    That was the point 😜 It's all about nuance.

    Point being, there's too much stuff hidden in there for it to be "abandoned".
    I dare say Lunaro and Frame fighter are abandoned, they're at the bottom of the barrel and they have absolutely nothing that is spectacular enough to be lit back into hype.
    PoE and OV however are far from that, there's a lot of things that can be worked upon, it's just one of these moments where DE decided to focus on something else.

    The wording was mostly in reply to Op's end of the world scenario in which PoE and Orb Vallis were completed left to rot.
    PoE probably is gonna get its rework and addition after the OV model is completed instead of juggling back and forth between empty map expansion.
    ( Imagine making PoE 9 time bigger just to use their new updated geo-building methods, but leaving it just as empty. )

    It's not on the schedule currently so I don't expect it to show up this year, feel free to drop a question in the next Devstream, see what's their thought on that.
    I'd very much like to know what happens with the Orokin tower, the Quills and mostly know when it is that I can put my fist in Nef Anyo's Profitable face.

  2. PoE and Orb Vallis both have content to go on.
    The orokin tower,
    new eidolons,
    the Quill,
    the two other Orbs fight,
    Nef Anyo himself, all of that still has to go through.

    The content may not happen immediately as we've got plenty of stuff to go through this year to structure the universe a bit more, but it's bound to happen eventually specifically because it's content that caught player's attention and has a chance to bring in money.

    So no, not abandoned, simply postponed.
    I'd probably be burned out with creating the open world if I had to go through 3 years of it just to wrap it up nice and neatly so I'm good with waiting.

  3. Well if you're gonna make a video on these to help newbies and for entertainment, doesn't hurt to help a bit since I complete rivens for my entire clanmates.
    *To be noted there's probably ways that are easier that I don't use because I'm just too lazy to find other means*

    Challenge ; Get the killing blow on "x" amount of Sentient.
    Solution : Enter Plain of Eidolon at night and use Operator mode to kill Vombalyst whilst a riven is equipped.
    Side note : If the challenge include a modifier like "While invisible", you can try projectile Amps or Void Dashing damage to finish them off.
    This will give you enough time to trigger invisibility.

    Challenge ; Find "x" amount of caches.
    Solution : Plain of Eidolon's bounties contain an objective in which you need to find 3 caches in a small area, those actually count.
    Otherwise it's very easy to memorize the cache placement of Earth Sabotage nodes.
    Side note : If the challenge include a modifier like "Undetected", be wary to not trigger the actual Sabotage objective as it will raise the alarm.

    Challenge ; Synthesis a Simaris Target without ability or Traps.
    Pre-phase ; Pick a target from Cephalon Simaris in the relay, don't rely on your teammates to find a target.
    Pre-phase 2 ; You don't need to look for the target, just hold the scanner in your hand and press the aim button for a millisecond in every room, once you get close enough the Simaris Icon will mark the target for you from as far as 3-5 rooms in advance.

    Solution : Target can be knocked down by melee attack or blast procs.
    Solution 2 : You may also use Warframe ability such as Rhino skin or Invisibility BEFORE the encounter, they will not trigger Riven failure.

    Challenge ; Kill "x" amount of airborne Condrocs
    Solution : In Plain of Eidolon, there's a massive sentient pillar towards the left side of the map (Next to the ocean) around which 4 Condrocs always flies in circle.
    If you miss those 4 shots, go back to Cetus and reload Plain of Eidolon.

    I'll stop right there, these are a few niche tricks for those challenges. that I personally use.
    I would've done other challenges but the solution to those is pretty vague "Use this warframe ability to do this obvious thing" doesn't really make for a good video.

  4. Doesn't that also kind of prevent the acolyte from dying until the duration is over?

    I mean, it's a strategy indeed, but it literally only takes one quick second of burst for me alone to drop the acolyte health to his fleeing state, I'd be kinda annoyed if someone used that strategy when I'm fully aware that he'd already be dead if it wasn't for someone else's interaction.

    I'm torn on this, because I could definitely see it as some sort of "Troll potential" causing some sort of misunderstanding considering it's an ability that prevents damage from actually ticking in real time until the duration is done.

  5. Eidolons and Arcanes are still practically the best and fasted Platinum grab so you'll still see a large amount of players going for it.
    There will, however, be a suddent decrease when Profit Taker hits because those players will be farming for new amps and cosmetics.
    Every second spent eidolon hunting is one not playing the new content so... That's bound to happen.

    As for in the long term? There's still another eidolon to be brought into the game, PoE still has a lot of unexplored story and with how improved Fortuna was in term of usage I'd say PoE is bound to get a map increase at some point along with new quests and bosses so you don't need to worry about that.

    Go for the first 3 combo you can get in the Quill's offering.

    The gist of it is ; Every amp combo is good/decent against the eidolon, they mostly all do the same ticks of damage if you're new to the whole eidolon fighting setup, but the big One Shot Meta works better with specific amps and specific school.

