If it's a concern, everytime a thread like this pops up, just block the OP in game. Then the OP doesn't get matched with you, and won't need to worry about having all the fun and enjoyment taken away, and both parties get to play to their desires. Drastic, but until DE adds better matchmaking, I don't see any other simpler alternative.

That being said, I do miss the days where it was accepted that pub missions were anything goes. There has been a lot more complaints since the playerbase expanded, and while change is good, well... too much change is never a good thing, especially when it's kneejerk.

I don't know about you, but I'm sick to death of farming kuva for months on end to roll some combination of faction damage 300 times in a row.

I'm heavily invested in this game, and I've always loved it, but rivens really ruined it for me. For the first time Warframe has given me something I want, but no matter how hard I try I just can't have. I have friends and people in my clan who've played for years, but after giving the riven system a run now adamantly refuse to play Warframe, they'd "rather play something actually fun". We can't even persuade them to participate in clan events.

I understand rivens are a trader's paradise in their current form. If you just enjoy trading and moving platinum around then rivens are great. You're in a minority though, most people hate it. If you actually want to play the game and not the market, if you actually want a riven and not platinum, this doesn't work. There is no reason why we can't have both though.

The riven system needs to be less of a lottery. We need to know that if we invest a truly massive amount of time and effort into it we can get something worhtwhile. If some of us are insane enough to farm millions of kuva then we should be rewarded for it, not just the lucky bugger who got a "godly" riven on their 3rd roll.

What I keep hearing is that we should have the ability to invest kuva in locking certain stats. The concern here would be that getting a perfect riven becomes too easy. The solution I think is just to strike a balance between that and forever bashing our heads against stupid RNG odds. I think a fair solution could be to multiply the reroll cost for every locked stat. If the cost for every reroll increases to 7k, 14k, and 28k per roll then this is far from easy, and you still need to beat that stubborn RNG.

So, yeah. I'm not asking to make rolling rivens easy, just a bit less random. Give people goals they can work towards, however slowly, so that we can at least play with the knowledge that it's not just about luck. That if put a lot of effort into it we probably won't be forever stuck in a an endless loop of unlucky rolls. We at least need a little motivation to keep cracking at it.

The idea is pretty cool i think

People have complained about barrels before. Their behavior is inconsistent with what is displayed on screen. The blast radius is larger than the explosion we see. It wasn't like this years ago, they had a smaller radius.
I can never tell if I'm in the safe zone or not before shooting them. There is no damage falloff.

Another issue is the explosive ice barrels having the same texture as non-explosive barrels on Corpus tile sets. You can't tell them apart unless you move your cursor over them to see a health bar.

yeah and the fact that sometimes im just bulletjump around the map and suddenly pop one of those damn cold barrel that make me slow for like 5 sec is really annoying
