is a dead art that evolved to Kendo and Iaido, and they all use Katanas with two hands.

There's a reason for the Katanas to have a long grip.

  9. Like I said waste of time, already resorting to insults and I'm the only one who presented proper evidence so far, move on.

At least I had fun in the end, gotta love when people thing they know you and miss every spot of it.

Like I said Robm, until DE optimizes DX11 to the level it was months ago at least, DX12 will be a waste of time and resources.

I could keep debating and presenting further evidence and articles and all that, but would just derail this thread and sure as hell don't have the patient for debates online.

  10. Every time a new update comes up I'm always afraid my PC will not able to handle it but then I'm always wrong.

I play WarFrame from a laptop (actually a workstation) which has not a gaming GPU (I use a Quadro instead of regular GTX because of my job).

Although I am still able to keep ALL settings to max and still be able to run the game perfectly even having a non-gaming laptop.

Are you guys sure you don't just have your OS messed up? Because, at least to me, this game looks pretty easy to handle and not high power demanding at all.

I play Ryse and Battlefield 4 at max settings (1080p) and I get constant 60FPS.

On Warframe since U17, no matter the settings I have drops to 40FPS.

My PC is more than fine.

  11. *cracks knuckles & claps hands* y'all decided to be ignorant in the wrong Thread.

Warframe has constant Optimization being worked on. Warframe is actually extremely well Optimized inside of limitations.

freak results on a incredibly small percentage of users should be something to talk to Support about, not blindly whine the game is fat.

    Warframe is completely CPU bottlenecked.

    you have it literally backwards.

quite a few optimizations of the sort you're talking about are decided on with noticing that it hurts high end machines considerably as well.

    1 - Warframe supports 2 CPU Threads. hasn't managed 3 yet.

2 - you should learn what Load Balancing is going on inside your Computer. all of your Threads reporting usage does not mean the game is actively using all of those Threads.

3 - just because your Processor isn't visually drowning on a report, doesn't mean it isn't swamped. updating graphs once per second misses a lot of spikes in usage. such readouts are used for getting a vague estimate, not accurate information.

If someone else has nothing better to do go ahead, but this guy will protect DE and his theory no matter what, know the type.

All I can say is that Warframe runs worse since U17 DE knows about it and hasn't done a thing so far, they probably don't know the source of the problem.

And Warframe uses all the 6 cores of my CPU (25~30%), without the game running both Windows and normal programs barely touch my CPU.

DirectX12 should not be implemented until DE optimizes DirectX11, the optimization they broke since U17.

Killing the theory of game only using 3 cores and showing Windows nor background programs impact the CPU (even had chrome and other programs open to kill the theory further): http://imgur.com/a/XtT9S

It's that simple, I wont go further with this would be a waste of time, people either accept the facts or are to proud to accept they're wrong and will only derail this thread and cause flame, I'm out.

  12. You don't need the 3 data points, there's no requirements besides the mission tier.

You wont get all the parts in a single Spy Mission. I managed to get Ivara in less than 5h due to doing multiple Spy Missions across multiple planets, most of the parts I got them on first run.

Right now I can't remember where I got them though, I'm sorry, It was some time ago and I've been away from Warframe recently.

It doesn't matter if you're detected neither but keep it mind, the less data points the lower your chances (cause less rewards).

  13. DX12 will require significant changes to game engine.

It will bring a lot of benefit but only after a lot of parts of engine will get remade.

    Its probably DX12 legacy mode a.k.a. DX11.3.

If you take Ashes of Singularity that was specifically desinged for DX12 and AMD video card that also was designed for DX12 you get 100% more performance.

    http://wccftech.com/ashes-singularity-alpha-dx12-benchmark/

You're right and he's wrong, we can start by the fact that Ark doesn't fully support DirectX12 yet.

This game has a massive single-thread CPU usage, check each core of the CPU, you should see one at 90-99% while the others are almost untouched.

With DX12 this problem should get solved.

False the game has proper multi-threading support and none of my cores is over 50%, you all going after the false press with no proper knowledge in IT, just because a game doesn't use DX12 doesn't mean it doesn't have multi-threading support.

Unless someone else knows what he's talking about don't say anything at all please, most of you are spreading misinformation from the press and no proper facts nor reality.

  14. as far as on DE's end yes it was fixed, so try resetting your router etc. you could also open a support ticket they are quite good at troubleshooting with you to try and solve the problem though there maybe be a wait as i would imagine their staff is reduced for the holidays

It wasn't fixed, this isn't a connection problem happens on both single-player and multiplayer.

I used to play the game at maxed settings and get stable 60FPS, since U17~18 no matter the settings I get drops to as low as 30 and my CPU (25%) and GPU (40%) usage are extremely low.

  15. How would it not gain any benefit? DX 12 is nothing like DX 11 or 10. I wouldn't mind 10-15 extra FPS while doing Defense missions and survival missions. And since the game is free to play a lot of people are running low end systems and probably would like the extra FPS as well.

Problem is the developers can't optimize the game for DirectX11, leave alone DirectX12.

Since U18 my game has FPS drops to 30~45 I used to play the game maxed out at 60 stable FPS, using MSI Afterburner shows both CPU (25%) and GPU (40%) usage low it proves how badly optimized the game is becoming.

Performance could improve with DirectX12 no doubt about that, but we have major bugs and performance problems on older APIs that should take priority.