    You won't be able to achieve their Meta results without having a max school Madurai and cheesing mechanics.
    If you just want to go in and kill some eidolon with friends then pick whatever you can right now, and as you kill the eidolon you'll get enough standing to buy the next tier, then the next one up and until you reach a setup that you personally enjoy. (It would still technically work with the Meta either way)

  7. Haven't ever seen stat-bashing nor would I believe it could've ever been a thing.
    Shaming someone for being an old casual player is just stupid, in all terms and forms.

    At best, Mastery disgust and distrust might be the furthest I've experienced, but that's mostly because there's no real way to recognize skill other than that quick number so people usually sets a very tight barrier on their recruitment requirements and that alone can be considered a bit toxic since there's no real correlation.

    I'd say that looking through your stats and bashing you out of nowhere for little to no reason definitely deserves a report.
    By all mean, when you encounter someone like that, add them to your blacklist. You shouldn't ever see or hear from them again.

    Walking is a basic movement interaction, "Fortnite Default Dance" isn't.
    It's a signature dance move created by someone outside of Fortnite a mere 5 second of google will tell you where it comes from.

    Fortnite just so happen to have reproduced those many dance move through animation into the Fortnite universe without actually looking for the rights to do so, nor pointing towards a possible source.

    And this is why people don't take you seriously.

    Boosters won't help you, the only that will help you is how fast you manage to run the map and kill the boss as well as your very own luck on Drop %.
    Are you having a rough time killing the boss or is it just time consuming?

    As for limbo, there's a quest and a prime version. Not point in putting money in something you'll change in the next 5-10 days.

    I foresee invulnerability phases, Nullifiers, Operator static and Max damage capacity by weapon type. (Last one is a stretch I'll admit, DE would most likely work with Damage reduction instead)

  15. Honestly, what Abb said.

    You'd need all the moderation in the world to counter all the censorship evasion that region chat daily users are doing.
    There's simply way too much traffic for it to be used by new players.

    I was chilling in region chat a year back with a few of the moderators, simply helping them out answering questions on my spare time, the amount of warnings that had to be given every minutes was simply astonishing while in return we'd only get one to two new player asking a question about resources every 10 minutes.

    I say; Personally close up the box that is region chat and let the toxin stay inside.
    Open up a different chat bound by different rules made to answer questions specifically.
    If you moderate region chat to the brink of destruction all of the toxic hidden inside of it is going to overflow into trade and recruitment channels.
    Let region chat be "Social channel" and give an alternative for helpful advice.

    DE has PvP phase every year.
    This year it's a PvE style PvP race..?

    Last time it was Frame fighter, Lunaro, went as far back to PvP events, conclave and then all the way back to Dark sector.
    They always tries to entertain us for a bit with some fresh PvP stuff even though they never really work.

    Like he said above, I'd much rather see DE finish up the very promising system they've pushed forward instead of sidetracking for minigames that have no longevity whatsoever.
    It's fun that they're trying new things. It's less fun when you consider that all the time put on those minigames could've fixed an entire system by now.

  17. Not worth much honestly.

    Reloading is the thing that kill this weapon's effect.
    Crit damage only procs 16% of the time, (46% with a max primed crit chance mod) which is arguably still super darn low when you compare it to actual crit pistols.
    Mag size is a good stat for it, but 38% isn't going to make the weapon revolutionary though.

    The damage stats and crit/status on the actual weapon are too low in my personal opinion for it to sell well.

    The general average of this past week is 70plat. (Most containing at least 1 or two variant of Damage/multishot)
    To be noted, the lowest sale was 10p while the highest was around 150p.
    Those are really wide extremes so I really wouldn't hope for too much unless you found some Laser gun maniac with a lot of cash.

    Nor did I make you out to be.
    I am aware that you are giving out your opinion, and so am I ; I find that the way you envision things from the beginning feels a bit flawed.
    You entered through the game, played the basics and then called it hollow because it didn't fit the vision you had of the game.
    It's fine and there's definitely work to be had in those sections, but it's the wording that doesn't appeal to me.

    In a way it sounds to me like you tried to somewhat apply Dota's model to warframe instead of addressing the issues themselves.
    The way you phrased it make it seem like your ideal idea of content is replay-ability through balance and update, but you tackle that same argument in warframe by saying "Everything should just be made longer and we need more updates because it works in Dota".

    All things considered this doesn't really fix the problem you've put forward; The game will still feel hollow if you force through the content.
    Your personal end goal remains the same, completely the planet nodes and calling it the end.

    From the link you've provided I see a lot of missing information, benefit of the doubt though, Dota probably has missing information on their link as well.
    A fair example of this would be the Fortuna update.
    While you may see Fortuna as one thing, there's a hidden big update inside of it that was launched a month after ; Profit Taker, which brought a new fighting system, new mods, a boss with unique mechanics and new collectables and cosmetics.

    That's why I feel like just looking at the overview doesn't really help you out. It's just numbers for numbers at this point.
    That and the fact that Warframe doesn't follow the same replay-ability system as Dota so "need more updates" doesn't really give out the same results.

    The numbers are too hard to pin-point.

    For example, an objective like a single spy vault gives you 12 000 experience while killing a single enemy is around 150-300. We'll use those numbers.

