I mean. If we're going off of the value of the pack by "cheap" then kinda? The 2100 platinum pack (£65.99) is more expensive than the entire 10 year bundle (£59.99). 2100 plat, both skins, signas, accolade and Regal Aya.

Oh yeah, when comparing it to the raw Platinum Bundles it's amazing value* after this change, but I wouldn't call either "cheap".

*Assuming you need/want the Plat and Regal Ayan, and you're not on PC with its 75% off vouchers.

  2. The Zenith Pack costs 81€ and gives as much Plat as the 90€ Plat Pack. Dope.

The Risen Pack costs 27€ and gives 800 Plat, for a cost of 3.375c per Plat. Even the best value regular Plat Pack cost more at 4.186c per Plat. Dope!

But the Celestial Pack offers only 800p, a cost of 7.875c per Plat. It'd be great if it had its Plat increased to be more in line with its cost as well. That'd be 1500-1600p if my math isn't wrong.

Other than that, I'd really want to see the "buy now before it's gone!!" FOMO bs gone.

Same, i cannot even focus on the cosplay now, i feel thunder in my mind lol. I really hope they rethink their steps, if not with this then with the future releases like this. And i pity those who will pay for this package, they are blind.

Same. Instead of vibeing with the sound panel and now the cosplay contest, I feel like I have to be here and on reddit making noise about this, hoping that DE will be convinced.

Was having a discussion in game about this, they have to make money somehow but from some of the complaints I've seen I believe adding an option just for each skin would probably help.

    Yeah.

They're overpriced, but they're just skins so I can just say "not for me". Whales' money goes to DE (and their Tencent overlords) which keeps the game F2P for everyone else.

They can't be bought for Plat, but Plat's value is about to plummet as Console Players become able to trade with PC Players, who buy Plat at significantly lower prices thanks to vouchers, so I can kinda get that too.

But the FOMO S#&$ is awful.

And when I put it all together, I'm just disappointed with DE, especially when put in context to the rest of Warframe's monetization.

DE, it's not too late, you can fix this.

  5. People throw the descriptor of "grind" on anything that isn't instant nowadays.

The repetition of content is innate to Warframe's design, as it is a Looter. As long as the repetition is interesting, usually achieved through mission variety, enemy variety, systems complexity and in depth loadout/playstyle customization, then it's perfectly fine.

One could also argue that as long as there's some sense of progression, repetition is fine too, though I wouldn't agree in full.

Warframe has some farms/grinds which are really fun and others which are absolutely miserable. Sadly its nature as a live service F2P game gives both little time to fine tune grinds and also an incentive to bias them towards tedious.

DE has done incredibly good work and is very generous when compared to most other F2P games. There's some obvious exceptions, eg Khora, but the Pity Systems of newer Warframes make even slow grinds, like Citrine, feel less miserable.

So is any grind ever fun? Sometimes, yeah, as long as the gameplay is still interesting. It's about the trip not the destination.

  6. Always be looking at him as his attacks are heavily telegraphed.

If he's pulling the sword behind his back, it's the sweep. Just Double Jump and Aim Glide.

If he's pulling the sword over his head, it's the chop. Just hop on to another Platform. Also, each platform is made out of several smaller dorito platforms. If you're standing on the rightmost edge of a dorito and just walk over to an adjacent dorito on its left, or vice versa, you'll be safe.

If he's pulling his head back, he'll be throwing the Crystal. Make sure you're as close to him as you can so that he doesn't overshoot the platform, and the moment he shoots move away so that he doesn't hit you.

When you pick up a Crystal either throw it immediately, especially if you're close to him, or wait out to see if he's going to teleport to another spot before wasting your shot. If that's the second crystal he's shot from the same position, he'll most likely teleport immediately after.

  7. These all look like good changes but I have some quick feedback:

I don't like that some Procs are limited to 5 whereas others are limited to 10. It feels like insted of wanting to build to new Puncture we'll just be covered by any incidental Puncture Procs.

Impact is already amazing against Grineer Eximus, as by the 10th (now 5th) Proc the moment their Overguard is gone I can go for the Mercy Kill. But against Corpus Eximus it still doesn't work. It should be that Corpus Eximus can be Mercied at 100% Health with Impact Procs moving that Mercy Threshold to include their Shields, 20% per Impact Procs up to 100% Shields at 5. So, like Grineer Units, pump them full of Impact during their Overguard and instantly Mercy them when it's gone.

Please look at Blast next, it's so bad and uninspiring!

That's all, looking forward to the Update!

  8. It'd be nice of Adaptation and other similar sources of DR applied to Overguard.

As it stands it'd buff Icy Avalanche which needs it, Rumbled which would still be bad due to all of its other issues and Kulervo who seemingly struggles to survive.

The only potential issue would be Rhino, but even though he's currently really tanky he's none the less outtanked by Nezha, Yareli and Revenant, so it should be fine. Plus it would cost him a Mod Slot on already tight builds.

Also, how come Vazarin's Void Shell hasn't been turned to Overguard too? It's pretty much a front facing Iron Skin, right?

I wonder if it's a shift or just "negative people" hasn't bothered to vote/comment.

These polls tend to shoot up r/Warframe when sorted by either "Hot" or "Top", plus that part of the community was rather negative of Railjack on release, so I choose to believe that sentiments have shifted over time. DE, more Railjack plz.

    36 minutes ago, quxier said:

But they are not "unbelievably overpowered". They just let people like me do solo RJ. That's hardly overpowered.

I dunno man. I could do Railjack Solo before Crewmates, but post Crewmates I don't Repair anymore, I don't see boarding parties anymore, I don't have to shoot at Fighters anymore. The experience has been reduced to destroying Crewships and doing the Away Team stuff, I barely even interact with the Forge. It just feels lessened.