    You may think "That's easy to balance, we have the numbers right there", but the main point of playing a defence is killing enemies quickly to fast-forward the objective. Warframe players enjoy being efficient in their grind.

    Camping the defence objective in its entirety is slow and clunky, and in your setup seeking kills would be much more beneficial as a single individual.

    5 waves in general in a team of four throws about 100-300 enemies towards you, that number scaling upward after every round.
    If a single player decides to try-hard and actively use a loadout meant to nuke outside of the defence objective with the goal of taking every kills, then it's going to be about 15k to 45k affinity for him alone in your situation while the 3 other members of the team would be forced to make a sad decision ; Either fight with a chance of 0 affinity or stay on the point for the minimal 12k.
    So if I decide to actively stay behind to save the objective, I'll be punished with terrible numbers if my team kills to well.
    ( But keep in mind, if we increase the objective affinity multiplier then being AFK on the point would become more beneficial than trying to fight )

    Remember, this is a power-fantasy hack n slash game, this type of result is very easy to achieve, it would even be possible for me to make your amprex completely useless even if you tried your hardest simply by using a specific strategy that didn't give you enough time to fight using certain weapons or abilities.
    In your ideal affinity sharing situation, I could become a detriment to your gameplay by being better in your team and that's just not good.

    I agree that exp farming places with AFK people are bad, but you're looking to punish AFK players by punishing a general mechanic and everyone in the game instead of making it easier to level up by actively playing. That's a step backward.

    A good remedial to this is what the Sanctuary did :
    Spawning more enemies as you kill enemies makes your experience go faster, killing enemies increases the time you'll play in the sanctuary.
    If an AFK player shows up in the sanctuary he'll just generally end up being a detriment to the affinity multiplier and ense to himself.

    There is definitely weak links in our warframe setup, we are aware of that and we're pushing for ideas to make them on par.

    However as a developer, "Launching a buff of 20%" doesn't just happen with a finger snap.
    Giving 20% more on anything wukong owns will still be disgustingly boring.
    20% more damage reflected from titania's buffs is still utterly useless.
    (Don't you dare diss Ash btw, great frame, just under-used)

    What those weak links need is a rework, and it just so happens reworks is on the to-do list this year.
    But you have to keep in mind, you can't put everything on par with the Meta frame.
    Otherwise your entire game would be everything has one type of 90% damage reduction, 500% damage increase, 100% immunity or nuking capabilities.
    There are frames that do very well without any of these, but the community just prefers Meta because it's an easy pick.

    SIde note ; I am a calm person, read the paragraph in a chill obnoxious voice, it'll help you out.
    I don't mean ill intent, I just strongly disagree with the way you generalised your experience and I feel like leaving Dota out of the conversation would've just made your point come across in a much better way.

    Throwing out random fast chunks of incoherent content is not good.
    We have bi-weekly content checks with the devs along with bug fixes and changes and that's plenty enough for me.

    If we're talking patch updates, we've had 6 pages worth of topics last year, each pages containing about 25 updates.
    Events, weapons, warframes changes and addition, bug fixes. Everything is in those.

    Needless to say, the comparison between Dota's scale and warframe scale are vastly different, what you consider a big patch like a new map I would consider a normal scale event in warframe.

    Am I worth less because I'm worrying about the actual objective, am I worth less for being their actual life-line if they leak?

    We have so many different options when it comes to killing; simplifying everything to "How much damage you did" is just too shallow.

    I don't do reddit, but I can assure you there's about two hundred tutorial and mechanics videos every time a new weapon/warframe, hell even a new quest appears.
    Youtubers and forum dwellers are prideful as all hell when it comes to covering everything, they won't let any bit of content or bug unexplored.
    We have a darn tons of third party websites and apps that also serves as calculator and tutorials for your every little needs.

    In conclusion, from what I've read I believe you were expecting a game with multiple objectives and an end goal and forgot that at its core warframe is a grind power fantasy.

    You say you've finished the primary story in two months and that you feel empty while I'm more of the idea that you practically just got out of the "tutorial" and now it's welcome to the grind.

    Comparing warframe and dota is simply not feasible.
    One is a competitive retry and redo mixed with team strategy while the other is a power fantasy/slash-them-all grind.

    And I'm pointing out the flaws in your pros and cons.

    You're asking for their business model to stop completely in order to add branching abilities and I'm telling you, it doesn't work like your example suggest it would.

    You want branching abilities and less cosmetic burdens.
    I'm telling you branching abilities on a free to play characters that already has a number of unique character cosmetics doesn't pay well, and your arguments on cosmetic burdens (TennoGen, Deluxe and prime) makes little sense with the warframe model.

    Hell it evens makes it harder for them to be creative with their new abilities without them being gimmicky.
    Take the last 3 warframes and try to implement their kit on any of our previous entries. (Since we're not allowed to make new frames)

    The only reason I pointed out destiny is because the model you're trying to use is a copy-paste of theirs and you've done me the favour of literally bringing their name into the conversation to further show that you were thinking of them when you made those arguments.