  11. It's been hinted recently that Infested Liches will make their way to the game sooner or later, and public perception of Railjack has shifted from extremely negative to rather positive, so I expect us to get an Infested Liches + Railjack Update at some point.

But, imo, as long as Crewmates are so unbelievably overpowered and the Railjack is reduced to little more than a Taxi with automated guns, Railjack will fail to reach what heights it otherwise would.

The way this currently works is that you get the config slot of your exalted item that matches the chosen slot of your warframe. So if you choose config B of your Titania you get config B of your Dex Pixia. If you choose a warframe slot that doesn't HAVE a matching exalted config, you get the default build instead

Well that explains a lot. Please add a way for us to pick our Exalted Weapons' Configs.

  13. With the release of FSR 2.2 and its stated improvements on "removing" ghosting on fast moving objects, the Enhanced Renderer having made it to PS4, XBOne and on its way for the Switch and the Enhanced Renderer becoming the default option for PC, I thought it would be worth it to bump this thread again.

My points for FSR remain the same, it'll help lower end machines run the game better or have it look better, and in contrast to DLSS it works on any modern GPU and all Consoles that Warframe runs on.

I do wonder if the freezing when shader caching was improved. Last time I tried it was awful and the game seemed to reset the cache every time it started, so the same missions would freeze all over again to rebuild the shader cache. Nowadays games avoid this by simply doing this on startup and won't do it again unless new assets are added, if WF doesn't do that then it really should with this being the default.

It still compiles them at runtime, so the first time you enter any new area you're very likely to have stutters. But after that it will retain the compiled shaders and will stop stuttering. I was on and off Warframe's DX12 ever since its original release but I've been using only DX12 for some months now. When a driver failure made Warframe auto swap me back to DX11 I was surprised by how much better DX12 runs nowadays, both in comparison to its release state and to current DX11.

Just a list of GPUs that are recommended for DX12.

Recommended by who? There's GTX 9XXs (I think from the 950 and upwards) that support DX12 (Feature Level 12_0), which is the highest that Warframe currently uses. Is that maybe a list of GPUs that support DX12U? And it's not like Warframe is about to drop DX11 any time soon, even if the game runs better on DX12, at least in my experience.

I wish they would tell us in advance.

I believe that the following cards won't have anything to worry about:
    Radeon's R7 series
    Radeon's R9 Series
    AMD's RX series
    Nvidia's RTX2000 series
    Nvdia's RTX3000 series
    Nvidia's RTX4000 series

I'm more worried about having to upgrade my old PCs just to get them to run Warframe

I'm not sure where you're pulling that list from. It runs on PS4, XBOne and is intended to also run on Switch and Mobile, much much older GPUs will be perfectly fine, even including some of the beefier iGPUs.

  17. I might have found a potential fix for everyone who's lacking SSEs, but there's some very important caviats to mention:

    • In my testing it did not work, taking 5 to infinite minutes to even load up the Launcher, but a better machine than what I experimented on might be able to do it.
      • I tried on an old Core2Duo with 4gb of RAM which can barely run Windows, and on a less old plus stronger AMD 4 Core with 6gb or RAM. The Core2Duo never managed to load up the Launcher, the AMD managed to do so once. Both filled up the RAM completely, so if you have even more RAM it might work for you.
    • I've found posts of people making it work in other games, like Little Nightmares and No Man's Sky, so it should work for Warframe too.
    • I expect it to cause significant FPS loss for anyone who gets it to work.
    • The game will be running in a state which emulates SSEs, so it might trigger the anti tamper protection and lead to bans, try at your own risk.
      • Running Warframe on Linux through its layers of translation and emulation doesn't trigger the anti tamper protection, so this should be fine too. But again, try at your own risk.

    Now, for the "fix" itself:

    1. Take note of the directory path to the Warframe Launcher on your PC, eg C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe\Tools\Launcher.exe
    2. Download Intel's Software Development Emulator from here.
    3. The downloaded file needs to be unpacked twice. I recommend doing so in a root directory, C:\ D:\ etc.
    4. Open up CMD or PowerShell and go to your unpacked directory. It might need to be "Run as administrator".
    5. From there execute the following command:
      • .\sde -nhm -- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe\Tools\Launcher.exe
        • That directory path needs to be your own as you noted on the first step.
        • The -nhm parameter might be for appearances only and unecessary for when support for your CPUs trully ends. This whole thing seems to be working a touch better without it too but I can't know for sure until the support ends and I test it out.
    6. Wait and hope. If the Launcher loads up without the "Your CPU support is ending on 2023" message we're on a good track.
      • To me it did some weird S#&$, like trying to reinstall itself? I had no disk space left so that was a no-go.
      • It might work better with the stand-alone Warframe installer rather than Warframe installed through Steam/Epic.
        • If doing it through Steam, consider following this guide.
      • I've read that running stuff on "Compatibility Mode : Windows 7" makes it work better but I'm not so sure about that. Try it out if you're having issues.
    7. Click "Play" and hope all works as expected.

And that's it. Again, it's a potential fix which I expect to make the game perform like S#&$, but if some of you manage to make it work it'll be better than nothing.

this mean i wont apply to play warframe anymore ?

    Sadly, yes.

And there's no CPU that is compatible with your system and supports SSE4.2. You will need a new Motherboard, CPU and potentially RAM as well if you're currently using DDR2 rather than DDR3.

Alternatives would be to play through some Cloud Gaming Service like GeForce Now, or wait for Warframe to get Cross Save and hop on to some other platform like PS4 or XBOne.
